I agree with this whole statement I’m a pb freak. And yes more please I know this was meant as a short story but this has the potential to be a great book.

Hmm, This Tom and Mitch thing is starting to warm up to me… I wasn’t sure at first… it was weird Tay is gone and Tom was supposed to be with Kit… but things change and sometimes change can be good. They do really seem to get along well. Maybe Kit did good.

I mean in the Prologue... Tom wasn't mentioned there just Kits new man... LOL

Wow talk about a shock to the system…. Prologue and Tulane has died and Tom is missing… kit has kids and a different man….. Chapter 1 Kit has set his dad up with his ex wow wow wow. Still not sure what I think.

Hmm, was so looking forward to this book… And now I’m not.

I was almost ready to stop reading this story..... I would have if Tyler had died. But I mean haven't these guys had enough.....

Mystery, intrigue, and a ghost…. Twists and turns and red herrings in about every chapter. This was my 2nd time reading this and it was just as good as the first time through. If you enjoy mystery you should give this story a read. And also check out Laura’s other stories as well she is a great author. Q

Hmm, Doing a reread of this story, it’s funny seeing a prior post of mine… Some things came back as I was reading but I completely forgot about Renzo. Just as good reading as it was the first time through. As an aside I’m also loving Rusty and the gang in Chasing Rusty Parker.

Oh wow Dana is quite the character and together with Tay? I laughed pretty much through this whole chapter. Q

I had to go back although I went all the way back to Confounded 1 and then binged read. It wasn’t a chore to do that the the characters and the writing are great. Welcome back glad you have returned to writing and I look reading anything you write. Q

Wow I was so happy when I checked my notifications yesterday and saw a new chapter posted. I thought my eyes were deceiving me. I haven’t read the new chapter yet as I went back and started over again with confounded 1 and just binged read again up to the newest chapter. So glad you are back and the writing bug has struck again you are at the top of my to 10 fav writers. I had basically given up hope that this story would be finished since it had been so long. Well welcome back and I look forward to more on this story and the others you write. Q

“I may be his boyfriend, but fuck. Why couldn’t I have just let them talk shit about him. You’re a dumbfuck Jason James!” He exclaims. hmm. Aiden over reacting big time. The point is. He DIDNT let them talk shit. And now he’s paying the price for it losing out on football and a scholarship even though he doesn’t really need it…. But to have earned it would have been good for his moral.

I too can’t believe someone hadn’t brought up the whole “drama club = gay” thing either. I’ve never actually understood that tho. Look at all the high prolific male actors they had to start somewhere right? And no one well at least most don’t call them all gay for acting. And where would movies and tv be if there were no male actors? Another fine chapter. I knew as soon as Andy said he could play he would be in the lead role even tho that’s so not what he wanted. I can’t wait to see how well the play does and what kind of reception they boys get for their parts in the play. It was also cool to touch base with Greg and Junie. The sleep over was a great idea and bonded the 4 even more. Our school didn’t really have a drama department or if it did I really didn’t know about it. We did have a Play and a musical every year but it was always put on by the seniors. I think had I known or they actually offered Drama or Theater classes I would have joined for the behind the scenes stuff. I did get to run lights one year for the senior shows (Death of a salesmen and Carousel) I had a lot of fun. It was my ninth grade year and I wasn’t bullied as much that year because I had made some senior friends because of it. I even got to attend both cast parties that year.

Great chapter. Junebug hmm can’t say I have ever ran into someone with that name…. Probably a good thing I haven’t this is going to make me sound like a wuss but I am deathly terrified of Junebugs it’s their damn sticky legs and that that dang hard shell I hate them. But this one seems pretty likable. I haven’t been sure what to think of Greg he very well may not be gay or bi maybe he doesn’t like labels or maybe he’s Pan and just loves the person regardless of their gender. I don’t think it’s going to take a month for him to figure it out tho. I now can’t wait to read about these four now.

Hmm. So it’s not the Boone adventures… but I’m hooked looking forward to reading more about these two. You write your characters so well you can’t help but feel as if you could just walk up to any of them in rl someday. And your writing makes it feel like you are right there watching what is going on. Yes there very well could be some one older more wiser then Nicholaas, since the Skwish and the more powerful it is within someone seems to allow them to live much much longer then others. I hadn't really thought of that though I was just thinking Nicholaas is the oldest user of skwish we have been introduced to so far. We know Robin is around 800 and its been said Nicholaas is perceived as even older then him, but that certainly doesn't mean he is the oldest of the Skwish out there.

