Nice Gary! The Nate's POV was really necessary to explain about the box cutter (who else would know). But it was fun too, observing their mutual discovery through the eyes of one of them. Third person here simply would not do. I like the kids anyway and they give a different angle to K&M. Thanks for the review Parker! I got the feeling David was transported by the antiquity of the service. He seems to be missing any spirituality in his current church. Perhaps CG's comment about his lack of spiritual acuity is somehow related to this. I don't think David is of the mind to blame Twoey for Danny's death. About the 'spirit' connection, or whatever it is, we're still not sure it even exists. It would be interesting. We'll have to watch with open minds.

Thanks CG! Sorry to cause those tears. I also got the feeling Carl thought he should have intervened in some way. Especially when he mentioned the probable physical abuse. Even though he was a continent away, he'll suffer many a sleepless night, I'm sure. David's problems are many. He also has strengths. The present dilemma seems to be his inability to understand some things are out of his control, even his own body and its desires. We're all waiting for his 'aha' moment. It may take a while.

You have a good understanding of the personalities at work, especially that they ARE 15, the magic fulcrum between child and adult. They are going to make bad decisions and suffer consequences and hopefully learn from them. Poor Danny did, but never got a chance to get past the consequences. David is (obviously) a late bloomer and his true orientation will need to trump his desired orientation, or he's in for a world of hurt. Only 90 chapters to go I hope it never gets boring!

Wow Wolfman, I don't know how, but I 'lost' this story for a while. Well, I'm all caught up now. I just wanted to say it is a very compelling story and this chapter was very emotional. I hope Matt survives and gets his spirit back. The kid deserves a break.

Haha ...Believe it or not, David learning to cook is a serious device in Part 2, and you'll have it all explained tomorrow. Come on Parker, don't be mind reading me! Hard as it is to believe, Daleville has a hospital. It serves the many nearby communities and, of course, the fictitious Army base. IRL the nearest base is Fort Drum near Watertown, but this is fiction. Twoey's father ...well wait for tomorrow. If Danny and his father were killed in a car crash, it wouldn't generate any media circus. If the other stuff came out within a few news cycles, it might. OK, enough of this fun. I have to put a few finishing touches on Chapter 32, which is longish for the Twoey story.

I'm with Parker (not literally ). I don't think the story has stalled either. Stalled how? Robbie is doing stuff, and we know there are going to be consequences. There are enough people around him for support, but also some to challenge him. How Robbie responds to it all is the real story. I mean, come on. "Robbie arrives in Canada - announced he's gay - meets a gay boy - they become a couple - the end." That's not a story, that's boring. You're doing fine Dodger, don't get discouraged. Sometimes we forget about what it was like to be 15. For gosh sake, the color of your socks was something to sweat blood over. That's how easy it was to believe you'd be an outcast, even if we laugh about it now. Coming out? That's nuclear!! OK ...end rant ...sorry. btw a very, very entertaining chapter Dodger!

See Eric, that's what you get sticking around somewhere for a while. Always the problem when you become 'known' ...things get complicated. I don't think there's any indication Toby is gay, so Eric needs to watch his enthusiasm. But I think he's pretty cautious at this stage. Ambrose being a cop could cause problems if he wasn't satisfied with Eric's answers to the interrogation. Lots of nice stuff to worry think about Parker! Another great chapter!!

Nicely done CG! I say that because even I could follow it. This is clearly not my strength ...hehe. Is it coincidence that this is written as evidence of water flow, still in progress on Mars, has been discovered? Or did you incorporate those thoughts? In any event, terra-forming is now much more possible, although still a bit far off. I suppose for any incentive to exist for a spaceflight to span the time required, such nano-robots with the ability to prolong human life indefinitely, would be necessary, or some equivalent notion. It's a good story with both future-probable-scientific and future-possible-human (in all manifestations) developments. Did I actually write that last sentence? Sorry! Anyway, a great tale, as I anticipate future chapters... (Sorry again)

Well, chapter 27 is the last chapter of Part 1, whose title is "Twoey Discovers Himself" so Sept 27 marks the date when his discovery ends, I guess.
