I'm late to the party already, but had to add to the comments. As always a great chapter. That was the quickest pregnancy to birth ever. It seemed the twelve months lasted only a few minutes. Keep this up for the next 8 chapters, and I can see Aido and Tater influence Loe enough to change his mind about having a kid. I did love all the things that got done with almost no fuss during the year. (See @85daviscomment.) One thing that did impress me was the trust that Seamus has for Loe. Seamus picked exactly the best person for the lady oven liaison. Kudos to Mrsgnomie for being a surrogate! A very honorable and loving thing to do.❤️

I agree! I would have claimed them, but Gary seems to have them tied up for a new story. I don't want to interfere with his research. Speaking of tied up, I liked Clo's idea for the title, but I like alliterations. So I thought maybe they should be all cousins with the family name of Knott. The title could be Naughty Knotts! After all, I can easily picture myself tied up in Knotts with them anytime. PS. Gary, you cropped the best part of the picture out. If you left the bottom part, you could see the middle guy is very nicely gifted (although it is wrapped).

Their preliminary interview went well, with the slight exception of D'gar's brief explosion. Kadin and Jevikel are overawed by Benden Weyr with all its people and dragons. I suspect they will be impressed even more as they explore the place. With all those people, it will be hard to find Kimi, but I suspect that Manora will help them when they are interview again. I am sure that Manora will do that. She is very efficient and likes to know everything going on in the weyr. Both boys are now safe, and will start to learn more about both the history and workings of the weyr as they settle in. They might even be able to find Kimi on their own. It would be nice if they also found the other two boys that were beaten and forced to leave Pinnacle Hold alive and flourishing in the weyr. I think that they may fit with D'gar's riders, since they are also kind of outsiders in a new environment. The description of the weyr was so well done. I wish that I could have walked beside them as they explored. It was also nice to have two old faces back in the story, Manora and D'gar.

It was a healing chapter that resulted in some very serious comments. A year after we are facing a new challenge to women's rights. It puts a different perspective on the discussion. I pray that the horrors of prior decades will not again visit us. I lived thru decades of do-it-yourself abortions, women living in poverty with a child they hated and other tragic circumstances for both women and children. Megan and Kyle were very fortunate to have parents that wanted them so much. Great chapter kbois!

Jett, Kyle, Megan and Kim all have a lot to process, but it is encouraging that they are already trying to get needed information and planning how to start the healing processes. The conversation with the parents may provide additional information as well as healing. Jett's boss is on his side and may also provide information. I like the positive actions that offset the events in the last two chapters.

The last two chapters were so very hard to read. I do have to thank you for this however. I was so wound up that I laughed till it hurt. After laughing, I felt much more relaxed.

I was almost right. You could still have Kim as Kyle's mother and blindside us even worse. Kim may not be his birth mother, but that means she is Megan's birth mother. Kim's story was terrifyingly sad. Kim is an amazingly strong woman to retain her sanity after here six year of hell. Your words described the whole experience so vividly. Kyle and Megan (who will surely be told) have an even bigger problem that could lead to a very bitter relationship with their parents. I can understand how their parents reaction to the news, when they found out years later, probably led to the change of Megan's date of birth on the birth certificate. They just wanted to protect the children. Kyle and Megan not only have to deal with the adoption, but that one of their parents was evil and the other a victim of rape. It would have been easier to accept they were the children of two stupid teenagers. You did an exceptional job of stirring things up this time.

I loved these highlights of dinner with Jett's family: Reminds me of you and Mrsgnomie. Jett’s mom immediately hugged Kyle, “It’s Beth. Mrs. Anderson is my mother-in-law.” Jett saw his mom roll her eyes. She and Nana had sort of a love-hate relationship. They hated to love each other and loved to hate each other. They rarely ever outright fought, but the verbal sparring over the years had evolved into something epic. Sharp barbs, underhanded comments and quick-witted jabs had become their norm. It was awe-inspiring to watch in a way. A great way to describe some of your comments battles. “Knock it off you two. I’m sure Kyle doesn’t want to listen to you bounce insults back and forth like a tennis ball.” Beth scolded, giving both of them the evil stink eye. Common phrases used by you and Mrsgnomie. “Kyle, ignore this bunch. I swear they weren’t brought up this way,” Beth said, her own laughter filtering through. “I call bullshit, Dear.” Chris said with a wink. “ These kids probably learned more misbehavior from you than anyone else.” The fun humor in your stories is one of your trademarks and now I know the source of your snarky humor. It explains not only your stories, but also the great fights you have with Mrsgnomie and readers in the comments. I did like the contrast between the fun beginning and the anguish of Kim at the end. The dog training in between these sounded brutally realistic. I had sympathy pains. Ouch!

Blindsided by kbois again! I didn't think you would know and understand the principal. Mrsgnomie must be a great influencer in your life. 😁 I too had the same idea about Kim's motherhood, but discarded it after seeing all the other comments. It is too obvious if we all think the same. How could you blindside us with something like this...Oh No! I just realized that you would find a way. Now I am worried. Another heroic takedown of a villain by Bruce. I loved travlbug's comment about Bruce and his squeaky toy. I am happy that Kyle has confided in Jett. Communication is important to any good relationship, which is why Kyle's parents are causing problems for Kyle and Megan. Hot sex...check! Cute dogs (including heroic floofer)...Check! Mystery and intrigue...Check! Angsty family problems...Check! Humorous...Check! 5/5 Good work! You got a 100% on this chapter.

Yes kbois, I'm know you get great pleasure each time you blindside us. Even more when you sit back and read the comments evilly chuckling. You and Mrsgnomie are notorious for you literary mayhem and love to blindside your readers. I don't know who is best at it, because you each blame the other for all the ensuing chaos you create. Now to review the chapter. It was an excellent cocktail of mystery, a hint of intrigue and smoking hot and heavy s.x! Thank you.

Great news! New stories just in time for summer!

Bruce is a hero. I love how he goes from a vicious warrior to a silly puppy making a scared little girl giggle. Of course Jett's compassion and sensitivity were highlighted in his conversation with Kim. In between those two events, your dialogue was filled with your trademark humor. Jalapeño farts from any animal are funny, but only if your reading about them. Of course comparing eyes to Remy Martin XO Excellence is pure kbois and had me rolling on the floor. I love this story!

I'm enjoying this 'humerus' story with all the cute dogs. I laughed at the way Bruce is like Jett while Rosie and Kyle are both tucking in the tail. Rosie and Kyle both got the first sniff in however. I know there will be drama, but I am loving this first bit of romance first.

Sorry, but I forgot to comment on the chapter. Love the dogs, love the hunks and wonder if Aido's brother was named after the dog. Great first chapter. I know that this will be a lot of fun to read.
