Chapter 25: Bumpy Banquets
raven1 commented on astone2292's story chapter in Chapter 25: Bumpy Banquets
It was a very lovely chapter on the love and meaning of family. Vincent's recollection of being abandoned by his family was sad, however it also emphasized the importance and love of his new family down to the nieces and nephews. Aleric and Sophie added to the family bond by making sure Vincent knew he was their grandson who would always have their love and support. Caleb and Tash were very demanding of Tash's parents. They both stood up to them and told them honestly what her parents needed to know. Lowe was the perfect bridge to help his family unite again. I was surprise that Aleric was able to scent Lowe as a Liger. That kid is so full of surprises! I am hoping for some more holiday good will before things get edgy again.- 30 comments

Great drama in this chapter as well as a lot of love. Mom and Dad are on probation. Vern and Alice are truly both loving and a great support for Maddox. I love Vern's tag for Maddox. Bug. It truly fits Maddox, since we all know how much he bugged Jonathan to win Jonathan's heart. Jonathan really should have called Maddox back to tell him about Rusty, since Maddox asked him if he would be alone. It sounds like Xpress will release the info soon according to the author having conjured up the demon in the comments. It doesn't surprise me she know how to do that! After all the trouble cooking the turkey, I hope at least Jonathan and Rusty have a good dinner for Thanksgiving.

About the only thing I thought would happen to come true was the evil author twisting the plot in a direction I hadn't thought of. It's like riding that coaster blindfolded. I love Alice and hope she is leading a charge of siblings in support of Maddox. Mom was acting just the opposite of what we expected. I hope it doesn't last too long and negatively affect the family relationships. Maddox would be deeply hurt if he lost his belief in his perfect family. I do hope either he or Jonathan phone the other. Maddox needs support and love right now. It will also help him deal with any fake news he gets from the Xpress. I imagine the Xpress will still post during the holidays.

Drama in the chapter (and comments) was well beyond the opera Rusty was singing. Jonathan's dad is just as bad, maybe worst, than Jonathan has related prior to this call. I am overjoyed that Jonathan not only stood up to him, but also let him know exactly what he thought about Ahole, and all the BS Jonathan received before he left home. We did get some interesting news about Rusty. Jonathan now knows Rusty's deep secret and is determined to use that to blackmail more info out of Rusty on Thanksgiving. He also has something in common with Rusty that may lead to further revelations about Jonathan's family and what happened with Ahole. As for the comments about more drama in the next few chapter. Yes to the drama and maybe to all the comments. However, which will happen is up to the twisted mind of @Laura S. Fox. That leaves everything in doubt.

That is only one site and even has lesson in grammar and sentence structure. There are also other sites, and actually lesson plans for teachers to use in school. If I were still a working teacher I would have watched some of those, and maybe used in class with my students just for fun.

That sounds a bit ominous for the trip home. If the parents are in the background, then who will be the foil for Jonathan? I shudder to think.. Hopefully there will be something happen that helps Jonathan heal, and maybe Jonathan will decide to never visit again. The one thing that did surprise me was when Maddox and Jonathan did talk about the Asshole. Jonathan thought Maddox wanted Jonathan to say he hated Ahole, but actually felt pity for Ahole. I think Maddox would find the statement of pity even better than hate. Hate can be changed, but pity is much more permanent and definitely not sexy. I have pitied some physically sexy men, but never was turned on or went to bed with them.

Thanks Page! 😄Bucket gave me the inspiration to look the day up. I had no idea there was such a day. Of course in responding to Bucket, I had to go one further and look up how to talk like a pirate. That was the first video I found. I am pretty sure the whole video including the school was one big spoof. How are you and your guys doing today?

What You Don’t Know Makes You More Curious
raven1 commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in What You Don’t Know Makes You More Curious
Now you are worrying me! The best possible choice for Thanksgiving drama trauma is a trip home to Jonathan's parents. I don't think that will happen unless he gets and invitation. Ray's request might be the best shot, since Jonathan has declined Maddox's invitation, this time. It was fun to find out that between Jonathan's cooking and Hanna's influence Ray is gaining weight. Maybe he should start a workout program to change the fat to muscle. Rusty is still Rusty, but he seems to be more and more taken by the idea of gay sex. I will just wait and see. Connor and his stooges were particularly obnoxious. Connor obviously created a script and fobbed it off his lackeys. Express will report the whole thing, once again stirring up things for Jonathan. I think Maddox and friends will just laugh it off, unless Maddox gets mad and goes after Connor. I guess I will have to see what the next twist has in store before I will find that out. -
By then I will have 2 patches. I will have to spray paint one of the black. I have never seen a pirate with a white eye patch. Maybe do a rainbow patch. Online I found out that the celebration of the day originated in Albany, Oregon, home of one of my alma maters, OSU International Talk Like a Pirate Day is a parodic holiday created in 1995 by John Baur (Ol' Chumbucket) and Mark Summers (Cap'n Slappy), of Albany, Oregon, who proclaimed September 19 each year as the day when everyone in the world should talk like a pirate. I could also take lessons to talk like a pirate. This is only lesson one. There are more lessons and even more YouTube videos like this.

