LOL! The comments are great! I love the idea of the wishes creating new lights to decorate Twombly for Christmas. I won't be surprised if a little magic runs in Ricky's family. Twombly is just the kind of place I'd love to spend Christmas with my boyfriend. Of course if I were single, I'm sure there are many of the elf guys I would be willing to do something with more than just watch. I do envy all the boys getting to be there. Uncle Bob is great, and I am sure he knows that his helpers are couples in love with each other. I wonder if Bob's brother and sister-in-law are aware. It sounds as if Connor is up to his usual shit. John had it right in his description of Connor when he talked to Matty. I can't believe that Connor was so stupid to forcefully restrain and kidnap two students. I personally think Zoey and John should press charges. That should be effective in convincing the Dean if Jonathan's mother doesn't do the trick. Zoey has a crush on Dex. I was expecting it to be Kane. Matty, being the great observer he is will probably figure it out soon if Matty doesn't tell him first. How the hell did the Xpress get the information that fast? Could it be the same person that saw Slicky's costume in Zoey's closet? A lot of heroic action by all.

You made some very great points in your comment @LemonSoda! This first sentence really struck me hard because of my own experiences. Avery is very alone and although his parents did try, the did not have the knowledge, skills, training or compassion to help him. Mental health issues and sex abuse issues were apart of my life that I didn't have the training for until I was confronted with and had to deal with them. I had to learn, and in most cases that meant that I had to spend the time and money to become educated. The first time I had to deal with a sexual abused child and then an autistic child in the classroom, the school district paid for three days training!!! Three DAYS! I was also given a teacher's aid who also got three days training. These kids needed much, much more help than we could give them in a classroom with 30 other kids that needed an education. Society ignores these kids and provides only a small fraction of the resources needed to help them and their families.
