I finally got around to gluing the rain gauge back together - mama duck holds the water tube - so found out we got almost an inch of rain, which was nice and the cool weather has helped to keep the grass from drying out to quickly. We also got one ginormous bang (defo a bang, not a clap) of thunder around midnight.
Im trying to think if we had a lot of rain earlier on, but I can’t seem to remember what it was like prior to the start of the big drought this past June.
I don’t have them that frequently due to them being messy, though I didn’t think much about the salt content. I actually have very little salt in my diet on the regular, so there's that.
Here’s to hoping the cool weather helps your headaches be less or none at all.
Sorry to hear the pup’s is with you for unfortunate reasons, but it sounds like you’re easing the stress for his owner knowing the pup is safe and well cared for. That’s a really good thing in my book.
xoxo
Happy Thursday to you as well, tim.
Mine too, though I’m also partial to the Cheddar flavour, despite them being a little messier.
How are you enjoying the cool weather? Quite a change from the heat wave, isn’t it?
I was thinking the same, but couldn’t quite find the right words, so thank you @kbois for giving my thoughts a “‘voice”.
And k is right about your poem, too, tim. It really is well done. 😊
Just checked the thermostat.
It reads as 29C (85F). Time to put the AC on and hope last night’s power outage had nothing to do with an overtaxed grid. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
ETA: I hope everyone else is keeping cool.
Luckily, the night wax just starting to cool off, so heat was not an issue. Also, my mom wax told when she called Hydro, the power would be restored between 12 am and 2 am, so it was a very welcome surprise when it did go back on. After just 2 1\2 hours.
Apples added to the rhubarb and strawbwrries sounds tasty. 🙂
