Always, a treat to take a peak into Officer Espinosa's day. Unlike a box of chocolates, you know what you're going to get...just the flavour is a mystery. LOL

Sadly, you make an excellent point Tim. That being said, it would be nice if this particular outcry became the catalyst that causes potential/previous offenders to realize that what they are doing is wrong; thereby, stopping the bad behaviour of some individuals. It may be a tiny speck in the grand scheme of things, but taking an arrogant SOB like Palmer down could possibly be a deterrent for other would be trophy hunters. I won't hold my breath though...just keep hoping

Well considering he's done it before, I'm thinking his claim of ignorance is complete and total BS. I may not do a happy dance (I won't be that cruel), but I will certainly not give this man an ounce of my sympathy now that his life and business are in tatters. Karma does not mess around...

Oh Gary, that was beyond beautiful... A friend of mine who is in his 50s followed the same path as you did. He doesn't talk about it much, but your letter has helped me understand some of what he likely had to go through. Thank you for sharing the letter with us, it means a lot that you did. ​

CJ, CJ, CJ!!! He was really showing his true age in this chapter. Or maybe it's his innocence? Never really thought of CJ as being innocent or naive. That being said, except for Captain/Colonel Dickhead (forgot his rank) and his mother's behaviour culminating with the exile from his home, has he ever encountered true evil intent in his life? I'm thinking he hasn't. Both Cesar and Brett handled themselves very well during the conversation with CJ. They pointed out how reckless his behaviour had been. Cesar listed the potential situations he could have found himself in with no way out, but he did it in a factual non-accusatory manner. They were calm and rational (though internally, they must have been in full panic mode for what could have happened to CJ) rather than shouting in anger which would likely only have served to put CJ on the defensive and tune them out. In other parts of D.C. Was happy to read that Cesar and Brett (was there any doubt?) were planning to alleviate any/all financial worries that Adriano might face in the future. Tom's getting a nice email from his ex-wife was a bit of a surprise. I had always assumed she was against him, but now the truth has been revealed - the iron fist of his father had her trapped. I see a family reunion coming soon....which is great because I always hoped that Tom's kids would one day (but sooner rather than later) re-connect with their dad. That their mother will be along for the ride? That just makes it all the better. Another excellent chapter Carlos.

I found that story too. I found a couple other good ones, but couldn't find my way back here. They were older stories, but still good to share. Will try to find them again...I've bookmarked the link so I won't lose again...

Poor guy. Good to hear it wasn't a stroke, but his poor knee. Hope the doctors can determine what the problem is and make things better for him.

Reading about the plantation house with its public and private family areas brought back a wonderful memory from my childhood. There's a house near where I grew up that is set up just like it. I remember being fascinated by the juxtaposition (not that I understood the concept at the time) of past and present living spaces because in one area, visitors could see both. Bryan's mom seems to be quite accepting of his relationship with Wyatt which nice to see. I liked that she picked up on his love of the outdoors by suggesting an outdoor wedding. And as to "When will things hit the fan...?" As Puppilull so succinctly put it, I guess we will have to wait and see, won't we?

Another great chapter. It was nice to have all that sweetness before the harsh reality that is Candy reared its ugly head. As for the 4 page (and growing) job description? More like a 4 page love letter...

I know what you mean. My decision to declutter mushroomed into changing/ rearranging the furniture in the living room and den. It's been going on a lot longer than originally planned and I still have the kitchen cupboards to do.... It's a good thing to be a sci fi fan. Loved the ode to Star Trek.

I was both surprised and not surprised that it was Brady who saved Silas - with Addy's help, of course. Surprised because it hadn't occurred to me that they would go to Ian's home looking for Silas, but not surprised as Brady would definitely do anything to protect Silas. Robert commented that he is a sucker for a happy ending, well so am I. The epilogue at the end was a nice glimpse into the happy futures of Silas and all of his "family". And one more thing Cynus, thanks for releasing the chapter earlier than usual.

Hi and welcome to GA. I was just like you and only read stories. That is, until one came along and I couldn't keep silent any longer. What everyone else has said is completely true. GA is a wonderful place to visit and socialize with people from all around the world.

Strong evidence of the solid bond between the brothers in this instalment. That is a wonderful thing to have and despite any teasing that might occur, they both know it's all in jest. Add Nelson and Jasper and the brotherly bond is four strong.

No more likes, so I'll do that later..... Mr. Plumber is an interesting guy. Makes me think that Officer Espinosa has either 1. Met his match or 2. Met a kindred spirit But, I can't decide which is the "lesser of two evils?". And is it a fair or erroneous description of either?

Just so you know, I would've liked your post, but I'm all out of likes (nothing new about the scarcity of those critters). So, while I admire your knowledge of arachnology, I would have been quite content not knowing that little tidbit of information. And, I am forever grateful, they will never habitate my neighbourhood.

I was going to say that centipedes give me the willies more than spiders, but then I saw the pictures. Yikes!!!! I hope most of the shots are extreme close ups and they aren't really as big as they seem.....????

They are enjoying and experiencing all the little things rather than going straight to the prize at the end. This approach only serves to strengthen their bond. In the long run, they will be all the better for taking this path.

for your lovely words today. It's not the medium you choose that is important. What is important is that you say it at all, whichever way you can. True love understands and accepts our foibles without judgement or qualifiers. True love need not be spoken but expressed in actions. A love letter is a perfect example of an action speaking louder than what we can hear with our ears. I hope the idea of writing a love letter(s) never goes out of style because it is evidence of a love that can be revisited again and again.

To echo drpaladin: Good morning Carlos. I've got my notes ready so I don't miss important points in my review. Firstly, I have to say that CJ showed incredible restraint during his interaction with Tommy's parents and the priest. I think a lot of adults wouldn't have been able to handle that situation as well as he did. Nice touch having CJ wearing a shirt that Tommy gave him - a dose of alternative medicine to make Tommy smile and feel better in his mind which will aid his physical recovery. It was also good to see how accepting Mr. Tomassi is of CJ and his dad's. I would presume from his last name that his family is Catholic; but, he has a much more enlightened and tolerant view of things - polar opposite of the Kennedys'. As for CJ being prepared with extra toiletries and shirts? Is he really just 15 years old? Finally, the carrot stick at the end - I'm looking forward to next week's instalment when we can sit in on that meeting in Arlington. P.S. You made me cry twice in this chapter, I hope next week's chapter will make me laugh. You know, when that cop gets his comeuppance?
