The most disturbing aspect is Orinovo has seemed to have discovered a way to give their people powers, even multiple ones. This would radically change the balance of power. Though for some unknown reason they have limited who has powers.

It seems stupid for them ro wait until Orinovo attacked when they could have preempted the battle and saved a lot of lives. Fenn was lucky to save Petre and stop Yarima from stealing Ain's powers.
