    Breakthrough!

It is interesting to get a glimpse of Ryder's creative process. His grandma really cracks me up! I like her more with each chapter. Teddy is changing, and I'd be curious to see how he interacts with Mike, Blake, and Liz.

    Opening Boxes

I had kind of forgotten just how much I enjoyed Barry and Dave, and their story! You've read and responded to Headstall, Cole Matthews, LitLover, and the rest. They pretty much have said what I'm feeling about this chapter.
  3. I'd like someone in my life. Too bad Dave's taken, or about to be. 😉 Your characters are very personable and engaging. I am really getting to know and like them! Thanks.
  4. It was a good chapter for us to learn a bit more about all the guys. I assume we will have Jonathan and Gregg around for a while. I was like charlieocho and had to look up La Casa de Fuga. Very clever!
  5. Just finished through this chapter. I think this is my second time reading this story, and I am enjoying it as much as I did the first time! Thanks.

    A New Family?

Your writing really conveys the anxiety, frustration, and fear the guys are feeling over the changes coming. I'm not certain how I feel about Teddy and the band. I don't believe in instant besties, but they all have a vested interest in Ryder. Getting along for Ryder's sake is good for everyone. I think Teddy has realized he needs to be strong if their relationship is going to survive.
  7. If you only read one story on GA make it this one. It is the start of the journey of a pretty special family and their friends. CJ's stepfather finds out CJ is gay and kicks him out. Mother does not protest. CJ ends up moving in with his gay father and his partner. It sounds like the plot in many stories about gay young men, but this story rises above. Carlos Hazday's writing is very readable, and he has created an amazing young man in CJ! It is not all rainbows and sunshine as he settles in to a new way of life. His father's and their friends help him on his way to adulthood.
  8. I feel old. Most of the "old guys" in this story could be my children. Hmmm. Guess it doesn't matter, but they seem more like contemporaries. I appreciate this list. It was a nice review.
  9. Well, well, well. I'd forgotten the multiple cliffhangers that ended this story. It does remind me I was spitting nails knowing I'd have to wait until the next story to find out what has happened. But this time I just chuckle to myself knowing how each cliffie turns out. And knowing I can move right on to the next story. I'm thinking this is my third time reading this story. (pause while the broken record is placed on the turntable) You have done an amazing job of creating these believable characters who move about in a world I can picture, speaking dialogue that sounds very real to me. On top of that you have made me care about these people. Bravo! and thanks. P.S. How could I overlook meeting Harley and how funny he was when he met CJ? Like so many others he is one of my favorite characters!
  10. I don't usually cry at weddings, and this one was no exception. However the thoughts of each wedding member at the beginning of the story left me a bit misty eyed. More good story. Thanks for sharing.
  11. This is a most enjoyable story! Rex, the realtor, tells us about how he and Joe, the plumber, get together. The narration is very readable, and the character's personality really comes through. The author's main characters are very believable guys. You probably know someone like them. He has also created an appealing supporting cast: relatives, neighbors, and friends. In spite of a slow start and a couple of big challenges the guys manage to stick together. I believe this is the author's first story, and I will be looking for others to read.
  12. I just read my comment from January 2016 and the feelings are the same. Here we are two years later. I've just re-read this story and loved it as much this time as I did the first time. Thank you for making my weekend so enjoyable!
  13. OMG! I don't remember Kyle Goodson making a cameo of sorts when I read this before! What a nice touch, and it brought back fond memories of reading those stories! Imagine Kyle and CJ teaming up for a project. They would be a force to reckoned with! It is probably time for me to remind you how much I love these characters and this story! Your writing makes them so interesting and appealing. It was kind of a lazy weekend for me, and spending time with CJ and company is always a good time. Thank you.

    A New Ryder

It is like Teddy and Ryder have changed roles. Teddy seems less and less confident, while Ryder is settling in as the undisputed leader in the band and in his relationship with Teddy. None of this is necessarily bad. It's just an observation. Thanks for more good story!
  15. Loved the mention of Tyson Hill! Guess I need to add "Love on the Rocks" to my re-read list. I am enjoying your characters and story again! It surprised me the details I have forgotten from my last reading. Thank you.
  16. What a well written chapter! From hot lovin' to ER stress, you certainly ran the gamut of emotions! Even as a re-read, it made me nervous. Thanks.
  17. I'd forgotten how well you describe hot sex! Way to go Joe! Way to write Robert!

    Chapter 1

I am back for another read. I can't remember if this is read number two or three. I remember enjoying this story the first time, and I can tell already I will enjoy getting reacquainted with Joe and Rex! Thanks.

    Crush on You

Then a handshake and/or hug to Mann! You guys must be like the Dynamic Duo! 😉

    It's A Shame

Don't you mean the woman who shall not be named, step-ass, and Chump? LMAO

    It's A Shame

OMG! "He might have to practice monogamy for the foreseeable future." That is a very telling thought by Chip, and another good reason for Doc to call it quits.

    Crush on You

There is some really good writing in this chapter. As usual your dialogue and portrayal of your characters' emotions are spot on! Was "Summer" your first attempt to write fiction? I seem to remember a comment that said/implied that. If so, it's hard to believe. This story is engaging and well written! Thanks.

    No Surrender

I'm certain I've made this comment before. One of my favorite parts of the CJ stories is the pillow talk between Cesar and Brett at the end of each chapter. Your dialogue always sounds so natural and real to me. Still enjoying the re-read. Thanks.
  24. I am surprised there are only two pages of comments! 😜 When I read this the first time, I had to wait for the next chapter. Today, I laugh at your puny attempt. 😄 Hahahaha! I'm on to the next chapter!
  25. For me the two best things in an already good chapter were the phone call to Ritchie and meeting Chatri. I have missed Chatri in the more recent stories, but with such a large supporting cast I'm certain it is hard to give everyone "airtime." Although you do a pretty good job of spreading it around, and I've come to enjoy the clever ways you have CJ touch base with the supporting cast! I have always admired what a supportive big brother CJ is. I'd forgotten how much it bothered him that he wasn't there to support Ritchie. Thanks again, Carlos, for this story. The re-read is like catching up with an old friend.
