  1. Something evil has happened. Let the Music Play has disappeared. Try clicking on the link at http://cjames.gayauthors.org and see what you get. No chapters. Maybe they fell off a cliff.
  2. 8...spelled "Ate". I think the number you are looking for is 1,000 (one thousand).
  3. I didn't think about that while reading the chapter, but on rereading I understand your point... De la Plane seems ill-informed on much of the magic world. I think he learned more from Worthington than Worthington learned from him. I can see Worthington and the government joining forces to fight the demons. The government would do well to take orders from Worthington. Perhaps the government's vow of silence about the existence of magic will be his compensation.
  4. I think he's actually a roofer or in some other construction trade...reportedly in the Denver area. He used to release chapters more frequently in the winter months when his "day job" slacked off. Sadly, I think we may have lost Dom. He was so consistent and dependable in his writing. Something more important and/or time-consuming has taken him away.
  5. He has already gotten his shots in at CJ. Do you remember the name of the bagelry where Cody works?
  6. Drewbie, our paths have crossed in a manner of speaking. I have been reading Let the Music Play by C James and, when I finished the latest chapter, I was so intrigued by the character Cody that I had to read all five chapters released of Dreams and Clipped Wings. It is a great story which I will be following from now on. I think you will enjoy LTMP; it's totally different from this story. I assure you Eric is a cool guy. I believe he really is straight but he does get bent a little by tequila. I am impressed that Shadowgod and C James collaborated on their stories and that much of the dialog and action in their current respective chapters meshes so well. Shadowgod's earlier chapters also lead flawlessly to chapter 5 in revealing Cody's infatuation with Eric. Happy reading!
  7. Another excellent chapter, CJ. The appearance of a character from another author's story was a neat turn. I see Jerry/Scar's scheme gradually unraveling; he keeps making small mistakes and Eric hears about it, adding new pieces to the puzzle. I think Lump will add a few pieces when he and Eric next cross paths.
  8. Hooray! :2thumbs: Go, Dechaun! Dan, I notice you spell it "Gray" in the story (American spelling), but spell it "Grey" here in the Forum (British spelling). Is there a reason? Also, if the Gray/Grey Path is a creation of the mages themselves and other mages have a choice of which path they will follow, isn't it also possible that other mages will create their own paths? Shades of Gray/Grey at least if not other colors altogether?
  9. Amen on both points. We know you have been working hard and it has paid off. We look forward to the next chapter.
  10. I think you are right, Conner. Or is there such a thing as a closeted mage? Can adepts like Worthington and Jamie always spot a mage? Even if the mage (Dechaun) doesn't know himself?
  11. Baloney! You are no slackard, Dan. This was an exciting and very interesting chapter. It appears help is on the way. That line made my day. Colin needs a channel? I'm thinking Dechaun. Anyone agree? Now everyone is calling Worthington "boss man". Reason for edit: Removed spoiler tags; I got carried away.
  12. Chapter 12 of Rich Boy:Growing Pains has been posted. Have a great weekend!
  13. Hey, it's a three-way tie at this point...only 3 votes cast. I voted for The Petting Zoo. CJ's Petting Zoo was a strong second in my mind, but goats aren't the only animals that like to be petted. Another possibility is The Butting Place...where we all butt heads with one another and with the goat himself.
  14. Or, what would he do if his call went to voice mail?
  15. Another great chapter, Dan. Thanks. Here's the link. It is interesting to learn what the government is up to and to see Worthington and Jamie begin to understand what will be involved in being mages in the Gray Path. They also share their hopes for their future life.
  16. Oops! How embarrassing! It seems I glanced at your member number.
  17. I think you are next to hit 6,000. Congrats!
  18. Dechaun's language is peculiar. I mean, anyone can use a fecal expletive but does a preteen black dude ever address a white teen as "boss man"? Is that politically correct?
  19. And a few questions. What have they learned from the captured mercenary that prompted Dechaun's expletive? Great chapter, Dan.
  20. Scar gets his money for his nefarious scheme from two sources: (1) the fortune he amassed from his arms deals and (2) contributions to his "charity" including those from Instinct and their manager. I don't think we've seen any behavior on Helen's part indicating she is in cahoots with Scar.
  21. We're in agreement, I think. Anyone would rather manage The Rolling Stones than Milli Vanilli. And The Rolling Stones' manager(s) have had to put up with a lot from the band.
  22. A good manager will care quite a lot about his/her clients' financial welfare. Smart entertainers will have a professional investment manager handle their money rather than their performance manager and the manager should be totally in favor of that. It wouldn't reflect well on a manager whose clients are "established" performers (i.e. no longer very popular) and broke at age thirty.
