  1. I don't remember when I received this recipe or where it came from, but I've been using it to make these Banana muffins for awhile now. I'm always very happy with them, and as soon as the 20 pounds of other baked goods are eaten I'll probably bake a batch. Ingredients: 1/2 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup brown sugar 3 bananas, mashed 1/4 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 cup wheat bran 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup chopped walnuts Directions1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a muffin pan or line with paper muffin liners. 2. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar together until fluffy. Add bananas, milk, vanilla and eggs; mix well. Stir in flour, bran, baking powder, soda and salt; blend just until moistened. Stir in walnuts. Pour batter into prepared muffin cups. 3. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean. Cool in the cups for 5 minutes, then remove muffins and place on a wire rack to cool completely.
  2. Thank you for sharing, this was a beautiful story and tribute to your husband.
  3. Both boys were surprised to find that there was mutual interest in each other. Riley always assumed that Chase’s flirtations with girls were completely real and not just a fabrication, and Chase assumed the sometimes cold and distant persona that Riley projected was his own way of showing he wasn’t interested. It was Chase who first proposed the idea of a night out for dinner, both boys saw it as a chance to learn more about each other without there being too much stress involved. Chase looked
  4. Thank you for the kind story Lenny, I hope that the New Year brings you and everyone else glad tidings and a productive, happy future.
  5. As I was running to my car, all I could think about was what I was going to be doing in a few minutes. I had some experience with girls, but there’s a heck of a lot of differences between a girl and a guy, and I was about to find out about a lot of them. This wasn’t really how I planned on my first time with a dude, considering he basically blackmailed me into it, but I suppose I can’t complain about who it is. I had no idea what to expect, but I didn’t have any time left to really think about
  6. A very happy birthday and Christmas to you, I hope it's filled with joy and your loved ones.
  7. May each and every one of you enjoy the spirit of the season and hopefully have the chance to spend it with the ones you love. I hope the New Year brings happiness, love and success to you all.

    Chapter 1

Hehe, thank you for the review Lisa. Yes, Devin's definitely in a tough spot, and I'm already a little sorry for the cliffhanger ending for the chapter. I'm glad that the characters seem to be coming alive for you, or at least you can see them clearly. The next chapter shall be coming really soon, hopefully in the next few days or so.
  9. Dating was such an unexpected surprise. Ever since the team defeated Cavity, Riley began to see Chase in a new light. At first the boy thought his feelings for the older teen were just the results of team bonding and camaraderie, but Riley began to notice that these feelings didn’t extend as far to the rest of the team. Yes, he cared about everyone and wanted to keep everyone safe, but his thoughts kept drifting back to Chase. When they first met, Riley had to admit he didn’t like Chase. Chase
  10. Riley's always so serious. Chase always plays it cool. Riley thinks he's got Chase all figured out. When the two decide to take a chance and build a relationship, they learn more about each other and that they can be gay, a couple and Power Rangers all at once.

    Chapter 1

I appreciated the way that you built up this initial sense of distrust between Chris and Aaron. I work in the kind of facility where Chris would be one of my students/residents, and I can tell you that they want absolutely nothing to do with anyone when they first meet new people. I think that you hit that part of Chris' personality spot on, and the way they built up that trust between himself and Aaron was very beautifully done. The epilogue was really well done as well, I appreciate that it does leave the door open to write another chapter or a sequel, which I hope you've done.
  12. I can't stand "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas". It's so overplayed. I admit that beyond the sentimental reasons, I love "Do they know its Christmas time?". It just lends itself well to group harmonies and arrangements, which I love to see and hear (and sometimes attempt to mimic).

