Not cheating. Totally cool.. My principal gives me the side eye every year. I always threaten something totally inappropriate. This year it’ll be a sweater with a Christmas tree that lights up. It says ‘Get Lit.’ I want to improve it by pinning baby socks to it and slipping in those mini alcohol bottles. 🤗 I still don’t get the Ugly sweater thing.. but oh well.

“Today looks like a great day for laundry!” Said no one willingly...ever! Yet, here I am, knee deep, and the girls are coming to decorate cookies. Sometimes, I think I’m asleep when I make these plans. Anyway, I’ll be bouncing in and out.

I’m not mad about the way this ended. At. All. Fated though he was, and not fully knowing everything, Noel made a choice. I’m glad Noël got to live his life with Kris; I feel like that was important, but it must have been hell watching him age giving what would eventually happen. But they were happy. I feel for Keith taking his life this way. Loyal to the end though.. I hope Diarmad has learnt a valuable lesson, watching his mate love someone else. Slap me over the head, but I still don’t know for sure who these folks were in the prologue, but:: Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end’? I hope this signals a new beginning for Diarmad and Noël. I look forward to the epilogue.

These are the kind of students we hope to cultivate. Those who are passionate about the things and life around them. Who will speak out on their beliefs. Encourage conversation and action amongst their peers. We can’t always believe in the same things but we should be willing to listen and accept that we adults, elected officials or whoever, don’t always have the answers and we aren’t always right! Teachers like Tidwell, are a problem, and there are a few. You can’t wilfully punish a student because your beliefs don’t align. How much easier would it be if she had simply corrected his language, encouraged his activism. Students need to be heard too. I love that you don’t shy away from the issues. Great read, Carlos. Well done.

I was worried about Daniel would handle physical intimacy with someone he cares about.. I am assuming he may need professional help, but It will be interesting to see how he crosses that line to having sex with Michael. That aside, it was nice to see him breathe easy and relax as much as he could, into this newness with Michael. Michael is so kind and patient.. just what D needs.
