That woman is a piece of work. She's a narcissist and a manipulator. Unfortunately I know someone like her - a guy - and often they seem to get away with their selfish and thoughtless behaviour for years before karma catches up with some. The real blow for these types of people is aging. Once they lose the looks they rely on so heavily they are left with barren personalities that they have never nurtured. It was good to see Michael and Kendall working together and using Candy's manipulations against her. They make a great team and they will make even better dads. Paying the money does rub me the wrong way but if it gives them the baby and also gets Candy out of their lives then it would be worth it.

Tough situation. Greg didn't mean to be insensitive but he obviously was. He's going to have some ground to make up with Denny - who doesn't seem to trust easily. Greg is a good kid so if necessary maybe Jay and Mikey will have to remind Denny of that. The alone time with Jay and Mikey was hot and sweet. I like that they want to please each other more than they want to gratify themselves. That can sometimes be a hard thing for teenagers to remember in the thrall of their hormones.

You are a master of words. I agree with the others - you should sit down with someone who can write music to put a melody to your work.

Janine seems like a good person who finally had enough of someone she thought was her friend. Michael and Kendall are lucky to have made contact with her. I think she may have given them the ammunition they need to win this fight. The teasing before and after going to see Janine was good for Michael. He was getting pretty tense and Kendall knew he needed to let off some steam. That kind of awareness is good to have in a partner.

Excellent chapter Tim. Hot water, soapy hands and athletic bodies can't be anything but good You didn't disappoint. I agree that Jasper seems to be terminally straight but Rob appears to be ok with at least keeping his options open. Jasper does seem uncomfortable with the thought of a guy openly flirting with him - but that could be more to do with not knowing what to say than actual discomfort.

With the pressure to always have the best, the newest - sometimes that translates to relationships and can make the people in them start to feel insecure as they age and THEY feel like they have lost what made them attractive to the other person in the first place.

All I could think of when I read these lyrics was "You don't know what you got till it's gone". Momentary lapses in judgement can be pretty costly. I have a feeling that even if he wasn't caught this man would have confessed. That guilt he was carrying would have buried him otherwise.

It is tough being a gay teen in a small town. You don't know who else is gay - and you don't know how to navigate the hints and body language that some older gay men have mastered. Add in teenage hormones and some insecurity - and it is amazing that any of us found found each other. In that time period it would have been especially tough because the consequences of being discovered could have been greater than they are now. It was interesting to look through the eyes of both Denny and Greg as they danced around each other - looking for signs without giving too much of themselves away. It brought back memories of covertly checking out other guys - while trying not to be discovered - hoping that one of them might be interested too. I'm happy that these young men managed to get past their insecurities and concerns and opened up to each other. They seem like they are going to be a good match. Great chapter CG.

Looks like Lanny is not the grunting Neanderthal we thought he was. I think we all know guys like Lanny - all bluster and posturing - but are some of the most insecure people you could meet. He had the misfortune of falling for someone who is the poster girl for the Northern Pikes' - "She ain't pretty she just looks that way". Hope he makes the most of his luck that Michael and Kendall have forgiven him and didn't have him arrested. I was lucky - my son's mother gave me full custody without any fuss - but Michael and Kendall are going to have a battle ahead of them. Candy wanting to give the baby up for adoption should help their cause.

That kind of loss would be devastating. I could see that pain making each parent retreat into themselves - leaving the relationship abandoned. Well written tale of a crushing loss.

Since I didn't come out as a teenager and any sexual encounter with other guys at that age was covert and rushed I don't have experience with taking things slow - but I appreciate Nelson's desire to savor every moment with his boyfriend. They really made great use of their hour together. Very hot Good thing Rob or Jasper didn't barge in on them through the bathroom or I think at this point the sexual frustration might have caused Eric to snap

It's not always easy to do the right thing but Kendall and Michael are great men and are doing a good thing by helping Lanny. Lanny had to get drunk to do it - but he also did the right thing by making sure that Michael knew about the baby. Candy may not be able to keep Michael from seeing the baby - but I know from friends' experiences that she can make it really difficult for him. The hatred she has for Michael now that he has come out as gay is concerning. She could really do some damage by constantly bad mouthing Michael and his lifestyle. Janine sounds like she could be helpful. She obviously doesn't agree with Candy's behavior and may help Michael for the baby and Lanny's sakes. It's good that Kendall is excited about the baby. Michael is going to need a lot of support if he's going to fight for access - or maybe even custody.

Great chapter. I chuckled about how Jay pretended to be more injured than he was presumably to lean more heavily on Mikey. Denny was right - he's going to need a raise with all of time he is going to have to spend on keeping those two from outing themselves. They were also funny trying to get across to Greg about their relationship status without actually saying anything outright. The use of their "telephone" names was very stealthy The story of Greg and Benny's history was enlightening. Benny seems like a genuinely good guy. How many teen boys would seek out their "F*#@%" buddy to apologize for not having more time for them or break up with a girl before he hurts her just so they can remain friends? That tells me that Benny valued the friendship as much - if not more - than having someone to get off with. Hopefully he and Cal will find a way to get past their own hangups and get together. Greg deserves someone too - maybe that will be Denny? They both seem interested in at least seeing if there is an attraction there.

