  1. You are so very right, and your poem is an antidote to the wallowing in self pity I so often fall into. Thank you for a bracing, refreshing alternative to whiny melancholy.

    Chapter 17

Definitely...go tell him, Casey. Can't wait for you to do that!
  3. Glad you found your way here. Hope you find a lot of new favorites.
  4. What a wonderful end to a great story. I am so glad you went way, way, over the line on this! So happy these men are in love! Just one question: how is it possible you are only a promising author?
  5. Well, Alex has certainly marked off her territory and made it clear what she wants. Randy seems more hurtful than hilarious...he's out to skewer Alex, when he'd be a far better friend to tell her truthfully what he thinks. Gary is to be thanked for de-escalating the situation, but goodness, he can't be there all the time. Twoey had better find a way to head Alex off before he does something stupid. Perhaps he could find some unfortunate guy to divert her attention? Can't wait to see what more develops, and I anxiously await another chapter....
  6. I really loved that you would write to John A MacDonald. Awesome. Your family portrait poem touched me deeply, as did your poem about wanting to be friends. I can relate to this last, especially. Beautiful writing, Tim!
  7. Very glad to make your acquaintance. Looking forward to reading your story when the moment arises. I am happy you're here!
  8. So much to chew over in ch 83...have taken a long time to the this through, and still I am in a welter of thoughts. Agree with several others in that David's inability to remember a younger self speaks, no screams, of some kind of abuse he's blocking out. Would also fit with David's chronic need to control. So Chuck is becoming part of the Matty harem. Wonder if his education is going to require a number of hands-on group projects. Alex's attracting to David seems to be getting a little scarier. Hoping that Twoey can head that off before David gets an emotional hurt he can't handle at that moment. Glad Sam is hitting it off with Deena. thanks for an engrossing chapter, SD!

    Mary's Place

Well, spring is off to a terrific start...Brett survived, and will one day be able to resume his career and regular habits. Mary's place available next door? And then there is fear for Patrick's well being. Lots to look forward to this season!

    Chapter 15

Big smiles for this chapter. Glad to see Casey get a little closer to Shade. Hoping for Lane's participation in the play. Just hope that Curtis can get his head out of his posterior and find a way to coexist peacefully with his step-brother.
  11. This is a wonderful poem. The warmth of the sun, of Ra, likened to your lover. How incredibly apt. There is the joy and the delight when either returns from a long absence, and the despair when you know they will be gone. Perfectly matched. Thank you for this!
  12. I am very sorry to have taken so long to reply; I hope your tears of joy have dried. More gratifying is that the characters remain vivid and appealing to you at the end of the story. I hope you still remember them a year from now. I also hope you will feel like revisiting A and Z someday, and that the story will have worn well with time. Reed has a life of his own to lead, but Andy and Zander will be there for him, surely. Many thanks for your very kind and generous reviews.

    Chapter 66 Us

Again, thanks for your patience. If the last chapter healed the past and made the boys whole, this chapter heralds their happy future. And you are right: their love will grow and promises to be a wonderful, wonderful thing.
  14. Thanks so much, Lisa. I appreciate your being patient as I catch up on things after a long absence. I am so very glad you liked this chapter. Andy and Zander making sweet love was simultaneously wonderful and difficult to write. I am glad it appealed to you.
  15. Dear Def, somehow, I missed this lovely and thoughtful review. I apologize. I am so very happy you liked this chapter. I agonized over it and re edited it about a million times. Andy and Zander giving themselves to each other was one of the hardest and most wonderful things I got to write. And it was good to dispose of Roger, wasn't it? Thanks for your review, and for being patient.
  16. David is returning to himself, and becoming more himself again. His taking stock philosophically certainly sounds like the David we knew earlier. Now David must deal with those mesmerizing green eyes...and he has no excuses of distraction or other events to put that off now. Twoey suddenly going all jealous when Alex arrived was so cute. Hope it makes Twoey work that much harder to connect with David and leave Erik to his own devices. And little horny Chuck! Wonderful chapter, and looking forward to more!
  17. One helluva ride. The ultimate sin of pledging because it's what's expected just smashed Adam in the face. No more Kevin. Just more self hatred. Ugh.
  18. Quirky, vaguely creepy, definitely unsettling. Did Rudi get what he wanted? Or was there something out there that got Rudi? Perfectly written to leave us questioning...loved it!

    Chapter 8

Oh dear. It sounds as if it's Jack's time for a relapse...and Luke is in the doghouse, too. At least the two of them have become more comfortable. Circling, circling...circumstances may yet be right. But in the meantime, one wonders what Jack is up to.
  20. Tim, I know I am late in reviewing, but these are so powerful, so eloquent. Owned is a horror, expertly written and you make me feel its intensity and outrage. I want to hurt the man who is hurting you. Dream makes me cry out differently, for the pain of a love that seems like a mirage rather than a destiny. And we should all be loved this way; it ought not be a dream at all. I admire your rhyme and attention to the structure...it flows easily, and pulls me along as a reader. Molto bravo!
  21. Oh, very, very lovely. "I haven't asked you yet!" I thou up this ending was perfect. Glad for Tait and Phil, that they can be one another's now. You crafted a wonderful epilogue to an exciting and compelling story. Was afraid for what Sean would do to Tait when he appeared. Glad the cavalry in the form of Phil and the officers appeared in time. Thanks so much for this wonderful tale.
  22. You are so very welcome, and I am glad this story touched you. All stories must end, though, and I am content Andy and Zander are happy and in love. There are so many other great stories waiting for you here, too! Thank you so much for reading A to Z and for leaving such a very kind comment.
  23. I am so very glad you got a seat in the back pew to see the wedding with everyone. Andy managed to survive his horrors, walk the roads, live in hiding, get through this frazzled day so that he could do this. I felt just as emotional as you did when I wrote it. That Andy is not related to Gunnar is a great weight off his shoulders and off his heart, too. In some ways it is the best wedding present he could ask for. Thank you for reading Andy's journal, and for your wonderful and generous comments.

    A Life to Win

An amicable parting without hurt. Moving on to sunlight and affirmation. Great themes developed here. Well done. I liked this.
