    I was thinking about this, because my dog used to lick his paws as well. The brand of dog food he ate had a formula change, which caused him to be allergic to everything except mutton (lamb +rice), so we stopped his treats that were quite salty as it turned out. The licking stopped with the diet change.

    So do I. Yesterday, there was a squirrel lying flat out on the patio trying to cool off. Then later, a really big (I’m thinking it might be pregnant it’s so big) robin on the patio with its wings outstretched trying to cool off. I do have a little pond (an upturned table) for drinking and bathing, but this robin wasn't interested in it.

    Good morning, tim! Putting out the recyclables this morning and it’s nicer outside than it is inside right now. Is that Brutus who’s visiting you?     Happy day to you, too, tim. It’s supposedly 36C (97F) outside, but I’m not venturing outside to see if I agree or don’t agree. The AC is set at 26C (79F) and it’s just kicked on again, so I’m staying put. I hope you and your men are keeping cool. xoxo

    Sorry to hear your area is still having air quality issues. I noted the red bar. (as I like to call it) alert was gone for Toronto and my town, so I thought we were getting in the clear. I hope the cool weather in the next few days helps dissipate the haze as I think it’s the warm weather that keeps it in place.
