    Chapter 48

Quite the date, Albert. Everything was perfect.
  6. Thanks, friend. My stories are as much about the characters and their authenticity as anything. Yeah, Gran is a victim of skewed religion for sure. I like how you see her... monsters are made more often than not. That book has been used for so much viciousness and hate by those damaged or brainwashed. At some point, though, people need to think for themselves. That would be harder in those times, where the bible was often the only book in a household. Maybe she was betrayed--it might make an interesting story, what happened to Moss's grandfather--but she created a monster her grandson lived with every day, this demon that never actually existed. Cruelty in the name of the Lord is against my idea of Christianity, and I would hazard a guess that she suffered daily as well. I truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts and supporting this little story. Cheers! Please leave a story review if you can.

    Chapter 47

Very descriptive work here, Albert. I admit I was confused about the timeline... they had a date, and then he got a haircut and went shopping to get ready for their date? What am I missing? Cheers!
  11. Tree down! Now I have to rebuild the back wall of the barn where the siding rotted because of a pile of wood against it. Fun times....
  12. Hello, all! Tree guy is coming today to cut down another big tree which is close to my son's StarLink tower.
  13. I did love the old westerns, and I guess mostly because of the horses. Gary Cooper was a beautiful man. Loved his voice. I don't believe I was named after anyone. I remember my mom said she was the one who chose my name, and it was because she'd always liked it. When I first started writing, I never thought of writing a western. "Finding Refuge", an entry for the Rewind anthology, was what opened that door for me. It took a while before I wrote another, and now I guess it has become a comfortable niche for me. Happy to hear you enjoyed this one, Gary. Thanks for taking the time to read and leave a comment. Much appreciated.
  14. Happy weekend, all!
  15. I know it has its uses, but it is used for writing fiction, and I think that is wrong. Very wrong.
  16. It's a calling, and I'm sure you are great at it.

    Chapter 46

I love being in a hot tub when it's raining or snowing, and I'd kill for their studio... heck... their life too... it sounds pretty amazing. Thanks, Albert!
  18. Hello, folks! Yesterday I spent 7 hours building a 'cat house' for the back veranda. I made it out of insulated, double paned wooden windows that are five feet tall. I screwed three of them in a U shape, and attached them to a base with a cat-door opening in it, put on a solid top, and built three shelves inside(they can hop easily from one to the next) that have my three saddle pads put on them. Should be toasty for them. It's open at the back for easy cleaning, but slides up against the wall of the house for a tight, draft free fit. Very pleased with myself. Oh, and the two cats love it, though when someone walks by they run out of it.
  19. Snowing here. Hello, all, and appreciation to all veterans.
  20. Have a safe drive.
