Reading an archived story means that there are not a lot of readers around to exchange ideas. That's the down side. However, it means that cliffies are no problem, since I can easily get to the next chapter.

Great chapter. It was fun to see them all play a game of hide and seek. I am puzzled that Fran wasn't there with them. Also, they seem to not remembering to include Fran in their meetings. The need to correct that. Carl's bond or the vampling missing should have something left in their rooms/homes that can be used to locate them.

I wonder who the man is that no one wants to guard when Cheryl captures him. I'm thinking it could be Tristan. Fran's powers seem to be rapidly increasing. The evidence is her ability to hear her mother singing and knowing it is for Michael and herself. She didn't even have to make an effort to reach out or try. It also seems like there was little expenditure of energy on Fran's part to accomplish this.

Carl's family seems like the opposite of Tristan's family. I love that Carl's Mom not only accepts Tristan, but is delighted that Carl has found his true mate. I just got to thinking about something in the last few chapters. Carl mentioned that after their mating Tristan might gain new powers such as extra strength from the moon or darkness. I wonder if that might also apply to Carl. Since Tristan is a fire mage, will Carl gain some powers related to fire or light? Maybe become immune to the sun?

Like Carl, I am worried about the new information he has received on the powers of a healer. It could be used against them, or for them. They need to check if there are any healers missing now. Also see if they can protect the kids by finding healers to help out if Cheryl attacks them with diseases. Loved the messages Carl got from all Tristan's friends.

Tristan's dad is a homophobe and an asshole. He has made one powerful enemy. I also suspect he is hiding secrets. Could he be in league with Cheryl? I also worry about others in the family that might be victims of his tyranny.

Carl and Tristan just don't seem to get a break from all the meetings. Cheryl's reign of terror does need to end fast! Taking family in order to gain power is despicable. Had to laugh at the comment that made them shower.

Since Tristan's level is important to the upcoming battles, I hope he is tested soon. I agree Tristan's family needs to be held responsible. I worry that Tristan is not the only victim of his family's stupidity and cruelty.

I think the way these two guys are approaching the subject of mates and mating is too funny. Let's duke it out first, then get to the make up session. Great way to get to know each other fast.

They've got a start of a plan and a list of questions to answer. Fran's bringing up the babies and children is probably very important. Carl probably wants to talk to Tristan about how Tristan's blood tastes and smells.

I read the poem/vision literally. Fran is the innocent mind. It is her mind that will fight another, the evil mind of Cheryl. Tristan and Michael are the magic, but they will fight against Cheryl's magic. Or at least Tristan's magic will have to fight to free Michael then take on Cheryl. They must win or life as it is known by paranormals and maybe all living things will change for the worst. Another wonderful chapter.

What a huge load of information packed into this chapter. I think the most important is Fran's abilities. Can they use her power to locate some of the missing people? If so, can the find Michael? Michael seems the best bet at knowing where they are being held. While forced to bring down the wards on the bears den, he was sneaky enough to build powerful wards to protect Fran's room and strengthen her ability to connect to her mother. Jenny's help is also key to bringing down Cheryl. I am glad that Jenny is taking care of Michael and Milly's kids. Also, that Milly is still alive.

Tristan is an interesting individual. He asks the right questions and knows quite a bit. I wonder what the sparks are that seem to pass between him and Carl.

Let's hope that Tristan determines that the being in Fran's room is benevolent and trying to help Fran find the really bad people.

TMI I did not need to know that Simon is a SCREAMER. I do wish that we knew more about what is happening with Fran.

I would like to think the benevolent ghost theory presented by another reader. However, I would like Kitryn to check out what Fran remembers. I also want to know who the "bad people" are that Fran's "Mom" mentioned. If it is Jenny trying to help the Yeah! I think we need to know more first before making that assumption.

Fran thinks she sees and is taking lessons from Mom. I wonder if that is what Meg sees. Does Meg see Fran's Mom, or someone else?

I love to see the protectiveness of those surrounding Fran. I suspect her power will amaze the other mages.
