    What I Found

Your words brought happy tears to my eyes Gary. I think that is because you and I know each other very well after all our exchanges. I was humbled by your comments about my courage, knowing that you are also very courageous in both your writing and comments. I look forward to reading your poems next week. Thank you for these words my friend.

    What I Found

Thanks Wolfpup! You truly understood what I was trying to convey. A leap of faith is a bit scary to contemplate, but the rewards can be awesome. I truly feel do feel my life now is more full. I do have the person of my dreams after many years of feeling like my life had been stalled and become stale. BTW, I also enjoyed your entry this year very much.

    What I Found

Thank you my friend. Your words are high praise and give me motivation to continue. I will probably be exploring different forms of poems in the future, and hope the results will all express the wonder, joy and humor of life. Many great poets here on GA are an inspiration, but also the great stories I have read like La Tombola.

    What I Found

Thank you for your kind words. Your words give me confidence to continue. I don't know about having courage, but I did have many people encouraging and helping me. @Aditus, @Valkyrie, @AC Benus, and @Headstall all provided inspiration and support. Aditus was awesome in helping me polish the poems. His help was invaluable. I am continuing to write and will add to Blackbird Singing soon. Most of the added poems will be Haiku. Thanks again.

    What I Found

What a wonderful comment. I do love poetry and appreciate the ability to use it to communicate what the poet feels. I see it in all the poetry I have read by so many on GA. Your reactions were exactly what I was trying to achieve. I'll be submitting several Haiku poems in a more traditional style in Blackbird Singing very soon. Thanks for your support.
  6. Maybe you could use it as an enticement to write faster! Once these two get started trading snarky remarks, it usually fills several pages.
  7. You are both back to your usual hijinks. I think you both should consider the needs of your readers and get back to writing....now! Do I need to get Chris after you both?

    What I Found

Thanks so much Aditus! Change is a constant in all life. Humans experience change from birth to death in many different circumstances. Most important changes in childhood are the result of adults imposing the change. Later, as we grow, we can make choices that lead to change, or accept changes initiated by others. My poem is to encourage people to take control of their lives, and make changes without fear and embrace a new life without regret.

    What I Found

Thanks Chris! Writing poetry is a new exploration for me. I needed a new creative outlet after I retired from teaching. I hope to get much better.
  10. Take a Leap! A leap of faith; I left my home, to find a place. Just for me. I fled away to find some peace a half a world away, and managed to find me. In this new home with clarity, I see alone and confused was no life for me. Here I can dance! Here I can sing! Here I can find new friends and family. No matter the age we can’t be afraid of taking a risk, of try
  11. Three poems I wrote as an exploration in writing. Content and form of each is different, but there is a tenuous connection to the anthology theme.

    Chapter 7

It must be disconcerting for Beckett in this strange place with rude beings. I wonder if he is feeling like Alice. The dragon is nice, but I think Beckett had assumed he would be riding the dragon. I am also curious about what is happening with Colby and his family now.
  13. A beautiful poem Gary. It was also sad for me as many of the photos I treasured are now in the hand of others.
  14. Oh to relive those innocent days when masks and costumes were often homemade as well as some of the great sweets I collected. The scariest things back then were Lon Chaney and Boris Karloff movies. ❤️
  15. The Thief Of Small Things does steal some very small things, until he steals something very big. This is a wonderful romance with a small mystery thrown in for good measure. It is a wonderful story that is filled with love. You'll adore the characters and want more. What you definitely will get is a sweet ending.
  16. Songkran started today, so I'm going out with Aod. Probably go play in the water fights tomorrow also.
  17. And that's the reason you watch Thai soap operas?

    Chapter 10

Thank you for another wonderful happy ending Geron.

    Chapter 9

I knew this was coming again. Just like the first time I read this beautiful and bittersweet scene, I got choked up again. David has made it very clear to Mark that nothing has changed. Wonderful! Mark knows that he betrayed David's trust and regrets it. To me that makes them a perfect couple. The only surprise is that Mr. Santini is not what I thought him to be. He is good at his job, and does care.

    Chapter 8

Cliffhanger? At least I can check off that box in the recommends this time. We now know what Mark didn't want David to find out. I'm sure that Mark is afraid to tell, because he is afraid that David might end the relationship. We all know that's not going to happen. I am sure that is why he stands so long in front of David's bedroom crying. Knowing the end hasn't stopped me from enjoying the story once again. I'm still in love with these two young men.

    Chapter 7

Great description of the Museum of Natural History. It sparked a recollection I thought other readers might like. A fun tour of the museum. I'm sure the boys will survive the first bump in their budding romance. Grandpa's advice will definitely help, as well as the diversion he tasked David. Looking forward to the results from the video. I'm sure they will be surprising knowing you Geron.
  22. Just part of the drama As The Screw Turns aka CotT2. It truly is a mad house of cards here.😜

    Chapter 6

Like Gary, I felt these words that spoke eloquently of the difference between emotions and love. However, at 74 years of age I haven't been able to understand all the overlapping differences between attraction, lust and love. I instinctively know, but don't understand completely. Great chapter. I also think Mullaney is not Mark's family name.

    Chapter 5

I am loving this story and all the comments. It is as brilliant as I remember! I'll go on to the next chapter and

    Chapter 4

Nice tour in the catacombs for David and Mark. The catacombs may not have real candles, but there is the beginning of a flame in both the boys' hearts. Grandpa seems to want to fan the flames, so all is well. Interesting that Grandpa feels like he has met Mark before. Since we didn't get much personal information on Mark, well have to wait to find out more. Great tour of the catacombs Geron.
