i do our taxes.. they are fairly simple and we normally dont have to pay. @wildone ... you scared me saying taxes had to be done by March 31 .. i looked it up though.. it's April 30, like normal.

You and me. We talk often about our lives, our men and the world. When you said you were going out for dinner, inside i just screamed YES! It was a big thing. All you've been through have been sort of firsts ... you're fully vaccinated and you got to go out for dinner. i am happy that you guys could do that. i wanted it to be good, because while we are so far from being able to, you did it. And yeah, it gives me hope that one day we'll be able to as well. xo

Michael and i have been married ... 11 years.. 12 as of later this year. We don't argue, that is often down to our chosen lifestyle but it works for us. i can make my feelings known, however it must be done properly. But i am very happy in myself, Him and how we live. Relationships must be nurtured and cherished so the people in them grow and thrive. We have to expect there will be bumps and challenges along the way.

i think the feeling of distance is normal in a relationship. it's happened to us a few times over the years...life slides between you... jobs, groceries, cleaning the toilet..just the day to day stuff that wears us down. If you can make a date to go for a walk ... walking = talking, very often. And our one ritual is in bed at night.... where we hold each other and talk about the day, how we feel. We do this every night, even if all we really need to talk about is whether we liked the new spaghetti sauce we made. Laughing is allowed too! but it's important to talk .. not to let things slide.. xo

i have gone back to one of my fav online food places.. Budget Bytes.. Last week: Spinach Pie (amazing and good for breakfast), sweet and sour sheet pan chicken and veg (also really good), curried beef and peas and next stir fried beef and cabbage. the blanket is easy really.. and addictive.

Good for his dad! i know you're tired but i bet that feels good in a way. You son has more good role models. i'm sure both those young men learned something. i hope you manage to get some rest this weekend. xo

We eat fish.. oven baked usually, every other week. We enjoy it. Today i knit an egg, baked macaroons that Michael can eat and made beef curry with peas. Also we went shopping. i am still working on my mitred blanket. Mine is bright .. like this one:
