Lol! Well, yes. Dimitri's background is very, very similar to that of Valdimer Putin; former KGB, though different directorates. Read into that what you will, but know that I consider Putin to be a tyrant. (I'm not saying that Dimitri is, though) Also, if you think some of the events in my story are far-fetched, just look at things like the use of polonium to poison a man in London. Pollonium is produced in nuclear reactors and it's main use has been as the initiator in early nuclear weapons! What? But I'm sweet and nice, and never do evil things! Yep! Actually, I considered a name change for Eric, be he was already "Eric" in my mind, and so I stayed with what I had. But yes, the first draft of the first eight chapters of LTMP was written a few years ago, before the first draft of FTL, but I re-wrote both. BTW, I forgot to give the name of the new chapter in advance! It's "Preparations"

Unless he already has. He;s evil like that, you know. His antagonists are usually very, very nasty indeed. Catherine Harris comes to mind (shudder). Or perhaps Cody is his own antagonist? His inner demons (yet another satanic reference! Baad Shadowgod!) would fit that bill all too well. Bear in mind that Shadowgod is often unspeakably cruel to his characters. He throws all manner of trouble their way. Poor Cody! Hmmm, methinks we need a Cody Protection Society. CPS? Needs a better acronym though. Any ideas? Anyone?

The forces of drakness are lead by the anti-christ, also known by many other names; the Mephisophales, lucifer, satan, the Dark Lord (lord of Darkness) lord of shadows, etc. So, referring to the antichrist as leading the shadowy forces of darkness is quite appropriate. I'm very much looking forward to DnCW 3 too! Old Friend, eh? Hrmmm... Give us a hint! Anyone care to guess? My guess was Jacob from LiS.

I'm loving this thread. I can't comment on plot points for the future, but I did want to adress the excelent points on bisexuality; It's mentioned in the text that Wilde and Steve are doing the after-concert "hook ups" with female fans, just like Jon, Eric, and Zeke. They aren't in any kind of committed relationship with the girls. Therefor, my feeling about what they are doing is that its not cheating; no one is hiding anything from anyone, and they both approve of their "rules". Would an ipen relationship of any kind be my thing? Nope, but that's just me. They are also very new to all this, so their "comfort zone" might be more easily accommodated in this manner. All I can say is, not everything stays the same.

Well, you must remember, we're talking Shadowgod here; he is evil, and enjoys being evil to his characters, so we definitly don't want to get him thinking about explosives! Totally agreed about JAcob and Matt; they are very different, but compliment each other; they "fit".

Speaking of threats, has anyone noticed the Shadowy one's new member title??? Take a wild guess which goat he's threatening to turn into a nanny! Besides, all fears over Eric's well-being are unfounded; nothing bad ever happens in my stories, it's all sweetness and light.

Hrmmm, at his current posting rate, he'll likely reach 5k before the end of this month. (it's a leap year, so that gives him an extra day!)

That was a great ending, Jack! I'd been wondering what happened to Cray's real father. Now, it looks like they will meet! And yes, I do hereby declare a CLIFFHANGER! Seriously, thank you for this story, it's been one hell of a ride!

Non-obvious spoilers.. well, ok (looks around nervously to make sure the Echidna isn't around)... Hrmmm, well, there are lots of words in the chapter (about a thousand more than normal). And one of 'em is noodles. Now, I'd better hope the Echidna does not see this... Uhoh... BTW, I don't know when the chapter will be up. I sent it to Joe for posting a few moments ago, but it depends on when the next time he's on his computer is. He might not be on until Tuesday. (He has this strange habit of spending several hours a day offline, he calls it "sleep".)
