We have a little patch of red rhubarb growing in our backyard. I think it’s a pretty hardy plant as it’s been growing for decades, and we haven’t had to do anything to encourage its growth. We usually add strawberries to the mix, so our pies aren’t straight rhubarb.
Oh, and the excitement tonight was a 2 1/2 power outage. Don’t know the cause as yet. I’m hoping all the ACs that were running today as the heat will be back tomorrow, apparently. *fingers crossed*
tim, I hope you’re doing okay with the heat as I’m pretty sure what I get, you’re getting.
You should Google “recipes for one”. The following is just one I found, but it seems to be packed with a lot of varied options.
Oops. it would help if I post the link…🙄

The same happened with Timmy’s after the company was sold. Changed recipes for food and coffee.
Whatever happened to the if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it way of thinking, eh?
I like the glazed ones as well. Though, come to think of it, I haven’t seen them in my local Loblaws affiliate. Perhaps, they’re just in the Toronto stores?
I quite like Timmy’s BC, but it’s been years since I’ve had one, but I do recall they need to be fresh to be good.
The worst one I’ve ever had was crispy crème’s sad attempt.
I’m Reader, and as my name implies, I love to read.
You’ll find me curled up with a good book in the library. I’m so glad our new home has a cozy fireplace, which I look forward to using come winter.
You may be A, but you’ll always be B to me.
And, this never gets old. Just saying…

And hello to all you lovely DiCers in our brand new home. 😊
No worries, tim.
I realize, they’re grown up now, but I have to say I am massively impressed with those two thirteen year old boys. They adulted in ways some adults are incapable of adulting.
Also, thanks for the recipe. mom needs more protein in her diet, and these look very doable, not to mention, tasty.
Wasn’t it just glorious, today?
There’s a lot of rainy days in the forecast - we need rain, so that’s good - with temps staying no higher than low 80s. Fingers crossed that’s what happens.
I was thinking about this, because my dog used to lick his paws as well.
The brand of dog food he ate had a formula change, which caused him to be allergic to everything except mutton (lamb +rice), so we stopped his treats that were quite salty as it turned out. The licking stopped with the diet change.
So do I.
Yesterday, there was a squirrel lying flat out on the patio trying to cool off. Then later, a really big (I’m thinking it might be pregnant it’s so big) robin on the patio with its wings outstretched trying to cool off. I do have a little pond (an upturned table) for drinking and bathing, but this robin wasn't interested in it.
