    More Fun In Miami

Rebecca is a moving force! She knew she wanted to be with Peter and is a real asset to his move! Her parents and brother were very welcoming. This was a very calming chapter!

    Chapter 4

I would personally like to castrate "Animal" - make him a gelding with another "Animal" giving him a taste of his own pleasure! As for Grayson's self-reflection and questions: he does share in the "consent" in that he went on his own, but not to be abused. He needs to confront Mike as I do believe Mike may have been overcome by the alcohol or perhaps even drugged by Animal. I'm eager to see the next installment!

    Ground Rules

Ketchup on pizza? Yuck! However, some people put all sorts of odd toppings on pizza. Not for me! I like that Jamie wants to try to make things equal, even if Bunny is resistant. I'm hoping we find out more about his brother and what his deal is. I, too, am wondering how Bunny knows so much about Reality shows.
  4. Rebecca is delightful and is most eager for Peter to return! It certainly was a bright moment in this trip. When he proves himself correct to Raymond, it may end up with Raymond having further negative thoughts and attitude towards him.
  5. Like @Gary L, I have been hoping for another installment to this tale! A pleasant surprise when I saw it land today!! I am not surprised that Don is living at the church's expense! Daniel might want to connect the arrival of Robbie to Don's change, but it wouldn't be a stretch to believe that his involvement with the cult that calls itself "Christian" is the root of the change. I do hope that while Nathan is in Vancouver, Rory becomes a much more important part of Robbie's life. Thanks for this installment. Looking forward to the next one!!!
  6. I remember the very first Bible course I took in a theology class in college. It really opened my eyes to viewing the literature of the Bible. We analyze, parce, and delve into good literature in order to understand and appreciate it even more. Yet, there are those who would not dare do that to the Bible! It truly won't destroy one's faith to do so, but actually get to the heart of the teachings. @Summerabbacat said it best: Ludo and Arthur have such a pragmatic approach to parenting. It is no wonder Damian and Adam are such remarkable boys.

    Chapter 3

What Animal did was borderline rape, even if Gray was somewhat willing - but not for what he got! He now knows for sure what he doesn’t want or deserve again! Mike has a lot to answer for.

    Chapter 46 S2

Perception doesn’t always equal reality. One’s interpretation of an event doesn’t always add up to being the total truth. Mac’s views are very true to him, and they may hold elements of truth, but they are interpretations not impartial and wider views of what actually happened.
  9. Ah, the eternal nature vs. nurture argument. I agree with @Cane23: makes for more intrigue!
  10. I'm really enjoying Ralph's growth in confidence. That he and Therese can have a civil, friendly and engaging conversation is certainly a positive especially for the girls. She does not seem as uptight about their development and interests. Well done.

    Chapter 2

I don't think the big bang has happened yet...the operative word, yet!

    Family Matters

There is little to nothing I can add to the above analyses and praise of the quality of your writing, @empath. I can only add one more voice to that praise!

    Fire

Such vivid and powerful writing! I felt like the invisible man watching every aspect of the siege of the warehouse. Now to see the mob guys intercepted and arrested or eliminated in a gun fight...

    "Bad Bishop"

What a transformation that has taken place in Pawn! Now to tame Bishop!
  15. And now to go from here....I do hope Carter can open up fully to Jeremy. Now to see how the truth is fully exposed.
  16. How many are imprisoned while telling the truth? We find out that some are exonerated years after (I saw recently a man released after 30 years in prison following sloppy police methods when he was convicted!). I do hope the SFO agrees and believes Ludo, but I do like the approach taken by @Robert Hugill: it keeps this interesting, well-written story moving and engaging!
  17. This is a very well-written story about a man, Nicholas Bowman, who literally comes apart during a summer vacation as he realizes things about himself and his family that he has either ignored or suppressed for a long time. Throughout, we meet complicated characters who surprise, entice, disgust, and wow us with their personalities. It is so riveting, even through very rough chapters, that the reader is propelled to read the next chapter. It is not your 'feel good' or happily-ever-after story, but is one filled with hope and fueled by love.

  18. I'm looking forward to learning how John Renkin ended up in this situation - a lonely, rules-abiding (?), man. Another well-written piece by @empath.
  19. Again, the ratings of the station were at the expense of near-death for Peter! While this titillation does result in ratings, it disgusts me personally. Watching a tree being uprooted and a roof being torn from its building should be enough to show the strength of the storm. Peter's ability to forecast was ultimately the skill that stood out to the cooler heads!
  20. Would it even be possible or advisable for Ludo to initiate divorce proceedings and full custody of Damian? He needs to cut ties totally with the witch! I totally agree with @centexhairysub: Damian probably needs some professional counseling, maybe not therapy, but a nice grandmotherly or grandfatherly counselor that he can talk to and vent to about things. While his dad, Arthur, and even Adam will be there for him, he needs to have someone he can talk to that will just listen. That's exactly what I did for 36 years of my professional life! I will still get a call periodically from former students to just talk and help sort out whatever is going on in their lives. It is an honor to be available to them! Another wonderful chapter, @Robert Hugill!

    Subjunctive

I do certainly agree with @weinerdog: you have so succinctly and eloquently showed how life/reality often upends the best laid plans we make or hope for! As a former language teacher, I love the use of the subjunctive!
  22. In the peace of this chapter, we gain insight into Carine and Beth as well as Ralph and Nolan. Ralph and Nolan are really trying to be as realistic about their relationship, but their experiences with their past relationships is keeping them from taking the risk of commitment to each other more deeply than already experienced. Ralph really needs to work through his "my Gordon" fantasy. Or is it a fantasy?

    "You Promise?"

Agreed! Nicholas still has to deal with his separation from Jett. True, he had to work through his own issues and the reunion with Dawson will take care of that. However, Jett and he still need each other. What a powerful, superbly written story full of pathos and yet, ending with a sense of hope. Brandon will have to face the consequences of his actions with the "punishment" of his father's undying love. Beth will have to finally drop her veil of denial and see Brandon for who he really is. I really want for the true happy ending: an epilogue of a year later....
  24. I spent 39 years between Massachusetts, West Virginia and Missouri - that's enough cold for me! Now 37 years in Orlando, FL, and 40 degrees Farenheit is freezing to me now!
  25. Will Dexter be exposed for what he has done and who he really is? Will Laura give up her plan to punish Carter for the crime she believes he has committed? Stay tuned for the next episode of this fascinating soap opera!
