    Chapter 1

Damn! What a great start to a new story! Great plot, interesting characters already, gripping story line--can't wait for the next chapter! Fine writing here!

Glad ya liked it, Gary! I've been impressed with Barry from the start--he's not afraid to just dive in and attack any subject out there. And, think is honesty also affected his boys' responses. Had he even partially lied, they'd have picked up on it...and it'd have hurt there relationship. (Plus, if he lied, what would that have done to his and Dave's relationship (such as it is)? Glad you're enjoying the story..and thanks for the comments!

Definately a hot chapter! And yet, despite the interruptions by Rob or Jasper, the character development goes forward, and lots of potential story options are there. Fine writing here!

Yup, the Dallas guy was a close encounter--but with all the media attention on the case, understandable that he'd be recognized. He's definately gonna hafta take care! And the story with his sons....well, yes, it's gonna be interesting to see how that plays out whether with or without Dave. Thanks for the comments! Appreciate your following the story!

Thanks for the kind words!Yup, the storyline is speeding up--after all, landfall (and the storm's strength) is increasing! For me, the most appealing thing is Cory's reaction: "I don't understand, but want you happy". I don't know that anyone could hope for a better response to such a sudden development! Keep reading...more ahead. Thanks for the review!

Memorial Day Monday. Gonna be a busy day. Dave reviewed the plans for the day over breakfast by the pool. We'll check out of the B&B at 3, head to the local airport, fly back to Dallas, get into lodging there, and prepare to stay the estimated month or so for the trial. Dave also reminded Greg, Jonathan, and me to be on full alert for anything off-kilter during the day or as we travel. Think the incident yesterday of the guy wanting to do a Facebook selfie with me is making everyone just a

    The beginning

Robert Rex commented on LieLocks's story chapter in The beginning

Lots of options here for plot twists and turns....your characters are complex and interesting. And the background story, when filled in, is gonna be great! Looking forward to the next chapter. You did well here!

Love this chapter, especially since it struck a personal chord with me--my 2nd lover was a psychologist, and we had the same "don't analyze me!" discussion when we first got together! Totally rings true! Can't wait for the GSA meeting! Good job!

There's more steam ahead! But there's also love and romance, too. Thanks for the comments.

    Chapter 1

Robert Rex commented on Robert Rex's story chapter in Chapter 1

Glad you're enjoying the story! I wrote "Joe" starting in May, 2014, finished it in July, 2014. Took a couple of months off, and then started "Landfall" in maybe October, 2014. Glad the writing has improved--think that's because of the great folks here who reviewd, and commented on "Joe" and it's pacing. The other difference is in the stories themselves: Joe is a primal story of guys who, at least initially, explore themselves and their relationship via sex; "Landfall" is a far more nuanced story. Thanks for the great review! Thanks for the kind words

So very glad you're reading (and apparently, enjoying!) the story! Loving your comments.Dave and Barry are interesting characters. And must admit that I'm impressed by Dave and his willingness to be totally pro and leave his personal feelings aside as much as possible. Will there be a relationship? Can't be sure at this point--there's just too much up in the air! Thanks for the kind words--and hang in there....a new chapter will be out this week. And be aware, you haven't seen the storm's full strength yet--Landfall is coming! I appreciate your reviews!

Glad it got to ya, Cole! I'm hoping the sense of surprise and wonder that Barry had--and the emotions he experienced--came through. Even those he's certainly experienced, this is still somewhat unexplored territory.Get some ice water, keep reading--confident that there's more ahead as the relationship grows! Thanks for the kind review!

Charlie, you've got an inquiring mind--and that's great! Yeah, I selected that name, and so far, you're the only one that's commented on it.Glad you're enjoying the story--my goal is to tell a believable--and interesting--story that rings true. Thanks for the review!

No tease here--I'm just reporting the developments as they occur! Besides, you're loving it! Thanks for the review!
  23. Robert Rex
Me? A tease? Nah......just sometimes the mating dance can be a little longer for some more than others! Glad ya liked the music. It's definitely a part of the story line, giving clues to the emotions at play on the dance floor. Thanks for the review!
  24. Robert Rex
Or maybe it's a combination of factors....with Mom gone, Dad is all they've got left to hang on to.....and despite the fact they're away at college, they're still his boys. Emotionally they may not be able to let go of him.Hang on...there's more coming, and it may clarity some issues for you! Thanks for the review!
  25. Robert Rex
The bond between our two heroes keeps growing...and that's a good thing! Terrifyingly realistic chapter--damn fine writing!
