    It could be a play on words also. For all we know, His name could be Myer and he just left out one letter. I know of a couple of people who have taken their first name, reversed the letters for their user name, Cram (Marc). We tend to assume we know the pronunciation for a word in print. Most people would pronounce NIC as Nick. I've been told by an author that in his story, NIC is pronounced Neek. Another example would be my name, Jan. People is some countries would pronounce it as Jon while in other countries as Yan. Personally, I voted for the first choice. I don't care what you call me, just don't call me late for dinner.

    Where I work, when we get notified of the death of a resident, the email or phone call usually states that the resident has "expired".

    I prefer to call and talk to someone. Texting has it time and purpose.

    I'm not having any problems with it. In fact, I just finished reading it. Remembering what CJ had posted earlier, when I first got the blank chapter listing, I figured it was being updated. I happened to there one other time when a chapter was being uploaded.

    From the list of cities that I saw, Philadelphia was at the top of the list with 63 different things. Make me glad I don't get to the very often.

    When it comes to death, we tend to think along the lines of the physical side of it.

    I once had an author tell me that one of his characters was going to die. Imagine my shock. The more I thought about it, and from what I know of the story, I decided he wasn't speaking of the physical death of the character, but the death of the character as we currently know him. That could be considered a spoiler.

    If I remember correctly, the word that Dimitri uses means boss. With that in mind, it reminds me of the definition a friend of mine told me for BOSS. It means double Son of a Bitch spelled backwards.

    I think Phil will run across an old photo of Joe with Instinct. I think he will let Joe know that he knows who he is and won't say anything to anyone. I said awhile back, that I thought Joe know about Jerry/Scar. He may not know the full plan, but he knows something.

    This was my first thought to the question. He was hired to protect the band. Another possibility as well given that we don't know much about Gunter. I liked the conversation between the two of them. For most of the story, he as been quietly placed in the background keeping his eyes and ears open and we are just now starting to find out more about it. He sees Brandon for who he is and not what he is. I can see him putting his life on the line to protect Brandon, not because he' being paid to do that, but because he wants too.

    I usually drink 7-up when I'm driving a very long distance. This way, I don't have to stop as often. That's the problem with caffeine, it tends to make you go more. Hence the reason they tell you to avoid caffeine in hot weather.

    It's usually diet Pepsi or diet Coke for me. And sometimes Diet Dr. Pepper if I stop at a convenience store to buy it. Dr. Pepper in bottles is difficult to find in stories in this area. I prefer bottles over cans.

    Its been awhile since I've written anything but here's an update on the pump. Since my last appointment, I've been faxing two weeks worth of blood sugar readings to my doctor. Later that day, she calls me and we've made some adjustments to the pump. We've done that three times now and I think we are getting to the point where I'm not having to take as many bolus during the day time to bring my blood sugar down.

    A good stress reliever for me is to turn on the stereo and listen to some music as loud as I can get away with without disturbing the neighbors. One particular album I listen to is Supertramps, Crisis? What Crisis?

    Shortly after I started my current job, I was asked why I wasn't married. I simply told them that I hadn't found the right person. It stopped them from asking anymore questions.
