Hey everybody ! Jean-Baptiste Maunier is born 22th december 1990. He will be 16 next month. He is now a french movie star and played in 5 or 6 movies since 2004, when he was discovered in "Les Choristes" (Chorus). I you are interested look his site :Jean-Baptiste. You find also on Youtube more of his songs. Unfortunately, he doesn't sing no more (he is to busy to make money hehehehe !) Old Bob

Hey everyboy who is concerned I had and have a happy life. It seems that I'm a lucky man ! When I got married, long time ago (my first son was on the way), I wasn't sure about myself. Today I know I'm bi, and my wife knows it also ! We are strongly bonded, but I have my freedom and it doesn't matter her if I meet my gay friends (also sexualy !) Love and freedom can exist together. We made both our experiences, went together through a lot of fights and were alway open to each other. Age helps a lot, provided that you sincere and convinced that love to each other (with or without sex) is the most important feeling which remains nevertheless. All these who have to get married should keep their hope to a freedly and happy life. It's what I wish them. Old Bob

Hey CJames and Formosa, Thanks to have given me the opportunity to check the Onion and to discover the FSM. On one side the stupidity of some homophobe christians, on the other jokes and fun. But the best jokes are the translation of the venganza in french, I had a fit of laughter Old Bob

Hey everybody. It's now 6 months that I have the pleasure to read the stories and participate at the blogs, the forum and, not to forget, the live chat. I just want to add my thanks to Myr, Joey, Kitty and to all members of the five key teams. Your work is fantastic and unique. I used the web from the beginning in the 90's, for my professional work and for fun, but I never found another site as GA. IMO the founders of GA made a huge work in strengthening the gay communitty, sustaining the youngers of us and in the same time giving the opportunity to almost 3'000 people to be together. My only regret is that no such site exist in french speaking areas . My hope is that GA will grow and continue to bring fun (and help) to a lot of us. Old bob

Hey James "Shivers possess me, the subtle harbingers of foreboding and fear."..... We are Joel, we are in the forest, we live in the night... Well done, and what I like is the picture of the forest, so you can "immerse" in it. Im just sorry that you waited so long before beginning to write your stories Old bob

I suppose you are right . Its funny to see the differences between the writer with so good stories and the soon being voter with his passionate opinion. I would like to meet him and to ask him why he is so peremptory in his comments. If perhaps he reads this, we could talk in the chat ? BTW, I have nothing against people who change their mind . Its always a sign of sincerity and some times of cleverness. I did it often, and may be I will concerning Nickolas. Cheerily, Old Bob

Hey DK, nice try to bring Nick to rational thinking ! IMO it is vain. But I hope that they are a lot of other people, who have the right to vote, who read your blogs and comments, and who can use them to strengthen their opinions. Good work Dan ! Old bob

Hey, I dont want to give my country (Switzerland) as an example, but the facts are the facts. We have in our 2 parliaments about 300 senators and deputies (for a population of 7 millions inhabitants), elected all 4 years. They are all part-time politicians (max 50 % of their time) , have a professional situation (lawyers, engineers, teachers, workmen, peasants.. aso) have just their travel and administrative costs paid. Its an Honour to be elected and not a profit. In the last 10 years, if 2 % of them made an personal and financial advantage from their election, it would be a max. And these 2 % ended in jail. Why what is possible in Switzerland couldnt exist in the States ? Farewell, citizen of the strongest Country of the world. Old Bob

Wow... I like it when your engagement strengthen your words. You are a man I my country, each citizen, when he is healthy enough, is proud to serve, as I was. I hope to meet you again on GA (chat or blog) in a few years, when you will come back from the Army. Farewell Old bob

Hey Nick I went once again through all the comments. I find the best is from Michael : "In fact you have a talent for making people's blood boil, and that's why we all love you so much. Hey Nick, why don't you write a poem about the 9/11 attack? I know it's going to be a very painful and powerful poem, and it will certainly make people's blood boil." You are an ardent young man, but you should keep your temper. because the "truths" you bring so passionate are not always verified. If you had still in the US a compulsory military service, as it was years ago, I would propose you to experiment yourself fighting against all the ennemies of your country, as your fathers did in Korea and Viet-Nam, so you would really learn what you are only talking about. No one should talk about war as you do, who wasnt himself in a field of battle (did you see the movie "Apocalypse now ?). I was a soldier, than an officer, and I was lucky to live in a country which wasnt in a war since 1847, but I saw and followed the battles at our borders. I have my opinion about the position of your government in Irak, but I keep it for myself ! But Im happy that so many people try to explain you that you should compare your "hot" feelings with the daily living of your soldiers on the front and have a better notion of the principles of the american democracy and of the convent of Geneva (International Red Cross) farewell Old Bob

Hey everybody :2hands: Interesting to see how the discussion becomes "passionate". IMO you forget both an obviousness : politicians are only men, and sometimes weak men. As in every community you find the same percentage of crooks and venals. For instance, in France, both sides (left and right) used their power to fill their pockets, the President Mitterand had an open "love affair", same things as "Watergate" happened several times on left and right sides, but the people appreciated the way the government leaded the nation and didnt care the private morality of those who governed. Even in the States, on one side Nixon with his records was obliged to resign, on the other side his decisions with China were a plus for US. US is a very big nation, but even so big as you are, you cannt rule the world alone ! UN has only one advantage : its exists ! You should support it, strengthen it . See what happened with the SDN : its weakness couldnt prevent WW2. Think of it Old Bob

hey everybody I just heard today the speech Bush about a national meeting to resolve this plague. Is it the right way ? can we correct irrational behaviors with "political mesures ? I doubt ..... Old Bob

I hope you will have an opportunity to visit others places of the d

No ! It wasnt terrorism, It was just a man who lost a procedure against the governement, ran "amok" and came in the parliament during a general meeting wtih his rifle and shot the members and finaly itself . But the most important is now the discussions about the weapons at home. Instead of keeping rifle and ammunitions at home after the military periods, wouldnt it be better to keep the weapons in the arsenals ? The discussion began when an officer shot his wife with his military gun. If I remember, you have the same problem in US about the weapons-control. I know its an hot problem for you ! Old bob
-
Hey We had the same problem here but with adults. 3 years ago, I man came to the parliament of one of our middle cities and shot 14 members because his was angry about their political orientation. Our problem is that all citizen have their military weapons home with amunitions. The trend now is to forbid to take one's rifle and gun home. How can children have their own guns ? Old bob

Appeal: forced deportation, and separation of gay couple
old bob replied to Formosa's topic in The Lounge
Hey David, I tried, but could mail it anything was wrong will try again later Old bob -
Hey Why should I get the last word ? Because my age ? Because I made successively my live experiences as gay, than straight, then bi ? Because I have 2 straight sons, 1 gay and had a daughter bi ? Because I never hid my sexuality ? Because I saw around me "gayness" be filled as a "sin", than as a "lust", than a "mood" and now as a "politiical identity" ? My last word : Im happy to have friends, if by chance they are gay and we like each other , thats OK for me. I lost since years and years the need to ask the question to be or not to be (gay). If thats what you mean with "my last word", you have it Old Bob

Hey Nick sometimes we haven't same opinions but that doesnt mean hate I have the great respect to people who are ready to fight for their opinions. I like to read your blogs and your stories even if I dont share your "political" philosophy. Life is dialogue and GA is the best place I know for that Go on, stay on your opinion but try also to understand the positions of others. Life and experience will show you that sharing is the best we can Farewell Old bob
