Michael is finally almost healed. He'll be very happy about that. I think he wants to do more with Kendall but Kendall wouldn't put his knee at risk for any reason. Michael handled his first taste of homophobia that was directed at him very well. He's also fortunate that he is a big guy and would be really hard to intimidate - especially if this is the work of teenagers. These two are really good at keeping a positive attitude - even in the face of bigotry. A very good quality to have.

Well that's awfully good of you to be giving presents out on your birthday CJ is really making a good impression if he's been asked to come back next year already. Good for him - might be too soon to tie himself to a job commitment for next summer though. A lot could change in that time. The other intern was a good mild reminder for CJ that not everyone is going to like or accept him or his dads. Nice touch with the presents for Brett. I'm impressed they all stuck with a theme. Most of my buddies can't agree where to take a birthday boy out for dinner - much less agreeing on presents

I really like that you wrote this chapter from Denny's point of view I think Denny needs Mikey and the Beckels. I hate to think what could have happened to him if he started to be bullied in his new school and didn't have friends. Denny's perspective of the family really highlights how good these people really are. Linda is a great girl. She has impressed me again. Her acknowledgment of Mikey as her bror would have meant the world to Jay. I agree with Lit - Jay and Mikey are never going to be able to keep their feelings for each other a secret unless they are very careful.

Excellent chapter Albert. I realized I read - but forgot to review - a couple of chapters. Sorry about that. So Echo seems to be an ancient computer of sorts. Left to protect the planet and the Furballs. Makes you wonder why the beings who created Echo left. Looking forward to the next chapter so we can have a few more questions answered and hopefully see the retreat of the government.

Wow I can't believe I'm all caught up. I really enjoyed the talk between the twins. Russ is so innocent and naive that it is good that he has Evan to give him some guidance. The talk about preparation, the importance of being playful (maybe versatile) and waiting to find out what turns you on before adding anything else into the mix was smart advice and something I could see two close siblings discussing. I laughed but really liked the practicality of a "beginners pack"'. For someone who acts so "flighty" Evan really is a smart young man. The club scene was great. It was good to see Russell out there and enjoying himself. He noticed being hit on by other men and - although he wasn't interested - didn't automatically put himself down or think the attention was for Evan and not him as well. It was subtle, but it is progress. And then to have Russ actually teasing Jacob in bed at the end of the night? I think Jacob may have unleashed a monster

Those two boys are such teases Like some of the other reviewers I'm not really surprised that Russ and Evan are with similar men. Both Jacob and Chris are good, loving and so protective - likely with good reason. I don't trust the father either. I am happy that it looks like Evan is getting engaged as well - although do understand Chris's desire to wait. When Evan asked him he had just been kicked out of his parents' home and was vulnerable. Chris would want to be sure it wasn't gratitude or not wanting to be alone that spurred on the proposal. It is very like Russ to be happy to have Evan be engaged at the same time so he can hide behind him at the party. I appreciate Evan not wanting to steal his brother's thunder. It will be good for Russ to get attention in his own right - even with Evan in the room.

A hot and sweet start to the chapter. I love how playful they are together - even when they are making love. And yes - Michael is a horn dog I can understand Kendall's (anxiety)? A lot has changed for him in such a short period of time. He finally has the man he never thought would love him like he needed. He has a mother he thought abandoned him to his father's tyranny. He has a father who wants to make amends for being such a bastard to him and wants to be his dad. Now he is going to have a home with the love of his life. Who wouldn't wonder when the other shoe was going to drop? Michael was again a great listener and was able to calm Kendall's fears without downplaying them. He needs time to get used to this new reality. He just needed some reassurance from the man he loves that taking that time was ok.

