    The menu for Christmas Eve at the Scrawler residence. Appetizers: Szechuan Shrimp Cocktail Mini steamed buns with Pork and Roasted Chestnuts. Five-Spice Roasted Cashews Soup: Hot and Sour Butternut Squash Main Dish: Peking Duck with Hoisin-Cranberry Sauce Sides: Lotus Root and Carrot Salad with Citrus Dressing. Garlic Green Beans with Toasted Sesame. Dessert: Ginger-Sesame Cookies (in addition to the other cookies I'm making.)

    I made a hot Snickerdoodle drink the other day. Milk, half-and-half, sugar, butter, vanilla, and cinnamon. It was delicious. 😋

    Yep, everyone is doing well here. No school events for Max or Colton. There was a production of The Nutcracker at Central High School a few weeks ago, but Max didn't take part. The local community theater has an indie production coming in March 2026, so we'll see if Max can make the audition.

    Another thing I believe you've spoken about is the "family business". An adult child is expected to take over ownership of the company from their parent. As if shared DNA somehow makes you qualified to manage a multimillion-dollar firm.
