Another enjoyable day at the museum. If cljobe titled these chapters, this one would probably be "Armand's Paris Salon on Tour". I like some cubist art and even have a framed piece by an Indian (India) art student that I love. She never gained fame, but the blend of cubism and her culture are intriguing and colorful.

I had to giggle a bit. Armand and Colin are in Paris only a few days and Armand now has his own Paris Salon at Madam Lavigne's home.

Another lovely chapter, even if it includes a bit of fantasy like the extended hours. It would be great to be able to see the individual paintings and hear the comments of Armand describing and critiquing them.

A very romantic start to their honeymoon. I was pleasantly surprised that the director took them to see the original Mona Lisa. Paris is on my bucket list now I'm retired.

I like that they started the honeymoon before the marriage, if only by a little bit. I envy their trip to Europe.

The Killing Fields of Cambodia are also worth the time to visit for the same reason. I have been fortunate to know a survivor of Dachau and listen to his tale. I also had a student in my class whose family fled Cambodia during the massacre of 1.5 to 3 million people there. I still cannot accept how people can allow such evil to gain power.

General Lee was just as sexy as Luke and Bo. I would belie that observation if I included Daisy. My youthful fantasy was making a sandwich in the backseat of General Lee with Bo and Luke. 😊

I love this story with Armand and Collin. The Club and restaurants are great. The friends and family are warm and accepting. The only thing I have trouble with is that all the girls are stereotyped by their eating habits. There has to be some of them that don't eat like pigs, and would make good friends. My apologies to pigs, who usually eat with better manners that this group of girls.

If Armand keeps it going at this pace, the whole town could become a living museum of his work. I would love to see a fresco of the village where the bistro's owner grew up. Why haven't we seen GG for a while?

Hey @Bill W! Valkyrie will definitely have to drive like a demon to keep up with all the anthology work she has committed herself to this year. Her driving is like the theme, a leap of faith. I hope she lands safely every time she she makes that car jump like the picture. As for belly, I have one no one can miss. @Mrsgnomie taught me belay in her JayLoe novel, and belie covers many villains in GA stories.

Armand is a very humble and innocent young man who doesn't realize the value of his work. I am glad that Colin is there to support him when he realizes how great his paintings really are. If they are worth the amounts we see know, it will come as a big shock when knowledge of his paintings spread out to the national and global art community. I suspect Pete's painting will provide Pete a very good retirement, if Pete decides to sell the painting. Maybe Pete will make enough money from his restaurant's increasing popularity, and he won't be tempted to sell the painting. I think Colin's parents will lend their support and connections to make sure Armand's work spread quickly to the larger art community. I am enjoying this story very much!

Escargot is delicious, but I remember the first time having to overcome the thought of eating a snail. Fortunately my German friend reminded me I had the same problem with calamari, and also the snail is closely related to many seafoods I love like oysters and clams. It was so nice of Armand to gift Pete with a picture of Pete's cafe.

I think there will be a line of cat boys waiting if Matty is so foolish to leave Rusty. If I were going after Rusty, I wouldn't wait for him behind a door. I'd be out dancing on the fence!

An interesting chapter sparks some very interesting comments on a variety of topics. I will focus on the eating behaviors, because I had to deal with a cultural adjustment to table manners when I retired to Thailand. In much of Asia the foods are ordered individually, but laid out on the table for everyone to pick and choose. It doesn't mean that hygiene is ignored however. Things like only using the dominate hand for food, and the other for the bathroom, washing hands before eating, never placing food back once it is taken and other rules to protect others are important here. Differences in culture, but the girls would be considered rude here also.

Colin's parents are really wonderful people. I cheered mom when she stopped Jane's homophobic rant before it started! The best was when Colin claimed Armand as his boyfriend. Not the most romantic setting, but somehow fits Colin well, quiet yet decisive.

I suppose that Colin's mom could be a harpy, but after meeting Colin's dad I don't think that's the case. Colin's dad is decisive, protective of Colin and wouldn't put up with a wife like that. I rather think things will go well. I did like the idea of the cliffhanger following the picture hanging.

Armand's compensation for the painting may be much more valuable to him than the money paid by Collin's father. From the start of this chapter, we know when Armand started to fall for Colin. I wonder when Collin started to fall for Armand. Does Collin's eyes and smile in the picture reflect his feelings about Armand?

Very nice chapter with interesting comments about art. My only comment on art is art that communicates something to me is valued by me. I find beauty in art that conveys feelings, moods, messages or the splendor of life no matter the style or time.

Hey Albert! I was sorry to hear the weather prevented you from going to your mom's funeral. I didn't get to my mother's funeral either and understand the pain and frustration you must be feeling.