Russell's father is a manipulative ass. Like all master manipulators he knows exactly what to say to get people - in this case Russell - do what he wants them to do. Luckily this time Russell has Jacob's strength and love to bolster him and give him the strength to stand up for himself and his love for Jacob. I know the dad left but I don't doubt that he will be back. People like him don't give up that easily. The reunion between the twins was sweet and funny. It made me smile thinking of the indulgent and slightly terrified looks on the faces of Jacob and Chris. I don't think they realized just how much of a handful their boyfriends we're going to be until that moment

Jacob's parents are great and supportive people. I think the two moms are going to have fun planning thr engagement party - and they maybe even remember that their sons want a quiet and informal affair I almost look forward to seeing Isa and Benedicte let loose on Russell's dad. Mama bears can be pretty scary when they think you are a threat to their cubs The moment that Russell realized that he loved Jacob even more than Evan was a beautiful and life changing moment. Russell has always seemed to feel he was just an extension of Evan - Evans twin - tagging along in Evan's life. Loving Jacob - and Jacob loving him - is for Russell, not his twin. Now he may have some wonderful experiences - like getting married and traveling the world - that are also for him and not because he was tagging along in someone else's life.

Jacob is again showing his protective and caring nature in this chapter. He is very aware of how close the twins are and has expressed more than once that he would happily move wherever Russell wanted to live. I was saddened by Russell's surprise that his sister would have been worried about him. How long has his self-deprecation been going on? Before this trip it seems the only person he thought cared about him was Evan. The shopping trip was fun. Jacob does like to take Russell out of his comfort zone in order to build up his confidence. It does seem to be working but he sti has quite a long way to go. The comment about the expensive rings getting him laid made me laugh. When that boy finally got a clue it seemed to have thrown his sex drive into high gear!

Russell has grown to be very good at diverting attention from uncomfortable topics. Luckily Jacob has also become very good at noticing and calling him on it most of the time. Russell seems curious - but very nervous - about BDSM. As I said in my previous review, I think he has submissive tenancies, but that doesn't make him a "submissive". I don't think that Jacob's more dominating traits make him a "dom" either. I think if Russell needs to be honest with Jacob about his curiosity. I doubt they will ever be extreme - it's just not them. Russell almost seemed to have an anxiety attack. They could explain his lightheadedness and fainting. In an abundance of caution I would agree though that he should be seen by a doctor to rule out a more serious health issue. I wonder what this Plan B is that Jacob has in mind I know - I know

I can see why you had some reaction to this chapter. Russell does seem to have some submissive tendencies and Jacob does have some dominant traits - although they manifest more as protective - I just can't see them having a BDSM relationship. Sure they may eventually role play just for fun once in a while - or Jacob will realize that Russell likes his ass spanked lol - but I can't see it being a constant in their relationship. The lessons in sex were hot - Jacob was a patient and loving teacher and Russell was an eager, if nervous student - and in time they will both figure out what pleases the other. I laughed at the cafe email chat. The twins sound like they're going to be a handful when they finally get together in person I also really like that Russell is the one who essentially proposed to Jacob - even if it was through a cryptic email to his twin.

Russell's dad sounds like a bully and an ass. I am happy that Evan stood up for himself and didn't cave into his demands. I hope with Jacob in his corner that Russell will have the strength to stand up to his father as well. The emails between the twins were great. You could tell - even over a few emails - how much they mean to each other. I could amost picture Evan running around the room squealing with excitement I can't wait to see what happens next on the trip back to Copenhagen.

A wedding for two couples, adoption for CJ and a hot redhead for Doc. This chapter had everything I haven't even mentioned the hot sex, evening prayer services, boats and angry dragons

Russell isn't just hiding in his shell - he's hiding in his head as well. I have a feeling that Jacob is going to have to remind him several times before he breaks him of the habit of closing himself off inside his own thoughts. Russell's body image has been pretty warped. Was this a product of his illness - or did this start while living in the shadow of his outgoing twin? I know it made Russell uncomfortable having Jacob ask other people's opinion of him, but he really didn't believe Jacob when he said he found him attractive. As mortifying as it was he needed to hear an unbiased party tell him he is not the chubby plain boy he believes himself to be. It was also affirming for him to meet someone who seemed to have gone through the same body issues that he is going through. Maybe Jacob is finally making some progress in elevating Russell's self-image and confidence. Another enjoyable chapter Tim.

