    Chapter 27

I really like the way the relationship between Jamie and Eli is developing. But Eli is starting to seem a little bit like a prude, or even worse a tease. No wonder Jamie is so torqued up! But it's very cool that Jamie's father is coping so well with the boys new relationship! I wish every father loved his child enough to be that understanding ...

    Chapter 19

Great chapter! I guess sometimes you have to risk getting into a bit of trouble in order to do the right thing. I think the football player should have been suspended too.
  3. I really love the characters in this story; the way they support each other and interact with their environment. What an amazing bar! I wish we had one like it around here! Great writing -- I look forward to every new chapter, and I will really hate to see this story end.

    Chapter 16

I personally love the idea of a chapter told from Eli's perspective.

    Chapter 17

I have to admit; this is the most callus "first-person" narrative I've read since someone gave me the book "The Ice man!" And although it's sort of unsettling for me to personally admit, I can actually understand Jamie's cold-hearted objectivity and drive to be the best at any cost. I really hope his better half, and basic humanity will prevail in the end.

    Chapter 15

I almost forgot how much being a teen can be like driving in a frenzied race -- heart beating like crazy; just barely in control; and never really knowing exactly what's going to happen next! With every split-second-decision poses unforeseen consequences around every turn -- to yourself and to others -- both terrifying and exhilarating at the same time. I really loved my teen years, even though they definitely weren't as exciting as Jamie's. For all its intensity, I'm not sure I would ever want to repeat my adolescents. Once was enough and I'm happy I survived, hahaha! I hope Jamie is as lucky!

    Chapter 12

Jamie is definitely facing the classic "success dilemma" success at what price? Seems like a defining moment in his character development. Even though he's making reckless choices, I still get the feeling that he'll find his better side over time, and eventually and take the higher road in his life.

    Chapter 5

The plot thickens -- and I really like the direction the story is taking. -- Maxx

    Chapter 2

This story keeps getting better! I love the way the characters relate to each other, and you're doing a really nice job of making them more three dimensional. I can relate personally with Jamie, partly because I lost my own mother to cancer last year. But also because I kept my own bisexuality a secret at his age, and I was often afraid that someone's gaydar are would out me. Nobody ever did though! There's a lot of terrific plot-possibilities here. What a great start! Thanks for posting.

WOW! Great first chapter -- and a really great story setup! I like your characters, and especially the setting. Can't wait to see what happens next! Thanks for posting this.

    Chapter 36

I've actually had weird dreams like the one you described so eerily in this chapter! The use of a party-house with windows but no doors is an inspired device! I could feel Billy's pain as he watched Brandon effortlessly enjoying life without him! I think the spiraling pain of sensing that someone you love is slipping away must be primal! It's definitely universal -- and the experience was sensitively portrayed! It actually chafed a few tender spots of my own! Billy is certainly paying a steep emotional price for his infidelity. Reality is a sometimes cruel, but always forceful teacher -- and I continue to hope that, having learned some important life-lessons, both Billy and Brandon can find a way to rekindled the passions and intimate trust they once shared. I've often wondered if I could forgive cheating -- hope I never have to find out!
  15. Happy 21st Birthday William!

    Winter Barren

Doesn't seem like smut at all -- it's beautifully expressed. Stop ironing out wrinkles Ashi, it's wonderful just the way it is. You should write more!
  17. That's a cute kid -- I hope someone is looking out for him before he ends up swimming with sharks!

    Chapter 35

The angst continues: What's going on with Brandon? If Billy and Brandon ever reunite, it will be the longest awaited reunion in modern literature, haha! I hate to say it, but Brandon is starting to move into the dreaded red-zone of high maintenance! Dizzy continues to get more interesting and three-dimensional, and Garrett is also blossoming into a character worthy of affection. But Trace is still one of my all-time favorites! He reminds me of one of my drinking buddies: A guy that always seems to get me into trouble when I least expect it, but most need it! Every one of us should be lucky enough to have at least one friend who shakes things up when life gets slow. Even though sometimes we wish we could live without them -- how dull that would be! Thanks for posting Comsie -- the storyline continues to track nicely.
  23. Look forward to meeting you too. Many fascinating minds on this site. I hope you find everyone as interesting as I do.