    Chapter 1

Dear Ozymandias; Thank you for your read through and the kind words about the story. This poor story has gone through a number of revisions, and I finally feel mostly comfortable with the product I have here. Who knows though, like most writers I'll probably finish it and then revise the living daylights out of the poor thing. Chapters should be up twice a week, so you won't have to wait too long Again, thank you for reading and your review, I appreciate it.
  14. Apologies if this is inappropriate or considered soliciting, but it's certainly good news for me. I've received written correspondence from professors and librarians at three separate universities that they would like to purchase my research book for their collections. Just have to wait for the sales to go through, but this is a nice little Christmas gift for myself.
  15. Thank ye kindly for the welcome. I like to think I'm pretty cool. Not sure if my clients agree... will have to see how the first few lessons of the new year go before we can say for sure.
  16. It’s not supposed to snow in April. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love the snow, and I especially love the snow when I’m grinding a rail or shredding the mountain on my board. But right now I’m wearing my baseball uniform trying to catch fly balls, and I can’t even see the damn ball because of all the snow coming down. I’m not afraid, not really. I’ve been playing baseball for longer than I can remember, why would I be afraid of a baseball coming at me? I can’t help but glance at my right elbow
  17. The Last Out is the story of seventeen year old Devin Williams, an athlete whose deepest secret threatens to shatter the life he’s created for himself. Devin is what everyone expects of him in small town Washington; he’s an athlete, he gets good grades and he helps out around the house with his father. When a run-in with the school baseball team’s catcher goes terribly wrong and sets into motion a series of events, Devin must decide how to face his fears and biases.
  18. I'm really getting into this song from Walk Off the Earth. Hold On (The Break) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_FjSae4siA
  19. I adore The way he looks. It's so really well done and just warms up the heart. North Sea Texas was good. Private Romeo was pretty good. You really have to have an understanding of Romeo and Juliet to get a real sense of the movie though.
  20. It's a chance for me to spend time with family members that I wouldn't normally get to see, either because we're all too busy or they're too far away to visit with regularly. In recent years its also meant a chance for me and my partner to get together and do some bonding with both our families; We'd do breakfast and lunch with his family and dinner with mine. That won't be happening this year, but Christmas is still the time where I get to see people. It's also a great opportunity for me to reflect on the past year, think about what went right and wrong, and then figure out what my plans are going to be for the following year.
  21. I'm really appreciating and approving of the fact that there are more and more professional and high calibre athletes coming out. I did a major research piece and book on how accepted LGBTQ youth athletes are, and it's nice to see my research being borne out with anecdotes and reality.
  22. Hello everyone. Long time reader in a very stilted way, finally making the attempt to create an account of my own and post some of what I've written. I'm terrible at writing these kinds of things, so I have no idea if I'm doing this right. Anyway, a little about me: I'm 25 years old, a graduate of my chosen university's Political Science and Education programs, and am currently doing my third degree as a diploma in Adult Education. Eventually I'll get a Masters and Doctorate in Special Education, which focuses on learning disabilities and addressing special needs in the classroom. I'm an underemployed teacher looking for my first classroom, but in the meantime I volunteer as a tutor in my local youth detention facility, and serve as a contracted tutor for at-risk youth in my community. I hope someday to become a full-time educator at the youth detention facility, and to later use those experiences to help bring a new perspective to my local political scene. Outside of my work, I enjoy nearly any sport known to mankind, and am currently curl as my main sport. I also ski, and swim, and have been known to play baseball, volleyball, tennis and basketball whenever I can find enough people to join me. My other hobbies include working on my political activism and volunteering for causes I hold dear, and more recently writing. I'm new to writing, and I feel like my first story is very formulaic, so I'm hoping to get some new perspectives on what I can do with the writing to make it more original and personable to the reader. I have hopes of someday publishing a series based on my first book, and look forward to reading other people's posts. Oh, and yes, I first came here in search of DomLuka's work. I know about the Domoholics Forum, and I'll probably spend a fair bit of my time there when I'm not feverishly attempting to perfect my writing until either it or I start screaming bloody murder. Ummm... any questions, feel free to ask. Way kinder to ask me what you want to know about me so I don't start rambling like I'm probably doing now. A pleasure to get to know everyone here.