Hi Spike! How are you feeling today? I hope you're OK and feeling better!
-
Just got back from the check up. Doctor is very happy. I can't believe how much brighter the world is with the new lense. Still have to wear a patch for 9 more days.
-
I had cataract surgery on my right eye. Doctor will schedule the left eye after today's checkup. I was trying to maintain my focus on balancing, and don't remember talking too much. Although I probably would have if I stayed long enough. I didn't worry about someone hearing anything, since most of the staff speak very little English. Any word they didn't understand sent them off to find the interpreter. 😄 In spite of the language problem, they provided wonderful service. Off to see the doctor now. I'll check back later.

@scrubber6620 got it right between his comments on this chapter. I liked the use of this date, instead of a flashback to give information about Jonathan's past while they interacted with Jonathan's friends. I also like that Jonathan is acclimating Maddox to gay culture. The three students that neither one of them recognises has created a lot of speculation, but the only thing I could think of is that these three like cross dressing off of campus. I am looking forward to finding out more. The car sex was awesome, but the revealing of inner thoughts and fantasies of the guys was better yet. Now we can fantasize future sex scenes in the story! 😊

I think we can assume that @kbois has planted them all around the Shark and his Shade. She must have a red herring fish farm with as many as she uses in her books. I hadn't thought to look closely, so thanks for pointing that out!

Hi Everyone! Just a quick check in before I go see the doctor. Feeling good and the eye is not even sore this morning. I hope to see a bit better after the doctor takes the bandages off, but not much since I was told it would take about three days for things to settle with the new lense. Gary's right about not posting much, but I am planning on at least doing some for 15 minutes once of twice a day. Take care all.
-
Sorry to hear that Spike. Hope you get well fast!
-
Hi Everyone! Just stopped in to say the operation went well. Doctor changed from local to general anesthetic, so the hospital time went up. I spent 5 hours there today. Back in the morning for a checkup and to remove the patch. Doctor said no computer or reading for 2 days so you will see few posts for that time. Take care all!

Maddox was in a great mood in the morning. The kitchen conversations were playful and relaxed. Jonathan and Maddox's walk revealed a deepening trust as they talked about Jonathan's family and Drew.
-
This was well worth the wait. Jonathan's performance and skills impressed Maddox three times. Rusty's insatiable curiosity about sex led the the bathroom brawl that had Jonathan chuckling. Now we know how Mad Dawg got his nickname. He was smart even in Kindergarten to figure out he needed to defend himself from the dreaded girl name. Now that challenge is complete and they both know their in love, they need to get into a regular routine.
-
Well they're finally on the right track, but still haven't left the station. I know it takes time to prepare a virgin, but can't you just make the chapter longer?
-
Good Night All! Going to bed. Hate to admit it but Drew's right about getting to bed early tonight.🤔 I guess he finally got something right!

A Boyfriend In Need Is A Boyfriend Indeed
raven1 commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in A Boyfriend In Need Is A Boyfriend Indeed
Caught in the T-Shirt contest, Jonathan has a great plan that the gang all works to make a success. Maddox in a very possessive mood makes sure the audience doesn't get to ogle his man! Jonathan is rescued by his own knight in shiny, wet T-Shirt. Said rescuer gets a great reward. Rusty and the rest will get a great meal deal for their part in the plan, and Ray is on top of the world winning the contest, even if he knows it is rigged. These guys are a riot. Dex should get an award for outstanding supporting friend for his intervention on behalf of Maddox's pending deflowering. I wish all parents were as caring and informative as Dex's dads. I am sure their advice will prevent Maddox from and embarrassing first with Jonathan. Of course, Maddox should leave no doubt in Jonathan's mind of what is exactly expected of Jonathan this time. Wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall when Jonathan tries to politely say not this time for me, and Maddox says it is now time for me? -