Thanks for the Surprise Boone and Co. Story Geron. I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure. I really enjoy all of the Adventures but This one so far is my Favorite. Browbeat and then we get an explanation of where Skwish originated kinda filled in some questions from previous adventures. Even though this was somewhat of a mild adventure for the gang no baddies it pulled the story line together. I too was surprised that the person that was going to tell the gang what was up was Max.... When they said they heard footsteps for some reason I was expecting it to be Nicholaas. So if the gang are all descendants of the folks that left the island that means everyone in their blood line would have some type of Skwish. Maybe one day we will see some of the Parents join on an adventure. Or at least maybe Charlie or Kip being able to tell their parents some of their stories. I am happy that it was Castor that chose to go with Charlie you could tell they were building a friendship during the time they were on the isle. Not everyone befriended a spirit to travel with them and thats ok. Looking forward to the next Adventure or side story with Pacha or whoever decides they want to be written about.

Ok I called that, in my comments on the last chapter, I said I wasn’t absolutely certain but I had a feeling they would find Ian there alive and well. We learned that there are many spirits on the island so the possibility of the gang getting there own “wand” like another commenter made last chapter is a possibility I could see the spirits befriending each of there own member of the gang. Will have to wait and see if that’s in the cards tho. What was surprising to me was the welcome home from Ian the gang has certainly never been there before. At least not in their lifetime in their current life. But like was mentioned they could be/are dependents of those that left the islands eons ago. Such an interesting story I have enjoyed all of the tales so far but I am currently thinking this is my favorite so far. In part it has to do with Browbeat (i just love that little guy’s enthusiasm) and Amy joining them this time. Also Reudi I had a good feeling about him the last time we met him and his enthusiasm to be able to accompany the gang onto the island. Q

Hmm I have another feeling here I could be way off.... But Its possible the Gang may meet up with someone on the island and that, that wand is still in someone's possession. I was/am also wondering the same thing if one was given to Ian so that the spirit could see the wider world, why not one for the gang as they are doing a great service for the spirit currently in their possession. Parts of this chapter brought tears to my eyes, Again the spirit was left alone waiting for his people/person to return.... Hmm a new thought if they don't discover what happened to the people of the Island as of course the spirit/s there would know nothing of what happened to the islanders after they left, would the spirit domes on Engris be of some help? And as someone else mentioned is this island where Skwish originated and was spread out from there when the islanders left? We have to assume tho that something happened to the Original islanders even with the evidence we have that they can live a long long time if there were a single one left wouldn't they have tried to get back? And as was mentioned the most powerful older ones are probably direct descendants and either forgot or was not told of the island or maybe thought was just Lore. Well I will stop rambling now Only 2 chapters to go so we will find out the answers to our questions then.

I noticed the guy that noted the wood along the cobble paths it was mentioned that they were all connected and ran to each building. The pathway for the wood spirit so it could make it to each building for the up keep perhaps? Great story so far again I always love these guys adventures.

Wow this was such a nice surprise! I am very happy to hear there may be other Boone adventures even if there isn’t a holiday right around the corner. I really do love these guys and the adventures they get up to. I may have to join the crew on this adventure as I’m only 4hrs away from Jim Thorpe Pa. Wouldn’t it be great to really meet up with them? Q

Wow, All I can say is OMG Thank You. I haven't started reading yet but just discovered this today. I wasn't expecting any thing of this type until Halloween with Charlie and the Boys. But this will be great to read what the others are up to when they aren't helping Charlie and the gang. I had to comment about my joy at just seeing this before I even started to read.

I’m pretty sure the story I’m looking for I was reading here at GA it’s very possible it was somewhere else but I’m starting my search here. I can’t remember the title or author. I had a stroke and my memory is not what it used to be. Cindy and I think Harry are the one boys father they are religious Cindy more then her husband they lived next door to the other family this family had a teenage son who was getting in to some trouble. If I recall the last incident that ended up with the punishment was him and a couple of his friends sliding naked across the gym floor which led his mom into making him help a group fix up a neighborhood park and working with the teen of the other family leading to them after awhile becoming friends and more and causing issues with Cindy. Anyone recognize this and can lead me to it? The Best Year by Krista.