There is much more depth to Linda than I originally thought. She's not as shallow as she seems to portray herself to be. There is a lot of depth and protectiveness of her family hidden there. She's honestly a little scary if you come after her family Zane would do well to heed her warning to stay away from Jay. Denny was very lucky to have met Jay. His life and experiences so far sound really difficult. Even today how many men/boys would admit to being sexually abused? He needed to talk to someone and purge some of those ugly memories and Jay was there for him. I think that Denny will also find that Mikey is a good and loyal friend if given a chance. It will also be good for Denny to see what a loving relationship between to young men is supposed to look like.

I really enjoyed this first chapter. Russell's innocence is endearing but his self-doubt was very sad. The disease he contracted sounds debilitating. It could not have been easy - as a twin - being essentially left behind by his brother (even if that was not Evan's intention). Jacob strikes me as a kind and compassionate man. He seems to be exactly what Russell needs to build his confidence and sense of self-worth - not just with the exercise, which is already toning the body he didn't like - but by showing him that he is worth the love and attention. I wonder about the parents. Why is it so important for Russell to be gone? What would the father have done if he had stayed? Did his mother go back home? I am intrigued to see where you take this story.

The talk between Mikey and his dad was sad but also encouraging. His dad cares - but doesn't seem to know how to express that. I admire that he wants to try to rebuild a relationship with Mikey. I wonder about the cryptic silence about why he works so much. It looks like Mikey - who only the week before was a "loner" - now has a boyfriend and may even have a group of friends now. He is even joking and laughing in public. He has come a long way from the kid who seemed to want to be invisible such a short time ago. I wasn't surprised about Jay jumping in and defending Dennis - but I was a little surprised by how angry and vehement he became. I think he may have even surprised himself. Dennis seems like a nice kid. I think he MAY even be almost as shy as Mikey - but I think Jay and Mikey (and maybe even Greg?) will draw him out of his shell.

I like Sam and Mikkel. Jay is a lucky young man to have two such good men to talk to. I know the conversation must have been embarrassing for Jay, but he needed to have it. Today Jay could have researched gay sex and proper preparation on the Internet - but there was no such readily accessible information available in the 70s. It will be interesting to see Mik and Sam meet Mikey for the first time. Between meeting Jerry and now Mik and Sam on the weekend I think Mikey may have an anxiety attack

I think this chapter worked well because it was from Jay's point of view. Teenagers usually don't see their parents clearly and this chapter gave us a glimpse of the type of people they are from an "outsider's" point of view. In contrast to Dirck and Rosalie they do seem more reserved with their affection. They are not just reserved with Mikey but also with each other. Their marriage just did not seem as warm or affectionate as Jay's parents'. They did talk more to Jay than Miles remembers them ever talking - but how much of that is Miles shutting down and shutting them out with his body language? I'm not saying they have been great parents but Miles' dad does seem pretty interested in this truck project - and maybe spending time with his son. Perhaps Jay's presence can be what bridges the gap they built between them over the years? I like the unpoken moments between the boys - the squeezing of a hand in the garage - a smile - playing footsie under the table - touching their medallions as they lock eyes across the table - a kiss on the running boards. So many unpoken gestures that say more than words - although they also spoke the words

When I read about Carson I see my dad - if my dad changed. I can understand Kendall's worry that he is going to be hurt if the old Carson comes back. It would be my worry too. At the same time I admire Carson for trying to be a better person and admitting his failings to his sons. That wouldn't be easy for such a proud man. I get why he wants Kendall to take the money. It was always meant for Kendall and Kendall accepting the money puts things right in Carson's eyes. The fact that he sees Kendall and Michael as his SONS proves how much he has changed from the man Kendall remembers. Michael is a perceptive man. He saved Kendall from running and making a huge mistake. I think they both deserve a little "alone time"

Miles' insecurities were never going to be solved overnight and his reaction to Jerry's visit highlights that. Jay has helped Miles get past a lot of those issues but a few are going to bubble to the surface every once in a while. Dirck did a great job helping Miles get past his fears and let him know that he is not alone - that even someone he sees as strong and indestructible can feel insecure. Headstall is right - Dirck was born to be a father. Jay is a sweet boy and wants so badly to fix everything for his beloved but sometimes you just can't - sometimes you can only let them know you are there for them and hope that is enough. They are both very lucky to have Rosalie and Dirck in their lives.
