Very interesting comments that raise my curiosity. I am happy that Shell and Curtis are on track. I am sure she will still be feisty with Curtis and get her way with him. I would imagine that Seth's behaviours have alienated Curtis and he may be tempted to switch packs. Deputy Carlton's appearance shows a definite change in attitude to Parker. The news he brings is frightening and raises concern for the two packs. At least Forrest is getting more active in trying to track down the rogue grey wolf.

A great treat to read about their celebration. I just knew that the author would include a little wolf sex after Parker's turn. The grey wolf is still and enigma. Why did he first attack Parker? Now the whole pack is his enemy and he wants to kill the all. First we get a little relief, then it ratchets up again.

The grey wolf is a mystery to me, especially since he went after Stan also. It was great to see Parker's self confidence as he stood up to his father. Parker's dad denied that he knows what is happening, but Parker knows his father is lying. The turn was written so well. I hope the new pack's run is a great celebration for their newest members and Parker's second birthday.

@Ms. V I loved the way you described the qualities of Colton as a leader for his new territory. I think the pack will grow and prosper in this small town and their own headquarters. Buck and Stan make a great couple and will fit well in the pack if they decide to join. I also like that line drawn at bestiality, but think the author might be tempted to put a few wolf sex scenes in the story after Parker has his first change. @FanLit I think you are spot on and now share your suspicions about Barney. It would also explain his actions before and why he has a wolf for a golf buddy. The grey wolf is one sick wolf, although if he has rabies then the wolf can't be Barney. Rabies would affect both the wolf and the human forms the same way. Barney may be an ass, but he is not foaming at the mouth. That may change when Parker decides to tell his father Parker is moving out. 😜 Another awesome chapter building us up for the next confrontation.

@Ms. V I really enjoyed your analysis of Forrest. I was thinking along the same lines as you so eloquently expressed. Forrest is a complex character that sometimes borders on a protagonist. Colton challenges Forrest, but Forrest also respects Colton and probably wishes Seth was like Colton. The truth is that this story has many complex characters. I loved how Colton and Parker became inadvertent cock blockers to Jed and Steve at the beginning. I also think that John and family are great! Parker gently nudge things with Shell and Curtis is something to look forward to in this story. Parker may be submissive, but he has the power to get his way. He is the only one that can control Colton's hybrid form. That's real power.

Now the new pack have to face the next few months as a hostile pack in enemy territory. It is a new dynamic for them to face, and is filled with danger. Shell is a victim as well as Parker after finding out that Curtis has told Shell to avoid Parker. Curtis is trying to protect himself, Shell or both. I think that Curtis may be in a position soon that will test his loyalties and love severely. If Curtis is trying to protect Shell now, he places himself in the same position that Colton was in before Colton became Parker's boyfriend. Colton needs to watch what he says about the school being his territory. Alpha Forrest may decided Colton has overstepped the bounds of their agreement. Great development in the plot of the story that generates a lot of tension.

Carlton is looking at this all wrong. Like Jed's father, Carlton should be extremely proud of Colton. Colton is already an alpha with his own pack. That has been coming for a long time. Forrest will be around a long time before he retires and Colton would not have waited. It seems the only one that controls alpha Colton is Parker. It is going to be fun to see how the new pack changes their headquarters as well as grows in power. What a great trip this will be. Awesome writing with great character development.

I agree with all the comments, especially @Ms. V great analysis. I do suspect the pack will do well at their new pack home, especially when they get ride of the grey wolf. I also expect some of the younger members of Forrest View Wolf Pack to leave and join the new pack soon. Curtis is one that comes to mind. Great writing and great chapter.

Sadly @weinerdogthat is very true. @drsawzalldid a great job of describing why the new settlers assimilated more easily than the first colonists. Mithras and the original colonists gave them information and great gifts that helped them settle quickly. Capt. Robert's family, Ned's life long goal achieved, and Peter and Ned once again together represent what must have been true for all. Also, Mithras immediately appeared to Roberts confirming that there was a higher, benevolent being that was responsible for the prosperity and beauty of the planet. This was a great story to read. Thanks so much for the work it took to create this wonderful tale. I look forward to reviewing the story when the complete button is pushed.

Night Texy!

This was a beautiful chapter filled with drama, humour and reconciliation. I know that Colton and Parker will be strong enough to face the Alpha. Does anyone notice that Curtis' character sounds a lot like Colton? I am also thinking that Kim's pregnancy from Seth may be an important card to play by Parker and/or Colton.

I agree that Phuket is good, but I like the more laid back islands in the Gulf of Thailand. Just don't buy the "I ❤️ Phuket!!" T-shirts and expect to wear them back home. 😁 Also, it gets a lot of storms from May to August!

HaHa Albert. Should I tell @weinerdog who recommended Let the Music Play to me? Thanks for the recommendation!

Beautiful picture. Hard to believe St Helens was considered the Mt. Fuji of North America before the blast. Portland was close enough to get the fallout for several months depending on wind direction.

It is a good place to visit with kids. Bangkok is a must for first time visitors for a few days, then a must miss after that. There are several islands that cater to families and not just tourists. Chiang Mai is a great spot for outdoor recreation and cultural history. Let me know if you guys ever want more info.

Very intense chapter. Parker will turn and Colton is an alpha. Can't wait to find out how this will affect their future. I do hope that Colton tells Jed and Trey. He is going to need the support.

Some good questions in the comments. I am a little afraid of some of the answers. What the h..l is the grey wolf? Why is he focusing on Parker?

I just finished it, but probably will read again. I do think I will be reading both Sidewinder stories soon. 😁 I still have Let the Music Play to read first.

I agree with @Ms. V it is way past the time Colton should be talking with his dad. I suspect his dad will lose patience with Colton and give him a real talking to soon. Great chapter. I wonder if the land they are on is part of the Forrest's pack land or something abandoned and now open to claim.

Colton still has not had the Talk! I seems like he is not trying to control the situation and I fear it will backfire on him. Smokin' hot sex though!

First up tall, dark and creepy. Next, Jed's dad and family. This was funny as I was picturing their home life with all the howling pups running around trying to fight each other. Jed's dad better have a healthy income to feed all those pups until the grow up. Jed's folks seem to want to have their own family pack. (pun intended) Finally, the grey wolf. I bet Colton will have that talk with his father sooner than later.

I am building the album. It is in the hopes some talented GA writer want to add pictures for a story set in Thailand. 😄

It was busy today, but does not look like it because it is so big. I've been there when there was less that 30 people, and then it is very peaceful.
