Shauna shows unexpected compassion for Buzz. I wonder where that came from. Maybe she's just a great actress. Time is running out for Buzz and Jed. They need to connect before the conference ends. Parker doesn't seem to be aware that Jed is having a problem. That is so unlike Parker. Can't wait to read the next chapter.

It is great to see Jed back in form and back in force. I loved the way he tried to seduce Buzz. More trouble ahead, but Timber Pack will handle it all and hand Shauna's and Derek's head on a plater. Great writing that kept me hanging on each word spoken and thought. This was a really fun chapter.

Hi All, Hope you have a good day. I am going to bed, but wanted to say, Sawasdee Khrup 🙏

I love orchids. I collected and raised them in Oregon and again here in Thailand. How are you and Steve tonight, Albert?

Wow, I'm still on Friday for the next 20 minutes. Didn't know you were in a different timezone. How are you doing Bucket?

You are most welcome. Enjoy the last few years of your youth. Just remember you will always be a boy to this old man.

It is interesting that Timber Pack went to meet with Colton's new mentor only to find that the mentor was another gay alpha. It is good that the mentor has a sense of humour. I am surprised the the Lycan Council has some smarts even if there are a lot of traditionalist packs. I also am curious about the beta from Stan's old pack. He seems OK and I hope his concern for Stan's welfare is sincere. Off to the buffet to get feed was a bit comical as Jed smelled his mate and was cured of one of his medical problems. I am concerned about Jed leaving Parker alone. I hope there is no incident. If Colton finds out, I hope Colton remembers his own reaction to discovering his mate. Great start to the conference that I suspect will lead to some major conflicts soon. I enjoyed the way the author has set this chapter up to what happens next.

Parker is in a dangerous environment. Jed is going to have to be extremely vigilant at all times. Colton and Trey are going to be busy, but they also need to be aware. Parker is among so many wolves that are hostile, and Jed should not be his only protector. Jed is also suffering and not at his best. Shauna's talk with Buzz had me very mad. Considering what she said, and how quickly Derek arranged for their marriage, I believe that Shauna was part of Derek's conspiracy to kill Shauna's father and merge the packs. She is just as power hungry and cruel as Derek. As soon as she has established her power in the pact, Buzz will be just as expendable as Shauna's father. Poor Buzz doesn't have any good options at this point. He either submits to Derek and Shauna, becomes a rogue wolf (look what happened to Ethan), or dies. He needs another option. When he has a better option I bet he becomes both courageous and strong. He will put both Shauna and Derek down when he has a good reason to live.

Derek is not just cruel, he is very evil and vicious. I don't think being the alpha of N. America's largest pack will be enough to satisfy his ambitions. He is a medieval Machiavellian tyrant who only values power...his power. Putting Buzz into a position of subservience to the she wolf is disgusting. I hope Buzz finds the means to escape the clutches of both Derek and the she wolf. Jed is in a world of hurt. Trey is probably aware of that and tries to cheer him up by letting Jed know that he, Trey, has had sex with a man. The impending birth, Trey leaving for college and possibly a new addition (and all it could mean) to Colton and Parker's cabin foreshadows a big transition for the pack.

Happy Birthday Texy!

Jed has suffered a great deal more from the attack of the rogue wolf than I had suspected. He seems to have an issue with this confidence resulting in feelings of guilt. His strength is also sapped by the silver poisoning of his body. I am sure his resulting problem with his libido is strongly tied to this, and his sudden awareness of his personal need for a mate. He might even be subconsciously trying to redeem himself for his prior slutty behaviours. I did like the part in this chapter when Jed returns to his family home. Zef obviously idolises Jed. I also think Jed is correct when he thinks Zef bats for the same team. I hope that Jed remembers to let them know there is apple pie to share. This chapter flowed well by connecting the past with the present.

La Tombola is an amazing story, complex and compellingly written. When the Operation Plymouth Plantation colonists arrive at their destination, they find a paradise free from the pollution and destruction they knew they had left behind. They started their settlement only to find that their technology was quickly failing. Their supplies and backup ships were destroyed and they were facing a quick death in paradise. Their rescue by the Gnos who introduce them to Mithras is only the beginning of this tale that spreads over a millennium. This story is written with great care and love. The plot is quite unique and inspires discussions of life, sentience, relationships and gods. There are many times you will laugh, cry, get angry and feel great relief. The characters express complexity and reality in well written dialogue and internal thoughts. Most of all they will capture your heart. This is one of my favourite SciFi novels on GA.

