There was so much in this chapter that I like and wanted to comment on. 1. Nate: He is such a sweet boy and I know he loves being with his uncles and his grandparents, but he has to remember, his dad hurt him, not his mom and not his sisters. Even if Megan decides she has to leave Mark there is no guarantee that she's going to completely uproot the girls and move to Ontario. It sounded like Mark was going to try to make an honest effort to make amends. If Megan believes that he is sincere then I think it's important for Nate to be there if that's the case. Megan has already proven that she will do what is best for Nate, and Nate needs to trust her. Right now the idea of living with his grandparents, near his uncle is new and shiny and exciting, plus there is the added bonus of a cute boy with Bodie, but I'm just not sure if it's a good long term solution.
2. Nate and Bodie: I think it was so sweet that M & K saw themselves in Nate and Bodie. I think that even if Nate moves back home that he and Bodie will stay in touch. Nate can always come back for the summers and see his friend. I think if they are like M & K their friendship will survive the test of time and distance. I had great "Summer friends" that I saw every summer when I would go and visit my grandparents. I'm still great friends with one to this day. Maybe one day they can go to the same University and maybe they will develop into something more than friends, or maybe they will always just be best friends. That's ok too. You can't have enough people in your corner.
3. The rings: Colleen's reaction and Nate spilling the beans was priceless!! I also loved Big Mike's reaction. He said exactly the right thing with Nate there listening. I can't wait until Kendall's parents find out! The moms might have to have a "group chat" started with Arron and Chet so they can all do some wedding planning
4. I think it's a great idea for Michael to travel back to Edmonton with Nate if/when the time comes. Kendall is right (as usual ), Nate will need the support.
