Week Three Wednesday September 17, 2014: Milestone
skinnydragon commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Three Wednesday September 17, 2014: Milestone
Thanks for the great 'Twoey' comments, Parker. I agree with what you say but I also feel a little subservience there. Maybe because Erik was the first to do stuff with him? I'm not sure, but it might bear watching. -
Chapter 42 You Can't Turn a Heart into a Diamond
skinnydragon commented on Headstall's story chapter in Chapter 42 You Can't Turn a Heart into a Diamond
A lovely chapter Gary, even though it dealt with distinctly non-lovely stuff. At the least, it left us with hope for Nate, although I can't imagine him ever being able to return to that school. I'm afraid Josh seems to be toast, too. Perhaps the new house will need to be stretched a bit more? -
Week Three Wednesday September 17, 2014: Milestone
skinnydragon posted new chapter in 18 Weeks of Twoey
It’s time to rue the day that brought me here. Raskolnikov has confessed his crime, but I think his real punishment happened way before the confession. He should have confessed sooner. I think I’ll paint my room yellow. I'm also thinking maybe I better apologize to Biggy. I don't want this eating away at me like poor Raskolnikov. Apparently, Biggy never actually hit Twoey. Well, here it all is in Gary’s little newsletter. News of The Day 1. Twoey told us Biggy was only trying to push him- 10 comments

Week Three Monday September 15, 2014: Out of Control
skinnydragon commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Three Monday September 15, 2014: Out of Control
Thanks Lisa for such an in-depth review! I think you might be onto something when you say the punch snapped something inside David. I don't think he realizes it yet though. We might see yet more fireworks in the future. Ah, well. -
Thanks for the insights Lisa! Yes, if Miles hadn't remembered, this would have turned out so differently. I think Ian's meds are ...Miles!
-
Thanks for the review Lisa! Yes, as is usually the case, behavior betrays cause. I agree about the initial meeting hitting them each so hard, despite the subsequent year of anguish. Such is so much of life!
-
Thanks for reading and reviewing Lisa! At least this are quick reads, huh? I'm not sure how far I can go with this un-story, hehe, but maybe we can discover a bit about the boys by this fractured method.
-
Thanks for the review Lisa! Unfortunately Ian seems to be slightly insecure Oh, I think it was coffee. That must have been a can of ground decaf, where they live.

Chapter 8 First Day of School
skinnydragon commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 8 First Day of School
Wow Dodger, what a day for poor Robbie! As if the novelty, unfamiliar school, repressed sexuality and other 'fitting-in' problems weren't enough, he now finds himself at an educational disadvantage. That last one has to suck big time for him. Thanks for the careful school descriptions and UK comparisons. This was very enlightening! -
Thanks for your lovely comments, Defiance! I have to admit, with you, Ian did have a point in his worry. Of course he was just a tad over the top, but then it's what we sort of expect from him.
-
Thanks for your great insight, Reader! I agree. The more discoveries I make about these two, the more delightful their relationship becomes.
-
Thanks for the wonderful review AC! You say so many nice things. It inspires me to continue exploring their journey.
-
Thanks for the nice comments Parker! They seem to be good for each other, don't they? Ian's insecurities could be off-putting, but I'm beginning to believe Miles really understands him.
-
Ian was pacing. The last hour was spent changing clothes four times and making himself look as good as possible, considering how little he had to work with. But Ian was torn. Miles won’t think this was important. It’s only a two month anniversary for gosh sakes! I mean, is it that important a date? It is to me, but is it for Miles? He works too hard and has too much always on his mind. Why would this stupid day even be on his radar? No, I’ve got to ignore it too. I shouldn’t give him the gift.
-
Aw ...he finally found the name of his crush. Poor Brandon. Really insecure and borderline messed up. The trouble with those feelings is that others aren't going to understand why he reacts in certain ways. It will be frustrating to any friends he manages to pick up along the way. It will be especially troubling to any boyfriend he may pick up along the way! Well done MrM for giving us a peek into a basically lovely but very insecure boy!
-
Thanks for the review Defiance! I think you're pretty close to understanding Danny's feelings, except he's got one more that'll come out soon. David has mis-handled the Kathy 'favor' for sure. Now he's starting to pay the price. But I have to cut him some slack. He's only 15 and not street smart and is fighting some demons that we're not paying attention to. So I'm gonna keep my eye on him. You're so right about the bunch of girls scenario
-
Thanks for the nice comments Parker! If you don't mind I'll save my bow for the final curtain, and dodge the tomatoes Did you ever get on the wrong bus because you weren't paying attention, but when you realized it, you knew whatever action you took was going to cause more trouble and delay? Sorta like David right now. Next chapter is ready to go Sat. morn.

Chapter 7 Back in my own Bed
skinnydragon commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 7 Back in my own Bed
I loved the chapter Dodger! I have a feeling the boys will get pretty 'close' before the emigration event. I wonder if Robbie will realize Tom's not gay before he leaves. If not, it could lead to a sticky situation with an ocean between them. Can't wait for the next chapter to see what happens in Canada! -
Week Three Tuesday September 16, 2014: Crime and Punishment
skinnydragon posted new chapter in 18 Weeks of Twoey
We have to be prepared to conquer fate. I read the whole first half of Crime and Punishment today. Fitting, I guess. Anyway, I had to keep a list of all those big Russian names and who they were in the story. I mean, I can keep Raskolnikov and Sonya Marmeladov straight. But then Svidrigailov, Petrovich, Lebezyatnikov? Well, you get what I mean. Maybe if you're Russian. Anyway, I started giving them nicknames like 'Sid' and 'Pete' and 'Lee' only to keep them in my head better, and I hated fuc- 9 comments

Yes Reader, thank you. That's so true. Unexpected and therefore more special happened to me too (sigh)
-
Thanks Defiance! You're telling me this little un-story concept is working! The boys are becoming more developed without a story line. I hope it retains its interest for a while
-
Thanks AC! Yep! Both young men have little insecurities to deal with. They seem to truly love each other though. Maybe we can help them along

Week Three Monday September 15, 2014: Out of Control
skinnydragon commented on skinnydragon's story chapter in Week Three Monday September 15, 2014: Out of Control
Thanks for the great review Defiance! You sure squeezed most of the implications from this chapter that CG thought was too short ...hehe. I think your right about everything, except you may be underestimating how bad things could get by a wee bit