This is a wonderful story. Parker is a lonely boy with two disinterested parents who hardly acknowledge his presence in their house. He does have one very good friend in Shell, one school jock, Seth, that makes his life miserable and one big crush on Colton a popular football player. Seth targets Parker, but before Seth can really hurt Parker, Colton comes to the rescue. Parker is surprised by Colton's actions and even more by the fact Colton addresses Parker by his name. Parker didn't even think Colton knew he existed. What happens after is both a dream and a nightmare as Parker is gently then viciously made aware of the lycan community around him. The plot is filled with danger, intrigue and many joyful events. I especially enjoyed the humour found throughout the book. This is one of the great shifter books to be found on GA written by an excellent author. The characters, dialogue, setting and plot are all skilfully crafted and compelling. I highly recommend this book to all readers.

This was a great introduction into Rob Colton's writing. I enjoyed the entire book, including this sweet and gentle epilogue.

It has been good. I have been reading, moving some furniture around and working a bit on my to do list so it doesn't get too long. Like you, I will be headed to bed soon. Take care.

Hi Bucket! That's the same kind of thing that is happening here. The weather is just plain weird. Hope your day has gone well.

This was a magnificent chapter so well written to show the changing dynamic of Loren and Jay's relationship. The inner thoughts and verbal dialogue revealed a lot about how both men have changed. Several comments were about the elephant in the room, but I felt that both Jay and Loren now appreciate each other's fear for the safety of the other. Jay was great in taking up the job of keeping Loe's fans involved and even grew the popularity by his involvement. I think this is pointing to a new and more involved presence of Jay in Living the Loe Life. Loren may think that the beginning of the new season will lessen the overprotective involvement of Jay, but I don't think it will diminish Jay's presence or participation in Living the Loe Life. Thanks for a very engaging chapter.

I have waited for a long time for this chapter. I just wish that Kadin and Jevikel were not so far apart. Because of Vikkel's stupidity , Pinnacle will not be a safe refuge for anyone. The writing was great. I was very impressed by the description of the Outer Hold from the POV of the young travelers. Jevikel's inner thoughts throughout the chapter were also inspired. Kadin and Jevikel's escape from the hold should be very soon. I do wonder if Girtal may reappear later in the story. He seems to have a curious mind and not afraid of dragons.

LOL! I just had to comment on the last part that Shell couldn't shift because she was pregnant, and then Curtis fainting. @Ms. V is right. Shell won't let Curtis forget. I suspect she won't be the only one to give Curtis a bad time. It might even become a pack legend. The fight was brilliantly written and had me fully engaged. Like Parker, I was a little sad for Ethan. I don't care if he was exactly like Colton said before, Ethan had lost every thing as a result of being gay in a homophobic pack. I am happy that Colton stood up to Forrest and let him know if Forrest lost pack members, it was because of the way Forrest ran his pack. Wonderful time reading this chapter.

First, I hope Trey gets the silver out of Jed fast! Colton's opportunity to kill the grey wolf comes faster than he expected. The big surprise is that Colton recognises the human, but not the wolf. To me that indicates the rogue is from Colton's past in the old pack. My guess would be the son of Colton's first pack with whom Colton got caught having sex. My second guess is that it is the father of the boy who is out for revenge. This is going to be one hell of a fight, especially if it is the father of the boy. That would make an alpha vs alpha fight. I want to see this.

I was happy that Shell and Curtis showed up for the party, and Curtis petitioned Colton to become members of the Timber Pack. The new couple will fit well into the pack. I was wary of Parker going home after the party and sex he had with Colton. Just a feeling. Barney is such a pile of s..t! How could he sell out his son and his client for a large sum of money. It is obvious that Parker did not get anything of value from his father, except DNA. Even that is suspect now. I do agree when Forrest View Wolf Pack finds out, Barney will not live long. Great chapter. Now we need to know if the grey wolf has any connection to the people hiring Barney to spy.
