  1. Thanks for the warning. I just saw your notification and that exact question popped into my head. I like garlic too - melted butter with garlic and parmesan on pasta is a fave - but I have overdone it in the past which was not so pleasant.
  2. Next time, I shop, I’ll try that one. I’ve looked at it and wondered if I’d like it, because I like garlic. A recommendation certainly helps.
  3. Sounds absolutely delicious, A. Enjoy your dinner.
  4. Oh... I just ate my baby carrots plain
  5. I started eating hummus with low-sodium (the regular ones are too salty tasting for me) Triscuits. I haven’t tried making it, so Ive been buying this one after my SiL bought it at Christmas. https://sabra.com/dips/hummus/classic-hummus.html Maybe someday.... I’ll trying making it from scratch.
  6. I have a grater, and in the distant past we had a corer (probably still do, just need to search the drawer which is full of kitchen tools to find it) so maybe I’ll try it that way.
  7. Healthier option all around, so thanks for sharing it, tim.
  8. I looked at the recipe (love the list of alternative ingredient options, so helpful) and it looks pretty straight forward except for the bit about shredded apples. Had me going because I’ve never heard of doing that to apples. Did you use a regular shredder to do this?
  9. Scrumptious looking, and I bet they taste that way, too. Mike is a lucky man.
  10. That’s awesome, molly. Yep, my evening has been because the heat wave of the last few days has finally left town.
  11. Im not much for AC either. The last few years in Toronto, even with one end of my living room being nothing but windows, I found I didn’t need it that much. When it was really sunny, I just shut the blinds over the panels that didn’t open, and left the one exposed that did open. That seemed to be enough. Course, when you’re working, you need a comfortable environment to function properly, so AC definitely has its place.
  12. It was cool and windy when I left for my walk. The sun came out and it got hot, so Im currently vegging and cooling off with a tall glass of cold water. Looking out the window, I can see it’s getting darker and the wind is picking up. T-storms are in the forecast for the next couple of hours, and from the looks of things, we’re defo going toget one. I’m betting you will. too. Did you see it was supposed to be colder - 50s/60s - this weekend?
  13. There’s a park I like to walk to because it’s on the lake and has lots of seating areas along the shoreline. Lots of other people are of the same mind, but not once have I seen anyone not practicing social distancing. Granted, the population is a lot lower, but still...
  14. I guessed Trinity Bellwood’s Park and I was right - google searched the middle image to be sure. Sad, Dad people have to told the right way to do things as if they were children. Edit: Oops, missed the dang typo. :
  15. Raccoons are cute, but late last year when they got in a screaming match at 1 am they weren’t so cute. They were so loud and angry sounding, I wouldn’t have been surprised to see carcasses strewn all over the lawn come morning - this happened about 1 am. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case.
  16. Cool word, Myr. I also wondered about its origins, because I couldn’t see how it fit with its definition, so thanks for the further explanations @drpaladin @Carlos Hazday @Myr
  17. No, sadly not. 😔 The dandelions were mowed away yesterday, so I think he’ll move on - there’s fields of them at houses down the street and around the neighbourhood - most dandelions I’ve seen in my entire life until now. Admittedly, though, I had considered putting out some carrots for him, but that might bring the raccoons back.
  18. The bunny was back this morning. That makes three sitings in less than a week. I think I know where he lives...
  19. I can’t find the right words, so I’ll just say this makes me feel very strongly in the positive. Yeah, and I like it very much where these words lead your thoughts.
  20. Just saw a little bunny in the backyard pulling out and eating dandelion stems. He’s a cutie!
  21. Bleach is pretty strong (especially the smell) even if diluted, so I'm going to stick with soap and water where feasible.
  22. Oh, now I need to go look for them. Loved that show.
