Oh, no! I'm floored...the end of a whole season, and there's been a helicopter crash...the waiting is going to kill me. A chilling end to a great chapter. I am glad you found this to be a good read. Of all the places to find refuge, a gambling casino hardly seems to be the one a person would choose. Daniel took a gamble, though, and chose Ibi over everything else, including safety. I feel so badly that there are so many who are trapped in violent and intolerant societies. So Toph is really growing! This is great to see. But how did Teddy really know about Steve? The parents' conversation? I wonder if Steve was more than he appeared...oh well. Niles wants Toph, but perhaps it's wise to keep him at arms' length just now. Good for Toph for writing his first story. More will come from practice, no doubt. Has he got dragon blood in him, too?

You have written a chapter with quiet tension building. Would Leo try to woo Tait back into his life, into his bed? Would Tait let him? If it happened, Phil would be gutted. But no - it didn't happen, at least not yet. Later, Phil actually told Tait about how he feels, finally. It isn't completely clear that Tait feels the same way Phil does - I think so, but can I be sure? All the uncertainty will draw me back! About the only certain thing is Tait's emerging determination to divorce Sean O'Grady and nail his hide to the wall. Amen to that. I really liked this chapter; don't suppose you have the next one ready for me, do you ? Please?

Sorry to have wrung you out. As I mentioned in other reviews, the catalyst for this story was a series of news items describing the plight of our brothers in Nigeria and Uganda. Daniel and Ibi were able to escape their homeland only to be wretchedly far apart. But they were saved by crossing a line they didn't even know about...I'm a hopeless romantic, so I wouldn't have left them without a HEA. I am so glad you liked this; I really enjoyed writing it. I have enjoyed the realism of the story. It also has a "fairy tale" quality that grants beauty and wonder. That the fairy tale remains believable is what I genuinely admire most in "A to Z". I am glad Frank did not exclude himself from the honeymoon. Andy, Zander ... y'all's brother went through the trouble, you should at least try them ... gotta be better than scratchy! OK, be shy if you must, but don't throw them out ... 1st anniversary will arrive sooner than you think ... maybe then ... I'm glad this was believable. Andy had some trouble believing, himself. But then, his waking with Zander was absolutely real. Frank's little joke just added extra zest to the day, didn't it? Although both Andy and Zander both know they can't stay in this idyll, they will always be able to savor it in memory - and maybe on any morning they wake up together, too. Thanks for your happy and encouraging thoughts!

I read a particular news story about a pair of gay men in Nigeria that had me weeping. In some ways, it was the catalyst for this story.
