They had some of the walls as well. Some in really bad shape and some very much intact. It was something to imagine the people who would have been looking at those walls so long ago that I could see nearly 2000 years later.
I went to the Vesuvius exhibit at the ROM back in 2015, I think it was. Seeing all the casts they had of people and animals who were killed in the eruption was so sad. There was a sort of dignity and grace to the exhibit, though, which was good.
I’m so sorry for the loss of your cuddly friend, Dodger.
I’ve been where you are now, so I can tell you grieving for your beloved pup is never wrong, no matter what else is going on in the world beyond our own lives.
Well then, thank you @Wayne Gray, because this is a mighty fine title. Makes one stop and think about what it’s really saying as it’s quite the oxymoron.
I chuckled when I read this.
I this new side of Gwen. Then again, maybe it was there all the time, but something was holding her back from letting it out.
Good on her for telling Matt to “not be the same” as her.
Reading further, it’s plain to see She is “growing up”, and coming out of her own shell. It’s good to see.
Really pleased Matt and Andy got there happily ever after. They both deserve it so much.
Nicely done, tim. 😊
This is really promising. Gwen was kept her cool and didn’t overthink too much. I’d say her confidence got a major boost, and that bodes well for Gwen in the future as she now knows things can turn out right.
She was mindful and just got to it. Comfort zone be damned.
My original opinion of her has thawed.
I like Matt and Andy are being careful and aware around each other.
Slow and steady wins the race and all that.
Matt still has a lot of things to sort out, and I think Andy will be a help with the sorting.
Thank goodness for Maeve not putting up with Andrew’s indecision (though it is understandable, imo) as I’m not sure he would have contacted Matt to arrange a visit without her “encouragement”.
I may have read it already, but I am very much looking forward to reading about Andrew’s visit.
On the the next chapter, I go…
Good afternoon, Mike.
And the same to you and tim, and Dan.
We had heavy rain for about 10 minutes this morning and now the skies are blue with a few fluffy clouds. I’m hoping it will stay that way.
