The blind date is his cousin? Never would have imagined that scenario. Oh well, at least Aaron and Alex should have fun on their "date" as it is evident they get along.

A nice change of pace in this chapter from all of the previous chaos.

It would appear that the shooter was a professional marksman and a hired gun. I hope the police can find out who hired him so he/she can be neutralized before another hired gun appears on the scene.

I'm starting to get a bad feeling about Sean. Hope I'm wrong though. As for that voice on the phone and the gunshots, all I can say is oh no, here we go again...

I'm not happy with the idea of the police outing Dean and using Dean as bat to catch a killer. On the other hand, circumstances being what they are, the alternative could be much worse for Dean in the long run.

Just when things were going so smoothly, danger is rearing its ugly head. Dean doesn't realize it yet, but he is very lucky to have his mom's seal of approval regarding his burgeoning relationship wth John.

Another wonderful chapter. Their relationship is progressing nicely.

John and Dean are becoming more and more compatible with each passing moment. Like Dean's mom, I am very happy with how things are progressing.

This chapter brought back a lof memories from my days at university. I thought the storage locker for the books was a marvellous idea. I was an Art History major and can remember lugging just one of my "coffee table" sized textbooks around. Which, like Dean, I bought before classes started. Being in new and unfamiliar territory, it is always nice to have someone who has travelled that same path give a helping hand. John helped Dean navigate the ins and outs of campus life very well. It reminded of my oldest brother doing exactly that for me (and for other newbies he came across) as he was an alumni of that university. I wish I hadn't read Ozymandias' review as I had forgotten all about the circumstances that brought Dean and John together while reading this chapter. Oh well, on to the next chapter...

I've only just met him, but I have a good feeling about John Trask III. Dean is a very lucky boy as this windfall makes him financially secure and able to reach for his dreams sooner and much more easily than he previously imagined.

Before I read that last bit, I was thinking that Dean is an innately good person. He didn't tell on the bullies because he was a tattle tale, but because he saw the wrongness of what they were doing. His being included in the will is proof of Mr. Weiss' appreciation of his actions. His mother's previous interactions with him and her complete acceptance that he is gay are a good indication that his goodness is inherited. I like the description of the comraderie and sense of community that is prevalent on Ash Street. Reminds me of my childhood when the kids on my block (about 10 of us give or take) would play hide and seek with the entire block as our playground. The neighbours without kids were totally cool with us using their yards (no fences to keep us out) to hide out.

Poor Dean unlucky in love and now this business with the murder. I predict his returning to a normal life and routine is not going to last for long....

Another enjoyable read. It flowed really well and kept my attention from start to finish. The ending is a little ominous though. It seems he is safe from the bad guys, but is he really?

Interesting start to your story. I like the way you have described the characters - physically and personal life experiences - as it gives a nice foundation to promote realistic, every day happenings in the life of people that could live anywhere. Beyond the intrigue of the murder mystery, I detect the beginning of some subplots. Whether or not my detection skills are on par with the story, is something I look forward to finding ou.

Thank goodness for your other reviewers who clued me in . I have to confess that when I read Lisa's comment after reading the prologue, my initial reaction was ABBA? What? Where? Quick check back and I realized that I completely glossed over the credit as I was pondering the meaning of their words. It is a lovely sentiment. I loved ABBA when I was a kid and currently have 2 of their Greatest Hits albums on my playlist. Strangely, I have never heard this song. I will have to add it.

panda, grizzly, care, Pooky, black, brown, Huggie, kodiak, papa, mama and baby - like people they are all unique in their own ways. In the end, despite ther different size, sex, shape, colour or age they are all bears. I love this site because it transcends those differences. GA not only allows but encourages, members to share their thoughts and ideas (like the many awesome stories which are too numerous to count).

Brings back a lot of memories. For me, it was 14 years and a day of being with my 'cheeky wee bugger' as my uncle referred to him quite frequently (deservedly so most of the time). Even though 23 years have passed, with a few words that day is as vivid in my mind as if it was yesterday . Dammit, now you've made me cry just thinking about Piper (he was a Westie, hence the name). Okay, just flashed to one of his many escapades that earned him the cheeky moniker. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. ☺️

I haven't been on a roller coaster in years but chapter two sure bright back some memories for me. As Dr. Harding's history unfolded, my anxiety was on the rise as I was imagining he was being introduced as a future boyfriend for Doc. Thankfully, they are just business partners. I'm sure he's a very nice guy, but his exploits in college had him coming across as pushy and aggressive-traits that do not describe Doc. I have an idea as to who might be boyfriend potential for Doc so I'm crossing my fingers for their future pairing. Will wait to see if I'm right or completely off target before dropping a name. Its good news that Tommy will be okay and even more heartening to see the amount of support shown by his fellow officers. They don't care that he is gay and is married to a man. And that is how it should be. The little hills on my roller coaster ride ate dedicated to "General" CJ. What a pip that kid has turned out to be. I was surprised but pleased that he has the confidence to come up with a plan of action rather than deferring to his dads' as to what should be done. The end of my ride was none to gentle. Instead of coasting to a stop, "somebody" slammed on the breaks giving all the riders whiplash- at least that's what would have happened if we'd been in that waiting room and heard Mommy and Daddy Dearest had brought father Enger (rhymes with anger

I've read all of your stories at least once and loved each one of them. I think that I can safely predict that whatever you gift to your GA readers will be as well received as its predecessors. Just don't make us wait too long, okay?
