I wake, and the world is silent,
it expands from the body,
maybe out beyond the stars.
A thought lingers —
but what if nothing waits,
what if there's nothing but the dark?
Fear sings in my bones.
It offers no words, only weight,
pressure behind the eyes,
a lump in the chest
that no prayer or promise
is ever strong enough to lift.
I am a ghost walking through days
Like other shadows pretending
we know the road ahead.
Silence fills our days
We are
Good Morning, Fellow Travellers! Today is Friday and also on this Friday it is World Smile Day. So, share some of those with your friends, neighbours and passersby!
Have a good one, folks.
i don't buy clothes, Michael buys my clothes. But i've never asked for such a thing. i don't even know what one feels like. He certainly doesn't wear them. He doesn't wear sweaters of any kind at all. When i say my Husband is hot, it's because he literally is Hot. He spends his non-at-work life in sleeveless shirts and shorts year round. i will be freezing and in layers and blankets but not Michael. He does dress nicely for work and when we're out but He is a furnace on legs.
Yes, its 60f/16c here atm. But by Monday we are supposed to have a high of 82F/27c. I hope the weather guys have change of mind before that! ~ wonders how much it would cost to knit himself a cashmere sweater~
Mmm, no after a quick peek at some nice cashmere that is 50% new and 50% recycled the cost would be about $300.00. So, not a project for me at this time.
An excellent 'coming out' piece. However, for Jack, it's more like being dragged out. It's never easy becoming yourself, and Jack has to walk the steep and bumpy road. You need to read the story to find out how he navigates his world.
I recommend this excellent short story.
Nice to read a little history. This happened before i came into existence. So, this is not remotely my story, but that's a good thing.
And this is a great short story. Thanks for sharing it, Gary.
Good Morning...laundry day and i gotta think of something for dinner. There are a few leftovers from last night and i have more cabbage and carrots so i will bosh something together.
It is Women's History Month here...
The above comes from the Canadian Government website. You can view the entire timeline here.
Because it was lovely and very warm yesterday, Michael took us out for dinner. Today i am cooking, roast butternut squash, cabbage and our stuffed peppers along with a nice pork tenderloin. Smelling nice in here. Hope you all are enjoying your Tuesday.
Today in Canada is the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation
It is a time to recognize and commemorate the intergenerational harm that residential schools caused to Indigenous families and communities, and to honour those who have been affected by this injustice.
Oh boy, slept in today, i guess stuff was catching up.. anyway after i figured out it was Monday and finished breakfast, here i am. I hope everyone has a great day and don't forget that it is:
Eat right, take a walk and stay positive.
Lots of nearly ready meals in your future... yummy. He takes part, you can win if you don't but even if there's no prize, He's still won. Looks terrific... mmmm
The lil cake is cute and good for us three for two days. We can't have big pieces of cake even though i want one..lol So this is Michael's b-day cake just very late.
The buns came out great. The recipe called for 2.5 tablespoons of sugar, which i didn't put in. Bread should not be sweet unless it's hot cross buns, panettone, or other sweet bread. Sandwich bread, baguettes, or sandwich rolls and even dinner rolls should not be sweet!
This was a rich recipe anyway. Milk, egg and butter make a very rich dough, it doesn't have to be sweetened as well. And yeast does not need you to add sugar in order to work.
Ok.. i'm tired and need a nap. I'll see you all later on.
Where you live would be a vacation for me. However, the weather here is lovely 20c or 68f. Currently baking hamburger buns since we cannot find whole wheat anything lately in our local store. I'd rather make them myself anyway. I can get 10 for the price of 6. And i'm baking a 6" lil cake because we want cake. It's whole wheat too. We'll see how it comes out.
I hope your bad weather isn't too bad and that you enjoyed your holiday.
