Exciting chapter! Both heart wrenching and heart stopping and a cliffie to boot. The anguish Casey and Shawn are both experiencing because of miscommunication is really sad. I am looking forward to the next chapter when, hopefully, they will talk (after Casey saves Shawn, of course). Shawn will convince Casey that he loves him and in no way does he think he is a freak or a monster.

Thomas would be horrified by Martin's behaviour. His actions and future plans make me think that he only went along with freeing Casey to please lover. If he had cared about Casey, he wouldn't be so heartless towards Casey despite losing Thomas. Shawn loves Casey so it was a given that he'd be okay with his being a Merman. His delight at that revelation is palpable. Noe he he just needs to go find Casey and share his revelation. looking forward to chapter 27

Excellent chapter!! I had to stop reading it every few lines to absorb everything that was going on from both Casey's and Shawn's point of view. Poor Casey has no idea that Shawn isn't horrified ( he loves Casey after all) just shocked at seeing something that is the stuff of fairy tales. Craftingmom, I'm not too worried about Casey because I trust that you wouldn't let anything happen to him (at least nothing to serious anyway). Not to rush you, but I am anxiously awaiting the next chapter. As reeves99 commented yesterday, your stories (in whole and in part) are imaginative and riveting. Keep up the good work

I'm still a little unclear as to who exactly the "four sets of parents" based on the storyline that has been presented. But, I'm working on it. Also, nice updates. They flesh out the story and characters quite well

The chapters were few and not long in length. The fact that you were able to say so much with so few words is amazing.

I loved that last bit at the end the end about Vincent's going home not being back to Saigon but going home (as his son) to Australia with the reporter. Unlike many people who only want to adopt babies or young children, the reporter saw the value in adopting the older child.

It's amazing how what happens in our past can have a signicant impact on our future. The baseball cards that Drew collected when he was young played an important role later in his life as they became proof positive of his earlier connection to Vincent Samuel Blake, Jr. If those cards didn't exist then he might not have believed Vincent and both of their lives would have been different. -
Okay,so I'm slow too. I thought the mom was being rather mean refusing to forward the package. She wasn't being mean, just sneaky.

I want to hug Garin for giving Kayden his own private stash of honey. That's incredibly sweet (no pun Intended) on his part. I'm not sure if this was your intention Craftingmom, but in my imagination, I see Ysmenia (the reference about his not liking to upset her and the short regarding Penelope's fan for a couple of examples) and Garin (the special honey jar and reference to the castle kitchen staff) surrogate parents to Kayden. Throughout your stories and shorts its become clear that they both love him very much. A love that along with Damian's love has made him the confident and adorably cheeky Neko he is now.

Wonderful use of the prompt! Just yesterday, I was going through my bookmarked stories and came across The Matt and Avery shorts. It's nice to get another look into their lives to see how well they are doing.

I liked the values instilled by the father concerning the sponsorship contract Rogan was offered. Something similar happened in my family when I was much younger and only understood part of the reason the offer was declined. Reading your story made me see how much Rogan's dad is a loving and caring a parent child because he put this child's needs before his own. Any financial benefit the dad may have gotten from the deal wasn't as important as important as his son's happiness and wellbeing be it in the present or in the future. Nicely done.

I'm reading the story from the beginning again. One, because the story is a very enjoyable read and two, beacause I was forgetting some of the details of the uncles et al. Your adding a "Cast of Characters" is a handy reference guide. I'm kind of sad that your new story won't be out until July 1 (it seems so far away) but like the old saying goes - good things come to those who wait. Have a great vacation.

Holy hell!! I am completely stunned by that ending, all I want to do is give that Vice cop a good tongue lashing for what he's doing to CJ. As my blood pressure returns to normal, I have to laugh though, because with all of CJ'spersonal and political connections, me thinks the cop could be in a spot of trouble. Especially considering he has entrapped and arrested a juvenile and not an adult as he must assume CJ is due to his physical appearance. Anyway, that's my rant for justice. As for Adriano's family and Tom's well being, everyone else who have left comments, pretty much covered what I would have said. This was an exciting and well put together chapter. I'm looking forward to next Friday to see how things turn out.

Another really wonderful chapter. I must apologize though. I was trying new things on the site and unfortunately, your story was the "guinea pig". I wanted to rate your story and I did. Somehow, the save bars started flashing and only three stars were showing. I'm trying to fix it so that you get a five star rating as that is what your story deserves. I look forward t you next chapter.

I could have done without thinking Jim was going to die leaving Kyle alone and heartbroken (you know he would have been). But I can forgive the momentary angst that caused because the ending was fantastic! I eagerly look forward to Book 2.

Another amazing chapter to start my Friday off right. The inner thoughts of the prospective grooms and CJ were heartfelt and amusing. I felt sad for Tommy though since his "bright spots" were no longer a part of his life. With the timeline you mention, maybe one of his kids would be attending one of local universities and would want to see his/her dad? Just a thought ( I like happy endings). I loved that you brought up the idea of silver linings as I'm a big believer in that term and can always find one even if the silver lining benefits someone else other than myself.
