    Chapter 3

Haha thank you, Gary. Loved the bird reference I'm really happy that I have been able to keep you engaged with the story. Jenson is carrying a burden and I think his memories of Merrick are one of his only sources of happiness. Thank you for all of your support and your wonderful review.

    Chapter 3

Thank you Eagle I'm happy you seem to be enjoying the story so far. You'll learn more about the brown eyed man soon. I think it will be interesting when Jenson realizes that his little friend has a crush on him
  3. These are great,Tim! I got Autumn and I would guess Toronto, but I wasn't sure about the water fountains, lol

    Chapter 3

I think Merrick's crush is obvious, but not to Jenson, who still sees him as an innocent kid. The southern plantation made me laugh too, but it was so clear in my mind that I had to keep it. lol Thank you very much for your review. I appreciate it.

    Chapter 3

I'm happy if I was able to put a smile on your face Jenson didn't actually live through the early years of Anglia. He just knows the history. That all happened a long time before Jenson was born. Merrick is a sweet boy whose hero worship has turned into a crush. Thank you for your review and support Drew. I appreciate it

    Chapter 3

Chapter 3 Jenson woke up drenched in sweat, his heart racing. “Fuck,” he muttered, running a shaky hand through his damp hair. He searched for his tablet in the dark room and checked the time. It was still pretty early yet. “Lights, 50%,” he said, and blew out a breath. Light illuminated the room, chasing the shadows away. Knowing there would be no more sleep, Jenson got up, grabbed some clean clothes, and left his room. He wandered down the dim, deserted corridor to the showers. I
  7. Jay parents are incredible people. They have offered a safe haven to these boys in a world that could very be cruel to anyone who is gay. Jay's dad laying down the ground rules was great, and very accepting (re: the drugs and alcohol). I can't wait to see their faces when Benny rolls up with Cal. The scene with them milking the cows was sweet and surprisingly intimate. It was sweet that Cal ran back up the stairs to change when he saw Benny dressed up. I think maybe Callie won't feel the need to hide behind is cam as much anymore. And that wresting match??? Daayyum.

    Tanka? Hmmm

These were beautiful. I don't know anything about form for poetry,so I enjoyed these purely for the emotion they invoked. The tribute to your mother was wonderful I think she would have been pleased to know that it's the small things she did to show you her love that you remember and which give you comfort.

    Prompt 246

I'm really enjoying the developing friendship between Levi and George. I can see how George would be torn. On the one hand, George is so much younger and innocent (in Levi's eyes) so he doesn't want to take advantage of him, but it's not surprising that Levi is developing these feelings. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens as George gets older
  10. Nelson and Eric are so adorable together! I love that they are honest with each other, both about their feelings and their fantasies. And Nelson's fantasy, a little sad (since he thought he could never actually have Eric) but also sweet and hot. And yay for Eric for putting Nelson's mind at ease about the prom!! Loved it Tim!

    Chapter 2

I'm relieved that people seem to like the slow build before the meeting. Jer is an interesting guy. I think sexual would be a good way to describe his species. lol Thank you for your review and your support
  12. out of likes, but I love this It's good every once in a while to remember the good things that you have in your life.

    Chapter 2

lol Yes I think Jer is pretty representative of his race, except maybe a little more self-absorbed than most. Thank you your review and your support Adi
  14. This was another beautiful poem, Gary. I read this and felt that the author is struggling with his faith. What is truth, what is a fiction? Who can be believed? I think most people deal with a questioning of faith at some point. Many churches have become very good at presenting the pretty facades that hides atrocities behind them. Blind faith can unwittingly help add more of those pretty coverings. The question is do we choose to continue to rely on faith, or do we walk away? Personally I think the answer is somewhere in the middle. I don't have blind faith in anything, but I do have my beliefs. The God I believe in accepts everyone and doesn't hate. A wonderful and thought provoking piece.

    Chapter 2

Tim, I'm really pleased you like the slow build to Merrick and J meeting again. I didn't want to rush the reunion, and I also wanted to give people a glimpse inside of their friendship. I agree about Jer. Heltarians are used to getting what they want, so Jer is a bit of a spoiled brat. Thank you for the great review and your support

    Chapter 2

Thank you Def . I enjoyed writing the scene between Merrick and his mom. I wanted to make the world as believable as I could, futuristic, but still familiar. I'm happy you enjoyed it. Thank you for the review and the support.

    The Letter

I feel for Noel, he is in a really difficult position ... someone else's life is in his hands. Someone who his grandmother obviously respected. But I also feel for the Seraei, especially the Ancients. In order to be whole and not go mad they must watch someone (or in the case of the King, two people) they care about die, so their spirit can be entwined with another. Sure I guess the person they loved is back in a way, but that still must be hard to deal with...loving that person but knowing you are dependent on their death to survive. What a position to be in.
  18. Wow...that was like a punch to the gut. At first I was so happy for Sim and then felt breathless when Sim walked in on Ryan and Levon. How could someone do that to some they claim to love? I know people cheat all of time but Ryan really seemed like one of the good guys. I don't understand poly relationships (not judging I just can't understand them at all), so Roger and Jack baffle me, but I am happy they were there for Sim when he needed them. I'm not sure how Sim is going to trust anyone again. Ryan had him so completely fooled.

lol I'll look into trying to find you one. haha I really happy that people seem to like the world I've created. I can see it in my head, so it's good to know that it's coming across on paper. Thank you for the great review Tim

    Chapter 2

Sparta? I hadn't thought of it that way, but I suppose it is a little like that. For J, I think his personality and motivations will become more clear as we learn more about him. I wanted to provide more details about vampires without it sounding like reading from a history text book. Children are naturally inquisitive, so who better to ask the questions that other people may not? Thank you for your support and the great review my friend. I hope I can make the eventual meeting live up to expectations

    Chapter 2

I'm really happy you like my take on the "creation" of vampires. I wanted to do something that was original, but fairly realistic (well as realistic as vampires can be haha) My goal with the details was to add a little depth, and show the differences between their world and ours, without being too technical or bogging the chapter down. I am really happy that it worked for you. Thank you for your great review and your support Dugh

    Chapter 2

Thank you, Gary Your support has been amazing. I'm really happy that the flashbacks are working. I wanted to show the development of their unlikely friendship and what it means to both of them. Thank you again for all of your unflagging support and encouragement (and of course your great review )

I'm happy that you like the build up to the meeting. It just felt like something that shouldn't be rushed. Thank you for reviewing. I appreciate it.

    Chapter 2

Thank you Drew! I've had a great time writing young Merrick. He's a fun character. I wanted to show that fine line between hero worship and first crush and those confusing feelings that kids don't quite understand yet. I hope it translated well on the page. I'm pleased you like the "creation" of vampires. I wanted to do something a little different. I'm happy it seems to have worked Grown up Merrick does take his duty seriously. Being raised by parents who take their duty very seriously.. Thank you for your support and your review
