  1. I was depressed, hyper, and freezing for several chapters after Trevor was rescued! Then I collapsed from exhaustion for a day. I honestly needed a break!
  2. Good morning Albert! Sawasdee Khrup. 🙏 It has been slow here, but I expect that Bucket, Clo and Texy may show up soon. How are you today?

    Chapter 12

Mary Ann's pregnancy has been devastating for John, Wylie and Johns family. I honestly don't think John's pending marriage will be good for anyone. I am a bit curious about Wylie's son who has not been mentioned before this. You can tell that both men still care a lot for each other even with the chasm that has developed between them. The story is proceeding as expected, even if I didn't think the results would be because of Wylie. I expected that John would be the instigator.

    Chapter 11

First and foremost, I know that writing a chapter like this is more difficult for an author to create than the reader to read. I am sure it was emotionally painful and draining. I agree that it doesn't fit Wylie's personality, but it does fit the story. Wylie has never been violent like this in thought or deed. However, it does create the perfect reason for their love to come to an end and lead to the things that are about to transpire. There is no beauty to the chapter, but I believe that was the intent of the author. I do have to say that entrapment by Mary Ann was also vile. It was a deliberate attempt to blackmail Wylie into a life he does not want to lead. I do believe that the chapter was well written and produced the expected reactions. Thanks for the blood, sweat and tears you shed to create this chapter.

    Chapter 10

This a beautiful love story and I expect it to continue. Of course there are always bumps in the road, and some can be gigantic. Wylie has a difficult time accepting the gifts, until John make him realise that the gifts are a measure of Wylie's acceptance as a family member. What a lovely Christmas present.
  6. Watch what you wish for Gary. Texy may decide to visit you when he tries to smuggle Ted Cruz into Canada.

    Chapter 9

Their Christmas was so homey and warm. I had a good laugh when they were decorating the tree. I honestly don't believe that we know all of the story yet. Your writing is compelling and keeps us focus on the true story. The other pieces are just the edge of the puzzle. Have you ever read the book Old Yeller? Knowing or suspecting what happened at the end of the book did nothing to lessen the impact of that story. I believe I know how this story may end, but that has not diminished how much I am enjoying the story. Great writing!
  8. Glad to see you survived the Raging 40's and Furious 50's! That was a very wicked ride for me when I read it.

    Chapter 8

These guys both know they are in love, and that the other love's them. Ego and uncertainty lead them to use the tried and true method for self deception, I was drunk. Followed by ignoring anything happened the next day. Looking forward to see what happens next. Almost forgot to mention. It's about time.

    Chapter 7

The characters in the story are really nice people I would love and appreciate as friends. I was captivated by Joe Don and his talk to Wylie. Growing up with people like these, John's childhood was surrounded by love. I did notice that you finally admitted that the story is about John and Wylie. Thanks.

    Chapter 6

This is a great chapter with both humour and acceptance. Mr. Grant is aware of their growing love for each other and accepts them both. Got a good laugh from the butt biting horse. However, I came to the realisation that I had been missing out on the true nature of the story. Chapter titles often set up expectations for the reader about the nature of the story. Getting through so many chapters and not seeing some of the things I expected to see, I began to realise my expectations were off. I reread the prologue and first chapter looking for clues and details I had so blithely passed by. I must admit that I am embarrassed and now see the whole story in a much different light. Great work Sojourn!

    Chapter 5

Wylie's first impressions of the ranch were true to character and caused him to become distressed. Mr. Grant and Conchatta's warm welcome put him at ease. I loved the way John introduced his Mamacita and their banter was refreshing and humorous. Mr. Grant's internal dialogue to John's suggestion to use one bedroom spoke a great deal about his personality with just a few sentences. John totally surprised me when in the midst of sex realises that he is in love with Wylie. I have to rethink about where this story is going. Great chapter.

    Chapter 4

The slowly building relationship is so realistic written. I am enjoying the slow burn as these two discover each other, and how to work around their differences. It also gives the reader insights into their future as friends. I also suspect that their future together as a couple will end when they advance to the point of acknowledging their sexuality. I suspect that John will still be in denial and do a runner on Wylie.

    Chapter 3

The boys are definitely dancing around the room with each other. I am glad that Wylie went ballistic on John and let John know how he is feeling. It got the two back on the course of friendship at least. They are drifting towards a real relationship without acknowledging that they are gay, and from chapter 1 this will be a problem in the foreseeable future. Very realistic dialogue and definitely smouldering plot.

    Synchronicity

There are plenty others to come, but Ali was the one I hated the most other than Bridget!

    The Lovers

I like the way @drpaladin thinks. Diversionary tactic for another crime??
  17. No yet. It is on my list, but got pushed back by some books I needed to read in order to catch up to be current. Aaron Stone's Shadow series to be exact.
  18. We're doing well. Kind of a lazy day so I had time to do some reading. How are you and your boys?
  19. That's the reason I read the stories. I needed a real lift in spirits and I know I could count on these stories.!

    Chapter 2

Wylie and John's past explains much about what happened in the first chapter. They have both grown older, but still remain very close friends who understand and care for each other. I reason that they could not develop deep relationship, because John would not accept his own sexuality. It also hints at what the problem is about Gordie, and Willie's understanding. I am glad that I started this story.

    Chapter 1

John is definitely a complex character. You have written his internal struggle with great intensity. I hope that Gordy's homecoming will help John overcome his pain and guilt. You have a compelling beginning that grips the readers' emotions. Great start!
  22. Hi Bucket! How are things in Oz?
  23. Hi Albert! Sawasdee Khrup! 🙏

    The auction

Jay's attempt to get ready for sex was extremely amusing. No sure what he did wrong, but not recovering for days is unusual. The dinner that night must have been stressing for him. I do wish that the groups was having more fun in Mexico, but the lack of communication with the outside world seems to be stressing for them. Seamus, Jay and Scott seem to be having the hardest time. The video of what happens to Loren undoes all the work that Loren spent trying to reassure Jay that rock climbing was safe. Now Jay is really upset. I hope he calms down and realises that Loren was saved by all the safety features he explained at length to Jay. It's kind of a roller coaster chapter. It is going to be hard to wait for the next chapter.

    The Lovers

Dan and Terry are definitely a great pair. They do have a lot in comment, especially their curiosity about the history of the cinema. I am enjoying the research Terry is conducting to learn more and was surprised that Colin seemed to be more cooperative and less antagonistic. The chapter flowed smoothly and made interesting reading.
