  1. Good to hear Phil is finally getting the proper monitors.
  2. Must be something in the air, because I’m not feeling well either. Going to be a quiet day, I think. Having your work at home is both a blessing and a curse, isn’t it?
  3. We had thunder but it wasn’t very loud. It rumbled and rained a bit this morning, but I was already awake since the bird choir started practicing at 3:30 a.m. Maybe, I’ll have a nap later today...
  4. Thunder, Thunder. It be a thundering and a raining...
  5. @Mikiesboy @MichaelS36 Have you seen this severe weather alert posted on the Weather Network?
  6. Thank Mike again for letting me know about these masks, please and thank you.
  7. I didn’t open the actual packaging (clear plastic) they were in, because I figure why do that before I want to use them? Still, from what I can tell, they are of good quality.
  8. My order of Canada Strong masks - I ordered two - came today. They look really nice and sturdy. They have filters which are packaged separately so you can use them or not.
  9. I read that quote, and my first thought was George CoStanza - he’d be the ultimate backseat driver, imo. Poor Kramer...
  10. Yes, long coltish (not that I have any experience with that) legs are tricky aren’t they?
  11. Being around Owen for so long, one word came to mind: osmosis. What do you say @Carlos Hazday ?
  12. Just thinking about all that fruit, I wish I was your neighbour. Ah well...
  13. I’ve never heard of this, so thanks for the tip. Right now, my favourite apple is the Pink Lady variety, though Fuji is a close second. Would they be good cooked in pies? When we can find them, Spy apples are what we use in pies , because that’s the ones my mom says work best as cooking apples. Now you have me thinking there are other options. I haven’t done it in a long time, but I used to slice Macs and cook them in a pot with with brown sugar, margarine and cinnamon - made for a tasty treat. Oh gee, now I want some...
  14. Thanks for the warning. I just saw your notification and that exact question popped into my head. I like garlic too - melted butter with garlic and parmesan on pasta is a fave - but I have overdone it in the past which was not so pleasant.
  15. Next time, I shop, I’ll try that one. I’ve looked at it and wondered if I’d like it, because I like garlic. A recommendation certainly helps.
  16. Sounds absolutely delicious, A. Enjoy your dinner.
  17. Oh... I just ate my baby carrots plain
  18. I started eating hummus with low-sodium (the regular ones are too salty tasting for me) Triscuits. I haven’t tried making it, so Ive been buying this one after my SiL bought it at Christmas. https://sabra.com/dips/hummus/classic-hummus.html Maybe someday.... I’ll trying making it from scratch.
  19. I have a grater, and in the distant past we had a corer (probably still do, just need to search the drawer which is full of kitchen tools to find it) so maybe I’ll try it that way.
  20. Healthier option all around, so thanks for sharing it, tim.
  21. I looked at the recipe (love the list of alternative ingredient options, so helpful) and it looks pretty straight forward except for the bit about shredded apples. Had me going because I’ve never heard of doing that to apples. Did you use a regular shredder to do this?
