  1. It’s good to hear from you, Chris. We miss you. Take care.
  2. Does it help to know you’ve saved a sponge - mine - from meeting the same ghastly fate?
  3. No worries, your answer was delivered and received.
  4. Good to know as I have all three sizes. Thanks, Mike, and thank tim for me, too.
  5. @Mikiesboy I just watched the strawberry oatmeal bar demo again, so of course I want to make it. Just one question, because it’s not stated in the video. Is that a 9 x 13 pan he’s using?
  6. I don’t know, but I kind of like your thought process. Good things - because they’re both good albeit, not together - is a nice “go to” rather than seeing the not so nice.
  7. I’ve got them saved, too. Now, all I need is an Instant Pot.
  8. And @Mikiesboy generously shares his knowledge with us. Lucky, we are.
  9. Not exactly warm where I am either.
  10. Full disclosure: I didn’t like borscht before I had this version of it. He also makes Moosewood pumpkin soup which is quite good. Just to give you an idea of how long ago this was. You could only find the Moosewood cookbooks in a little bookstore off Yonge Street. Edit: Moosewood is vegetarian that’s why there’s no meat.
  11. It’s been quite a long time since I’ve had this version, but this is one my brother makes. It’s outstanding, imo. https://www.copymethat.com/r/03lbdAteU/moosewood-cookbook-borscht/
  12. Too much talking? No way, tim. We’re learning a lot!
  13. Lucky you, that must have been quite the sight.
  14. I started buying greek yogurt, because I read that it was healthier than the other yogurt you can buy. I think I’m going to do a bit of research on this, and I’m also going to try the cheesecloth method for removing the whey. Now, I just need to find a good soup recipe...
  15. Me neither. @Mikiesboy Thanks for putting us in the know.
  16. I’m having a grey moment. Are you talking about the yogurt? I like yogurt, but don’t want to eat the less healthy kind that’s why I buy the greek kind.
  17. My taste in music is all over the place. I like a lot of different artists, but it’s usually a few - sometimes just one - song here and there. There is one band I have liked just about all of their songs since I was 11 or so, and I still do to this day. Don’t judge....
  18. Good to know since I eat greek yogurt quite often
  19. That’s okay, Mike. Bon Jovi isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. I don’t like all of his music, but I do really appreciate his charitable efforts. https://jbjsoulkitchen.org/
  20. Exactly! Who??????????? *shakes head in wonder*
  21. Oh, and I just booked my first vaccine appointment for tomorrow at 2 at my local pharmacy. I’m guessing it’s the Astrazeneca one as it’s at a pharmacy rather than the hospital where my mom got hers in March. My older brother and one of my cousins had the Astrazeneca one with no side effects, which I was happy to hear.
  22. @kbois I didn’t pass my driving test the first time either. That pesky guy, Mr. Nerves paid me a visit as well. I’m sure your son will get it the next time now that he knows what to expect.

First: I see the amazing skill you have being able to take thoughts and ideas and turning them into words on a page, and make the reader feel what you’re saying. Bravo to you, tim. Second: Your words/thoughts are sorrowful, but I am glad you are sharing them with us rather than keeping them bottled up. While I may not be with you physically, you always have my support, because I will always look out for you. You are a true gem which darkness cannot hide. I’m adding my voice to those before me, I’d be there in the darkness with you if I could, but if you think about it, see me with your mind’s eye and I - and we all - are by your side crowding out the darkness. xoxo