Wow that was unexpected It started with smiles and laughter, we had our long awaited prank and dinner with Chet and Arron (good job with that by the way ) and ended with a shock - but I am impressed. I didn't see that coming!

I think is is great that Rob and Jasper want to join the GSA as a show of support for Eric and Nelson, but at the same time I think that Nelson and Eric are getting a little overwhelmed with the "out, proud and in your face" vibe that Rob seems to want them to project. I get being proud of yourself and not hiding, but both Eric and Nelson seem far more introverted than either Rob or Jasper so I can see any attention - good or bad - making them uncomfortable after a while. I think they MAY have made Rob realize that, but we will see once they get to the coffee shop and school. And Rob is absolutely right - remember to lock the door Eric!

Kendall is a matchmaker at heart - but I think he only wants everyone to be as happy as he is with Michael. I'm not surprised that the Acetos would want to help the guys buy a house. They seem like generous people - emotionally and financially. I like that these two worry about each other. You can't help but worry about someone you care about. It's nice to see Kendall trying to get back to a normal life. They've had a lot going on lately so normal would be good. Looking forward to the dinner with Chet and Arron and to see if Kendall comes up with someone to set Jere up with.

So it seems that Linda's plan is going very well. It's funny how stories can get twisted and changed into something completely different than what actually happened - especially in high school. Sometimes that can be bad and sometimes - like here - it might actually help. Denny, Jay and Mikey seem to be benefiting from the new found popularity. The upshot of that is that everyone is also watching Timmy Zane so there is less of an opportunity for him to retaliate. I think the two perspectives worked in this chapter. Jay's insights into his sister make her more likeable and adds depth to her personality. She may not be sweet and loveable but she is loyal and fierce and loving. Greg's perspective was good to get some insight into the school and students. He seems to know from personal experience that Benny is not straight. I think he and Denny make great additions to Mikey's growing circle of friends.

It's funny how a scent can trigger a memory or an emotional response in people. It was interesting to see how Russel perceived that past conversation with Jacob - now that he is able to look back and know Jacob was in love with him at the time. I think the memory shed more light on Russel's insecurities but it also showed Russel that Jacob wanted to elevate his feelings of self worth. The love making was hot and sweet. I chuckled about the "hands free" conversation. Only Russ could manage to have hot sex with his hot fiancé and still seem so untouched. The twin bond was sweet to see. I think Evan missed Russ more than Russ could ever believe.

Great to catch up with Arron and Chet again. As always you are the master of the love scene. It was hot and intense. Chet's playfulness reminds me a lot of Michael without the same level of cockiness (not meant as an insult to Michael). I think it's that playfulness that allows Arron to relax and enjoy himself. It didn't take long for Arron to convince Chet to move in, but I don't think Chet was fighting it very hard

Well that wasn't just a cliffhanger - you have us dangling over the Grand Canyon I hope Adriano's wife and kids are ok. There have been some bad accidents up my way involving kids in recent years and it can be devastating for everyone involved. With Tommy shot and probably having a concussion - he's going to be one grumpy bear when he hears what happened to CJ. That vice cop is going to have not only Tommy and his partner - but a pissed off marine dad on their asses.

I'm with CG - I'm all for a Team Jasper He is another young man who is an example of the type of "straight man" we need more of in this world. My favourite line was "The condition of being ignorant and indoctrinated; the cures are called science and education". I read the chapter to my son and he said he was going to remember that line for the next time he comes across any "haters" (his words)

Really enjoyed this trip inside Rob's head. His actions have always shown him to be a great older brother - and now the inner monologue gives more insight into his motives. I knew he approached Nelson in the first chapter as a way to get his brother talking to him - but it was interesting to find out that he realized very early on that Eric was attracted to Nelson. I'm not sure that Nelson would appreciate being compared to a puppy - but the big heart and good intentions are endearing Rob is a good, kind young man and it is refreshing to see a straight man who is so comfortable with themselves that they are able to appreciate that other men can be sexy - even if they are not for him.

Another excellent chapter. Internet is acting up so I won't risk a long review. Just wanted to say that I like that Michael doesn't let things fester in their relationship. If he senses there is something on Kendall's mind or bothering him he wants to talk about it and get it out in the open. It's always good to be open and honest with your partner and these two are learning that with each other. I am with everyone else - looking forward to the dinner night. That is going to be a fun evening for Arron and Chet

Exciting chapter. The sequel should be interesting as the army try to work with the Furballs. I wasn't surprised that Jim was willing to sacrifice himself for Kyle. He strikes me as an honourable and brave man. It was good to see that some of the military personnel had minds of their own and didn't want to fire on Jim and Kyle. Bring on the sequel.

Like the other reviewers I like that you showed us the private thoughts of each groom. It was good to see them reflecting back on their lives before and after they met. CJ was a great best man - and those shirts are awesome. I might have to get one myself. Doc is having some fun being single - but the wedding must have been a little tough for him. Good thing he has a hot cop to help him out
