    Thanks for the great insight Defiance! Ironic that Cal is actually pushing David into the relationship more securely than has Gary/Mel with their manipulations. Twoey DOES seem to be firing on all cylinders, doesn't he? He might be getting in over his head. Ya think??

    Wow CG, what a welcome home. I returned to the gift of this chapter! There is so much going on here. I'll just touch on a few things that tingled my weird brain. My heart almost stopped when Mikey brought up the business of going all the way meaning you weren't just experimenting. I thought, he doesn't love Jay? Doesn't think they're a couple? Thankfully that got answered fast enough. whew. Finn and Benny ...priceless! Callie and Benny ...more than priceless! Callie's room ...great description. Callie's grandmother ...more filling in of someone we already love. And then that final scene! Now I'm forced to wait for the next chapter with the image of that last scene in my mind! And what an image! HA! Thanks for this CG!

    It was a great, and long awaited , chapter! cjg82 is right. This is a great story and I always look forward to the next chapter. Adam is more into Kevin than he admits to himself. Of course, not admitting to himself can be a defense mechanism to protect him from putting it all out there on the line ...but that's sort of what he's doing with his body. I wonder what Kevin's take it on all this. Keep up the good work oat!

    Great little chapter Parker! At first I thought it was a regular church meeting and I thought he might get some help, but AA? Now that was a brilliant little twist! Eric/Stefan is taking care of himself, and that's the good news. He's just missing getting help, and that's the sad news. Can't wait for the next chapter!

    Thanks for the review Lisa! And I'm back. Kathy asking David to marry her is a startling vision! Haha ...I wonder how he'd react or what excuse he's find to say "Gosh, I guess I've gotta do it." I agree about Dr. Mom. David doesn't appear to be able to get the help he needs ...at least not yet. I think the new chapter is scheduled to post within a couple of hours. Now I have to catch up on MY reading, which will take me about 24 straight hours. Good thing no work until Monday.

    Thanks for the review and concerns CLS! Yes, 122 chapters thru New Year's Eve. Yikes! David does seem a touch naive about stuff doesn't he. Well, he's gonna toughen up at some point so I guess we'll have to be patient. Also, all the pieces aren't on the board yet

    Twoey was quiet during our run. Even Gary couldn't rile him up. I decided to dress up a little less for school today. A simple white V-neck T with grey skinny-jeans and blue/white Nike's was all. I had to wear my navy hoodie because it's a little heavier. It's almost October!! Danny was like rubbing my back during the whole walk to school to warm me up.     Thanks for the great review Defiance! I'm glad you mentioned the POVs. Originally I was going to do this the traditional way of having them each carry a part of the story. Early on I realized this way is much better, for exactly the reason you stated. Also, so much of their lives is not with each other, it's easier for the reader to suss what's going on. However we have to be careful to realize one boy has no idea what the other one is doing. As a reader, that's sometimes easy to forget.

    Oh ...great little story W_L!! This isn't the genre I usually appreciate, but the story transcended that a bit, and it is October. I even changed my thumbnail ...haha Whether you continue the story or not is up to you. This single chapter was perfect, as far as I'm concerned, but it does have the potential of lots more complexity in the relationships. Thanks for sharing with us!

    Thanks for the review CG! Aw ...c'mon, Twoey's only 15 and under uber pressure from the leader of this group he's trying to be in. As adults we, of course, can see all the outcomes, but the kid's just winging it in a town he knows nothing about. 15 yos make some really bad choices. How they learn from them and emerge is the real test. There's 100 chapters to go!! With David, I'm more curious about this sudden church angle. Is it paranoia or is something going on that he's been suspicious of in previous chapters? Maybe Kathy's not his issue

    Haha ...yes it does seem that way, unless she doesn't want him wearing brown with her purple You're right about David and analysis. He doesn't seem to know what's affecting him so greatly. But give him some credit, at least he knows something's wrong. That's pretty significant for a 15yo IMHO.

    Thank you Parker, for giving us a little hope! So the lifeguard is the other part of "us" from the beginning of the story. It seems their paths will soon cross, unless LG isn't in the same town where Stefan is eating and recovering. A very good description of rural roads and lanes! I've had a few similar experiences of a road I thought was going somewhere suddenly being gone ...haha. The one thing in the back of my head is that Stefan needs some medical attention pretty soon. Those hidden injuries could prove fatal. Great chapter Parker!

    I shared the anxious feelings with my friend. During the run this morning I complained about Kathy getting hot for us to go to the Homecoming Dance. Gary blew me off!     Probably the best thing he got was experiencing someone praising him. Having the surrogate mother and the love she showed was good, but Stefan knew she was a tad past understanding.     Hey CG, thanks for the review and great comments! Twoey seems impetuous but forgiving. After Mike, it's like he lets water just run off his back. (It could be the reason.) David appears to be opposite. Overthinking and unforgiving. Could be trouble for Gary in the future. How in hell are T and D ever gonna find common ground?
