  1. Good morning DiCers! I hope you all have a wonderful day... Almost made my regular hot morning drink, then I remembered there’s a quick and easy alternative thanks to @Mikiesboy So yay, I’m having iced coffee instead! Edit: Of note, the cold version is sweeter than the hot version, so cut the required sweetener - yes, it is still needed for now, anyway - by half.
  2. Oh, that does sound nice. I don’t have a David’s near me now, so it’s good they have a website. I’m going to look for that one. Edit: The website lists an iced variety. Mmmm
  3. Sounds tasty, so if I’ll try that tomorrow.
  4. I do that for the most part, but there are some loose leaf one that I like. I use these filters because they’re handy, and biodegradable.
  5. I have the ball as well, but it’s messy, so I switched to fillable teabags - just need to watch the bag doesn’t close while I’m spooning in the tea, so the tea doesn’t go flying and well, you know make a mess.
  6. I’ve heard that as well. I think it’s let it boil, then wait a short moment until the boil subsides. Oh, and don’t pour directly on the tea bag, but put the tea bag into the water instead. I’m not sure how much of a difference it makes, but I bought bone china mugs (not cups for me, too fragile) because tea is supposed to taste better if it’s in bone china rather than ceramics or some other material.
  7. I keep a jug of tap water in the fridge, because I like it cold as well. So did my cat, and he was actually the reason I started keeping water in the fridge - yes, the furball was spoiled.
  8. Not giving off much heat is another plus. i really must get one.
  9. Speaking of InstaPots, when I was reading the blog, there was a video add for InstaPot Mac n’ Cheese (no pun intended ). The InstaPot is everywhere.
  10. I don’t recall ever trying Taster’s Choice, but I do like regular nescafé (though not the dark roast because it’s too strong) SDM also has sales like this, too - alternating weekly with Maxwell House (which does go well with hot chocolate).
  11. Speaking of instant coffee, I tried Maxwell House - it was all that was available at the time - and I thought it was awful. Nescafé is really quite nice.
  12. I have Agave, so I may try that as hot coffee is not as sweet vs using Splenda.
  13. I hear you, Mike, though for me, it’s milk I can’t live without. Yes, I am a milkaholic...
  14. @MichaelS36 One thing I have noticed with the cold version is the sweetness factor has increased. I think I’ll use just one package of Splenda next time I make this, which will be, tomorrow, of course. I’d try the Nescafé tim mentioned, but I’m out of it at the moment.
  15. It is delish and oh so refreshing.
  16. Priorities, Wayne, priorities. Just saying...
  17. Here's mine. Made with Nescafe Instant Espresso, Splenda, Milk and ice.
  18. Not that I need the caffeine right now, but I’m itching to try this, so what the heck, I can stay up late...
  19. One thing I thought of is the method to dissolve the coffee. I wonder if using a very small amount of hot water rather than stirring a lot - I’m assuming that’s how it was done - with cold water might be easier. Or did you find the crystals did dissolve without much trouble/effort?
  20. Okay, so I haven’t finished reading the link as yet. Having said that, I’ve been thinking it’s time to dig out my French Press so could brew a batch of cold coffee concentrate. This just might save me the trouble. Thanks, tim!
  21. Hi Mac. Hi Starry *waves* It’s good to see you both. Hello @kbois @Ashi and @Jack Renny and welcome to the DiC!
