Scrumptious looking, and I bet they taste that way, too. Mike is a lucky man.

That’s awesome, molly. Yep, my evening has been because the heat wave of the last few days has finally left town.

Im not much for AC either. The last few years in Toronto, even with one end of my living room being nothing but windows, I found I didn’t need it that much. When it was really sunny, I just shut the blinds over the panels that didn’t open, and left the one exposed that did open. That seemed to be enough. Course, when you’re working, you need a comfortable environment to function properly, so AC definitely has its place.

It was cool and windy when I left for my walk. The sun came out and it got hot, so Im currently vegging and cooling off with a tall glass of cold water. Looking out the window, I can see it’s getting darker and the wind is picking up. T-storms are in the forecast for the next couple of hours, and from the looks of things, we’re defo going toget one. I’m betting you will. too. Did you see it was supposed to be colder - 50s/60s - this weekend?

There’s a park I like to walk to because it’s on the lake and has lots of seating areas along the shoreline. Lots of other people are of the same mind, but not once have I seen anyone not practicing social distancing. Granted, the population is a lot lower, but still...

I guessed Trinity Bellwood’s Park and I was right - google searched the middle image to be sure. Sad, Dad people have to told the right way to do things as if they were children. Edit: Oops, missed the dang typo. :

Raccoons are cute, but late last year when they got in a screaming match at 1 am they weren’t so cute. They were so loud and angry sounding, I wouldn’t have been surprised to see carcasses strewn all over the lawn come morning - this happened about 1 am. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case.

Cool word, Myr. I also wondered about its origins, because I couldn’t see how it fit with its definition, so thanks for the further explanations @drpaladin @Carlos Hazday @Myr -
No, sadly not. 😔 The dandelions were mowed away yesterday, so I think he’ll move on - there’s fields of them at houses down the street and around the neighbourhood - most dandelions I’ve seen in my entire life until now. Admittedly, though, I had considered putting out some carrots for him, but that might bring the raccoons back.

The bunny was back this morning. That makes three sitings in less than a week. I think I know where he lives...

I can’t find the right words, so I’ll just say this makes me feel very strongly in the positive. Yeah, and I like it very much where these words lead your thoughts.

Just saw a little bunny in the backyard pulling out and eating dandelion stems. He’s a cutie!

Bleach is pretty strong (especially the smell) even if diluted, so I'm going to stick with soap and water where feasible.
-
Oh, now I need to go look for them. Loved that show.
-
It was about the same here.
-
I hope so, too for your sake. Very true about May being too early for AC.
-
So one good thing has come of this virus, you don’t have to go outside in this heat. You do have AC, right?

It’s sunny again, here as well. Window is back open again where I sitting, but going to leave the upstairs ones closed in case it rains again. Apparently, this heat wave (a heat alert on the weather network) is supposed to last through Wednesday with Tuesday and Wednesday being hotter than today. *sigh*

It’s so cool in the basement the smoke alarm started going off when it detected the warm air from upstairs - keeping the door closed now. Good thing this got figured out now instead of the dead of night. Course, it’s warming up now because a sudden down pour with wind which is bringing rain inside so had to close the windows. It’s the third flash rain in less than an hour...

Nice try, but no, not hockey.

It just started, and this was the first thing that came to mind. Can you guess what I’m talking about?
-
Okay, so both of these methods is what I found at first, so I looked a little more. Does your mask have a nose bridge? if so, make sue it is fitting so warm air isn’t escaping out the top. There are also DIY bridges. You can buy masks with a nose bridge or masks that can be shaped to fit the face. If you’ve decided to make your own masks, you can create a better fit for them by sewing pipe cleaners or twist ties into the top so they can be molded to fit the nose better. Haven’t found anything as yet, but there must be other quick fixes out there. Id ask Mr. Google and search Youtube because I have found some great info videos on there in the past.

Just learned something interesting from the man who delivered our groceries this morning. There are no Lysol wipes to be had - anywhere he said - so he bought Lysol spray instead. He said just use it with a rag and it will work just like the wipes - that’s a little easier easier on the hands if you ask me, so I think that’s a better way of doing it overall. Another thing we talked about was hand sanitizer which I had seen in the Organic section of the store. said that’s good (tea tree oil based usually) but hand washing is truly the best method. Why you ask? His wife is a biologist so has learned knowledge when it comes to well, things biological. The virus has a fatty covering that is repelled by soap. We’ve all seen what happens when soap is added to a grease filled pan, and this is what happens when the virus comes into contact with soap. Not to say we actually have the virus on our hand (or face), but if we did... Anyway, that’s my two cents for the day. Have a great one DiCers!

You know what’s coming, so I see your very valid point, molly.
-
@mollyhousemouse at least you don’t have to wait as long as the rest of us. Course, as the saying goes...
