Yes, its 60f/16c here atm. But by Monday we are supposed to have a high of 82F/27c. I hope the weather guys have change of mind before that! ~ wonders how much it would cost to knit himself a cashmere sweater~ Mmm, no after a quick peek at some nice cashmere that is 50% new and 50% recycled the cost would be about $300.00. So, not a project for me at this time.

An excellent 'coming out' piece. However, for Jack, it's more like being dragged out. It's never easy becoming yourself, and Jack has to walk the steep and bumpy road. You need to read the story to find out how he navigates his world. I recommend this excellent short story.

Good Morning...laundry day and i gotta think of something for dinner. There are a few leftovers from last night and i have more cabbage and carrots so i will bosh something together. Because it was lovely and very warm yesterday, Michael took us out for dinner. Today i am cooking, roast butternut squash, cabbage and our stuffed peppers along with a nice pork tenderloin. Smelling nice in here. Hope you all are enjoying your Tuesday.

Oh boy, slept in today, i guess stuff was catching up.. anyway after i figured out it was Monday and finished breakfast, here i am. I hope everyone has a great day and don't forget that it is: Eat right, take a walk and stay positive.

The lil cake is cute and good for us three for two days. We can't have big pieces of cake even though i want one..lol So this is Michael's b-day cake just very late. The buns came out great. The recipe called for 2.5 tablespoons of sugar, which i didn't put in. Bread should not be sweet unless it's hot cross buns, panettone, or other sweet bread. Sandwich bread, baguettes, or sandwich rolls and even dinner rolls should not be sweet! This was a rich recipe anyway. Milk, egg and butter make a very rich dough, it doesn't have to be sweetened as well. And yeast does not need you to add sugar in order to work. Ok.. i'm tired and need a nap. I'll see you all later on.

Where you live would be a vacation for me. However, the weather here is lovely 20c or 68f. Currently baking hamburger buns since we cannot find whole wheat anything lately in our local store. I'd rather make them myself anyway. I can get 10 for the price of 6. And i'm baking a 6" lil cake because we want cake. It's whole wheat too. We'll see how it comes out. I hope your bad weather isn't too bad and that you enjoyed your holiday.

Happy Sunday. Today is World Rivers Day. We have a few rivers in Toronto, The Don and The Humber and The Rouge Rivers, then we have a ton of creeks. Sorry creeks, it's not your day! But if you live near a creek, be nice to it as it just wants to be a river.

(doing this helps me remember what day it is usually, Lol) It is also World Dream Day.. yes that is a thing... these are not sleepy time dreams however but other kinda dreams like, i'd like to own a horse, or i'd like to move to a warmer place, or i'd like to publish a book (no, that's not my dream) or i'd like to be the CEO of the world, you know stuff like that, or more rational dreams like, i'd like to have my own house, or i'd like to buy a car, or i'd like to be a doctor.. like that. Anyway, they are your dreams, so dream them and maybe on World Dream Day take a step toward making that dream come true. Have a good one peoples.

i rarely know what the actual day is. i often feel like it's Sunday. But weird things happen to you when you have few responsibilities anymore. Days just merge together and are forgotten unless you have appointments.

Hope your Tuesday is going well. I bought 3 giant green peppers yesterday, diced them up today and got 7 cups of peppers. 6 x 1cup went into the freezer for over the winter curries, chili and stews. They were 99 cents a pound much better than the usual $3.99. So, now other than lunch i don't have much cooking to do. Dinner is leftover curry. I sauteed the pepper tops to add to the curry tonight. Next, i think i will make some yellow curry paste to put in the freezer. I'll wait till the weather is cooler though as it requires roasting shallots and garlic. I guess i could do them in the air fry though. Yeah, maybe... but that's enough of my exciting life..lol. Whatever you do today, have a good one.

Happy Tuesday. Today in 1846 the gas giant, planet Neptune was discovered. Although we usually see it as a lovely sapphire colour here it is after Voyageur saw it in person, so to speak... sky blue is nice too! Have a great day folks.

It's Monday. Sort of a busy day for me. Danny and i slept in until 9:45 am... argh. So, managed to crawl outta bed. Made breakfast ... then had to make bread since that didn't get done the other day, and we used the last slice and crust this morning. Danny and/or Michael are crust eaters, i'm much too delicate to eat such things. LOL. So two nice loaves are cooling now. Then i made dinner…chicken curry. We eat that A LOT... cuz we like it and it uses things up. I now have a bit of time before final dinner prep. Sooo, i am here to let you know it is the summer equinox today or was for us here in the Northern Hemisphere, at 2:19pm ET. We had a couple of hours of rain as well, which was welcome. It's warmish today, about 75f. So, i hope you all have a super-duper Monday!!!

i love my air fryer cuz all it is really a little oven, but i use to for sweet potato fries, the most amazing chicken thighs... it makes frozen battered fish taste like deep-fried, and it doesn't give off much heat. So between the air fryer and the instant pot, not much heat during the summer. i probably didn't do them right, but i did not like baked potatoes from the microwave. It's a moot point now because i cannot eat baked potatoes really. I can eat soaked and then boiled potatoes but just a small serving. All this food talk reminds me i need to make another plum and peach crisp. I love the Italian prune plums we can get in late august and sept ... They are purple outside and green in the centre and when you cook them, they turn this wonderful shade of fuchsia. And they taste amazing cooked and raw. And it's bread time, too. So a couple of things to do tomorrow.
