Mac and Devin got Mac's parents permission with a little deception. They certainly plan their strategy well, and made sure Mac's wouldn't be able to track them down while they were at the reservation. I hope nothing bad happens with Mac's parents this summer. Mac is definitely getting more excited. I am too and looking forward to the start of their trip!
Yes, indeed there are many extremely well versed in the sciences on GA. I was chuckling as I read the comments that the story started out with magic, but is clearly moving to science. Could the civilization of Jamie's world have been the result of a apocalypse? Your plot has taken an intriguing twist Geron!
Me too! Now your and Albert have got me hungry. Unfortunately, I am a lousy baker, so I'll have to go to my favorite bakeries and get some French sandwich baguettes, Rosemary focaccia, and olive focaccia. Croissants would be nice and some cinnamon danish for breakfast!
Don't read this yet! You absolutely don't want to do that!!!! Go to the beginning of this marvelous story by reading The Rover's Return. Think of this as the last chapter in the story, because it actually is the last chapter. I do have to say the ending is an very unexpected twist that was fun. A perfect twisted ending to this funny twisted tale. Now go back to the beginning as start reading! 😄
Gobsmacked is exactly the correct term for this chapter. It is certainly how I felt. What an outlandish and fabulous end to this story. A perfect ending for a tale and possibly the beginning of another! Great plot, great character and a lot of fun. Thanks Ivor!
You have to check out Ben and Jake in their speedos. The lifeguard did! He should get a spanking for his naught thoughts. The boys want to meet their favorite author. What should George do???????? Another fun filled tale.
Ben and Jake have fun at the pool with their new costumes.
They are disappointed that George want to stop the emails. However, they very naughtily make a suggestion. Those boys need a good spanking!
Do you think I can have a turn?
After Ben and Jake send a report back to George, he decides that the pace of their advancement is too rapid. His sequel is geared to such, but the boys are not. They will not be held back and do their best to advance their studies. Jake is very helpful in tutoring Ben. IMO the boys need to study some other stories to find better use for a courgette!
As long as you are quoting The Bard slightly paraphrased @drsawzall, may I add a bit?
What’s in a name? That which we call a rose courgette
By any other name would smell as sweet; would work as well;
Cucumbers work quite well, and have a variety of sizes you can used for advanced study.
Chelsey won the game! Yeah!!!!! You got me on this chapter, Ivor. I'm a football fan and Chelsey is one of my favorite teams! How did you know? Are you Mr. GW? Poor Rover got sent to the bench with tummy trouble. What is happening with Mr. GW's Rover. Did he get it too?
With three articles of clothing left you would think the drafts game would last until one of them was ready for the shower. Although, considering these two they may not have made it to the shower at that point. I do have another idea about how they should read the story with one computer, but I don't think Ben and Jake are quite ready for that yet.
Ben needs to read some more stories to find out what to do with that damned courgette. He got the wrong hole! I wonder what George will imagine Ben did with the courgette. At least Jake gave him good advice about the teeth.
Mr. Washington is a bit worried after the last communication that his stories may be leading Ben and Jake astray. So he begins another sequel with that in mind. I think he is just going to send them both off to more research and development of their attractions. More fun for us and the boys.
So George doesn't want to led the boys further astray? I think Ben and Jake will get the idea once they read some other stories and look up what the word courgette means. Knowing these two that's enough to get them researching more. Ben's personal research is very interesting and I think Jake will want to do the same. Or at least Jake will want to review Ben's notes on the research.
An exciting and intriguing chapter. Jamie seems to see mechanics of magic on a quantum level of physics. His competitor seem to be back at the rocket science stage if @Ivor Slipper's comment was correct. I too suspect rockets since the long ago ancestors had weapons of mass destruction. Don't tell anyone, but..... Geron does like to twist us up in magical knots!
As a student of history, I kind of thought this might be like the medieval system where apprentices become journeymen, but need to prove they are masters by creating a master piece. In this case, Jamie's newest discovery that will change the nature of magic would certainly demonstrate he is a master of magic.
So right! It is especially needed because we have no 4th of July story in the Boone series now.
Sometimes trade offs are a bit....
Although I wouldn't change the Prince or this story for a Charlie 4th of July story.
