I am a very lucky boy - we had flooding across the city and some folks are still without power. I missed out on both mishaps

Rain is good (when I’m not driving in it) but a solid week of cold wet weather is more than I’m used to. Weather patterns have changed over the last couple of years. We are used to 3 days bad 3 days mild and the mild days are disappearing. The same is true for summer - 3 hot days 3 mild days. Maybe I’m just getting soft in my old age but I had planned on being outdoors this week and now that’s off the table. Just making grumpy old man noises…

you need to protect yourself especially with the heatwaves forecast for the next couple of weeks. Plenty of sunscreen even if you are only planning for short periods in the sun
