I'd be willing to send some heat from here for anyone who wants it! 38 degrees today and 39 degrees predicted for tomorrow! Plus it is very humid. Had one huge electric storm 3 days ago. I thought the balcony doors were going to be slammed into the condo. Rain and wind pushed the water under the windows and onto the walls beneath and floor. At least the power stayed on this time.

Brandon is a very sympathetic character and I am enjoying getting to know him better. I wish he was more comfortable with his wolf, but considering his past it is understandable that he has this difficulty. That he has a mate is interesting, but it doesn't sound like they are true mates only imprinted on each other. I admire him for doing his job and willing to take off on a dangerous adventure to the land of OZ. I do wish him luck. Another great beginning to your story WolfM!

The Alpha is a great story that is a sequel to Running With the Pack. However, it can stand alone easily. Dorian is known as an aggressive bully who alienates those around him, but he wasn't always like that. His story begins as a lowly member of the Pit River Wolf Pack. From a family of one of the pack's warriors, he is given training and ethical values by his father. When the Alpha of the pack is killed in a challenge by a neighbouring pack alpha, Dorian's life begins to change. He earns a high position in the newly merged pack, and becomes a trusted advisor to the new alpha. His adventures continue as does his success in the pack. There is a very dark side to this story of betrayal. Dorian is affected by the betrayal and things begin to deteriorate. There is also the love of family, friends and pack as well as redemption and healing. WolfM is an excellent writer and creates a story with great characters, and plot. It isn't necessary to read Running With the Pack first, but it will help you follow this wonderful story more easily. You will get a lot of fun reading this story as well as the comments. (Comments often laced with blood lust by very engaged readers!)

You definitely are sneaky. I was expecting a bait and switch right up to the last chapter. I finally gave up and accepted that Dorian was dead. Then you made this a HEA ending by writing the epilogue. I do thank you for that. Your reason for doing that was right on the mark. It still holds thru today with everything that is happening in our world including covid. Thanks for a great story!

Levi is now dead and I was glad that Dorian's brother was the executioner, not Ethan. I was surprised that Dorian suggested that Ethan and Aiden take his place as alphas of the pack, even if temporary. They will make great leaders and heal the pack, but they have so many other commitments that it would surely stretch them beyond reason. Great writing and a nice plot twist. I will miss Dorian.

I hope Levi and his clan get all that they deserve. They are responsible for many deaths and misfortune to the people who opposed them as well as neighbouring packs and friends of Dorian.

I would have liked to see Carlos' look of innocence when he wrote this: I'm sure he was using his puppy eyes. I am still not convinced Dorian is dead. I guess I'm a holdout, but I think that there is more to the video than a sweet farewell to the pack. I think that the purpose of the video is to expose Levi and his clan to the pack. If nothing else, maybe Marshal could become the new alpha and clean up the mess Levi created...after the clan is removed from the pack. Great description of the funeral, if that is what it is really.

Tasha's father is an ass and Vincent will take him down. Right now it's the game that is important. Cyrus sneaking Kaplan into the game was an interesting move. It is obvious from the first that Kaplan's knowledge of Cyrus will help the hunters. He knows how Cyrus thinks. Kaplans suggestion that Cyrus might be setting up Vincent for the challenge match they did not get to have in NYC is valid. That Cyrus is one of the two defenders stationed by the flag certainly sets this up. However, another thought is that Cyrus might have to go up against Kaplan. That would be truly entertaining and Cyrus would have a ball taking on his beta and lover in this game. I can't wait for this to play out. Great set up. Remis got the first shot in before the game began. Since he is the other defender stationed with Cyrus, the hunters are going to need to be very careful and sneaking as hell.

I really enjoyed the chapter and the comments it inspired. Obviously Ethan and Aiden are up to something, but I don't have a clue. I doubt that there will be a resurrection from an actual death. I am leaning towards a faked death thanks to Ethan.

Cliffhangers are always a breeze if you come late to the party. I think a faked death was the favor Dorian asked of Ethan and Aidan. No sure how this will help, except that it seems Levi doesn't want Dorian dead. That still does not absolve Levi for all the evil he has done.

Dorian has now found out from Ethan that he has been poisoned. Now his mind is clear, it seems he may know who is to blame. It is interesting that Karissa Ryan, who is attracted to him and a very efficient aid to the council leadership. Maybe she has the skills to replace a villainous beta.

Good Morning Albert I loved the baby goats playing in and around the barn. The cat looking down at them from above was funny also. Hope you and Steve had a good day.

Dorian's sickness has left him distracted and paranoid. He is the perfect puppet to be manipulated by Levi. Dorian makes a great warrior, but doesn't have the skills to be an alpha. He needs the council to advise him in order to make good decisions. Levi has manipulated and been lucky in removing all others than himself to advise Dorian. He is the defacto alpha which is fine with Levi, since he doesn't have the warrior skills. For those he has Dorian. I can't wait to see how Levi gets what is coming to him. I also want to know how Dorian can rebuild his pack.

It was. I got a good night's sleep last night and got out for a while. Took a nap this afternoon, so I still have some energy left tonights for friends.

I at first didn't suspect Levi, but his analysis of what was happening in the Lassen Pack seemed to convince him that it was better to add the pack to their pack. Was that for the sake of the packs or to make the pack stronger in the future. A future with Levi in control as an alpha. I also suspect the cookies, but does Levi know about them is in question. Mom's making two batches one for Dorian and one for Levi. Does she do this so Levi won't be tempted to steal a couple of Dorian's cookies, or because it give Levi an explanation why he won't eat any of Dorian's? A lot of unanswered questions. We probably won't find out for a while. I didn't like the fact that two of the three nephews died, but what will happen to the third nephew?
