I’d say he’s got a bit of the wee devil in him... As for me, I like it on my cereal as well, so bowl scraping is just going to have to be. I went grocery shopping this morning, and so far the air is fresh and delightfully cool with not a drop of humidity. I’ll try and send some of my nice weather your way. Thunderstorms are forecasted for late afternoon, so the clear blue skies aren’t going to last, unfortunately.

@Mikiesboy The hemp hearts arrived and I had some on my granola cereal - very, very nice, they were. I was surprised at how tiny they were, though. For some reason, I thought they’d be bigger. I just reminded myself, I should have them with my yogurt today and see how that goes. Edit: Oh, and I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Thinking good thoughts for you, rick.

These kind of jobs in particular are very frustrating because who says yes to door to door soliciting nowadays? Not many I’d wager. Better luck next time Son Number Two.

Good luck, Number Two Son!

Projecting much, Mr. Hazday? That Bender has a bit of the wee devil in him, doesn’t he? Either that or he’s a world class gossip! ********* Excellent chapter, Carlos. -
I haven’t heard that one in ages, and yes, I used to play it a lot.
-
Mine as well. Glad I could improve your day, molly.

Oh, and his cover of Sounds of Silence is brilliant!

This is probably not what you’re looking for, but anytime it storms, and especially with thunder, this song instantly comes to mind. It’s upbeat, and it conjures fond thoughts of B, because he posted it first.
-
Knowing Carlos, his answer was a resounding YES. As for your stories, you write really well making them a pleasure to read.

I was encouraged to check out today’s chapter by a mutual friend. Nice nod to Liston Winery, Wolf. Course, I meant to read this story from the beginning... Oh well, best laid plans and all that. I will be back. At the beginning, that is.

“brolaw” I like it! Bet he doesn’t “correct” Michelle Obama. Just saying... Melissa Griffon. Just read her name and her reaction to Ritch. I know who she is... Another chapter where I learned something and a whole lot more good stuff to boot. Doing good, you are Mr. Hazday. -
Finished sweeping the patio, so I needed a cool drink. First iced coffee of the year. Yum...

“RITCHIE!” Is it appropriate that this made me giggle? It is just so Brett, I couldn’t help myself. Knowing your dedication to high quality research, I have to say I really enjoyed this chapter learning about the life of an air force cadet. It was all very interesting. Oh, and the familial interactions were spot on, imo. Nicely done, Mr. Hazday.

Mmmm... sounds delish.

Sometimes, lessons need to be learned the hard way, because no matter how much we might want to be, we are not automatically wise about everything. And yes, I agree, you are lucky to have a wonderful soul named tim in your life. Of course, reading about someone else’s hard earned life lesson is a lesson learned for the rest of us as well. I appreciate you sharing this with the rest of us, Mike. Thank you

Going back to their interactions with Ritch when he visited D.C. the winter before his parents’ death, I think Brett was more of an influence on than Cesar - remember the coat buying episode? I think the link to Brett was forged early on. with experiences enabling that link to grow stronger, imo.

The interaction with the trooper was well done. Papa, Dad. You know I’m loving this development. A piece of paper sure wasn’t necessary to make it “real”. Oops, forgot the Cap reference early on. Nice inverted Easter egg, Mr. Hazday. Brett passing on to Ritch - oops, just about typed “Ritchie” - what he should expect being a cadet is priceless. I’m betting Brett loves being able to support Ritch this way.

Good for you, that’s an awesome achievement! As for this, file it under “crap happens” and realize it will be behind you soon enough. Take care, Solus.
